I was walking up & down the aisles looking for chapstick & I finally spotted Kelly and asked her. Come to find out, I had passed it a long time ago. Lol. Thanks, Kelly! Then I went to find me a screwdriver & didn't know where they were. I must've gone down 5 or 6 aisles before I decided to give up looking. I saw George over at the Automotive desk helping someone else, so I waited patiently & he did not disappoint. He told me exactly where it was & even checked on me when he was walking by. Wow. Great service, George. Then, as I walked towards Grocery, I thought I would run into the game aisle, but that didn't happen. Thankfully, I saw Tamera & asked her where the games were & not only did she tell me, but she walked me all the way over there to the other side of the store. & then she helped me look for what I was looking for. Really great service! Thanks, Tamera!! What surprised me most about these team members is that they knew the exact aisle # that the items were on. Wow. What a memory!! I can say the Walmart in Sallisaw was a major shock to us. The produce is very fresh and seems like it's stocked well also. We didn't have any issues finding our products, and everything was actually at the store, so there is no need to go somewhere else. The employees were extremely nice and actually acknowledged us while we were in the store. They were able to answer all our questions, and while checking out, we had an issue with one of the registers, but the employee was very patient and fixed the problem. The store was very clean and kept up with. I wish more Walmarts were like this, but I'm happy we have one close to our current city. Thank you

I stood in the return counter line over 15 minutes with THREE…read moreReturns associates standing, joking and chit chatting while the manager helped a customer just before me. I made eye contact often (and I was standing at the return counter), but none acknowledged me until I finally complained to another customer how long I'd stood there (who was also waiting). Then suddenly they begrudgingly helped - no apologies, and continued being rude. I commented, nicely, I wanted my refund back to my original pmt method (they always ask), and the associate snapped my head off to "wait". I calmly told her that was unacceptable. Something like this happens only at THIS store, 2-3 times a year, at the returns counter. I always have my receipt, well within the return window. Sadly it's my closest store, the next being another 25-30 miles away. The lack of professionalism here, is light years from any other Walmart. Over the years, this store location service has gotten worse and worse. Lazy, unprofessional, and rude - If you try to return anything with a receipt, they treat you like a criminal - they will out right refuse their Great Value returns which are guaranteed satisfactory - I have to go to another store who has no problem doing those returns (with a smile). This store also does not offer any services - no food nor RX delivery. They took away their Scan and Go quick check out option which was wonderful.

Say you find a new yogurt or cereal you like and buy it consistently for a while; you come in one day to pick it up and it's not there. May never be there. You just don't know. Not a good Walmart for grocery shopping really, but if you need to just pick up a few common, everyday items you'll probably have some luck. Also, you can't find simple things like coasters or photo albums. Odds and ends are limited. However, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Can't blame them for not being able to find everything you want or need as they have no control over what they're sent to stock the shelves. Great, friendly, small town atmosphere where most everybody knows everybody and you're always greeted with a smile and usually leave with a small conversation at the registers. There are no self checkout lines (which is refreshing) so you've still got the personal shopping experience of interacting with real live human beings at the end of your trip.

I think this place is a local favorite contender as its special factory with deep local roots. Tourists to the Hot Springs spa will surely want to make foot traffic here. (Pun intended) Staff is friendly and they are helpful and happy to find the shoe that fits! If you are visiting Hot Springs on a Girls Trip or just taking in the sights in the Lake Hamilton area, consider this place to visit and pamper yourself with Nordstrom quality shoes at a DSW price without the awkward cast offs or overly funky shoes. Sometimes tasteful can be affordable. And that includes this local place.
