Finally had a chance to try Kindred last week(end)…read more I was honestly won over when we first walked in....we didn't have a reservation but asked if they could accommodate two for dinner. The hostess/server was awesome: not pretentious and looking down her nose at us since we didn't have a reservation. She did say that she needed the table by 7 PM. No problem! That said, it was pretty busy for being early in the evening. Guests kept coming in as we were getting ready to depart. The food that we tried was very good: -the chips with crème fraîche were very nice, but I don't know that I would go out of my way for these again. I really enjoyed the chips themselves... very thin and light ...and quite salty (in a good way). A little bit of fish roe is mixed in for "extra saltiness" and a little bit of a fishy experience in the crème fraîche. -Brussel sprouts for me were the winner! Absolutely delicious and we added some chicken so that we'd have a little bit of protein. Grilled chicken was perfectly flavored and not dry at all. Brussels sprouts had just the right amount of char and umami. -flatbread was honestly my least favorite. We stuck with the basic burrata/Margherita pizza/flatbread, and after eating the brussels sprouts it just didn't hold up in terms of flavor. Some of the other options might be better if you're looking for more of a flavor punch.... but it was served steaming, hot, and freshly made. As more people showed up, it definitely got noisier... so prepare for a bit of a loud environment...pretty much the same situation in all downtown Saratoga restaurants these days. I will definitely go back and try some other items on the menu.

I had a seasonal apple flavored cocktail that didn't have much apple flavor. We got two entrees to share. The squash ravioli is out of this world!! Seriously delicious, really great flavor, loved the pepitas! The steak frites was disappointing. The potatoes and aioli were good but the steak came out cold, a bit over done, and chewy. Service was really kind, our server was friendly and answered all our questions.

It's beautifully renovated with a great view…read more The staff are looking at their phones and the bartenders are sloppily dressed -think: annoyed college co-eds that woke up too late to change out of their kinda dirty sweat pant / pj combos. The whole vibe is relaxed marina chic/barista-snobs serving elevated lake-side pub fare. The food is creative but underwhelming. The beef bulgogi was acceptable. The lobster roll was bleh/meh. Let's be honest though...You're not really going here for food. You're going here to look at the lake and be seen. On a nice day, the wait times are long and the staff are somehow smugly happy to tell you that you have to wait. Overall.....It's fine. Really. It's fine. Go here. Just don't expect amazing food or attentive service and you won't be let down.

The experience was weird from the start. When we walked in before a couple, we were asked table or bar outside, but as we were thinking the host interrupted to say she was going to sit the couple behind us first. It was awkward, not that busy, and her coworkers also were surprised she said it that way. Moving on from that we got Miami Vices, they were good no complaints. Out server Noah was very attentive as well. Nashville fries just alright (prefer the Buffalo ones at Druthers), and the calamari was dried out and not good. They'll stay open because the location not the food.

Our friend and neighbor, a musician, was playing at a local bar in town, so a group of the…read moreneighbors went to show our support. My hubs and I had never been to Kraverie before and were happy to try a new place. I am glad that we did because we made up about 75% of the patrons on a Thursday night, which made the bar's owner quite happy. I checked out the menu before we went. OK, typical bar food but with an emphasis on kimchi (I'm not a fan). They serve chicken wings "nice or naughty (spicy)" and they were good. The dumplings (we call them potstickers) were typical, also fine. My hubs liked his taco (street-size). I ordered their Steak Salad. A disgrace. Bagged lettuce accompanied by two small slices of cucumber. The 'steak' was 1/4" size square pieces of dried out meat whose texture was like shoe leather. It was very hard to find the 'steak' in the salad which is why I didn't bother photographing it. I am being kind here. It was awful. The tables are so close together that I felt the back of the person at the table in front of me (we were back-to-back) touching me the entire time. My spouse was challenged eating his food because his chair didn't fit at the table because of the person behind him. WTF. They had one server for the entire room which included perhaps 10 tables plus the bar. This was clearly insufficient and service suffered (we don't blame her). We went to support our musician friend. We probably won't be going back.

I have been wanting to visit Bibulous since I heard about it !…read more We visited on a cold January night and were the first to arrive It was very cold in the restaurant! There was no hot drinks on the menu that I can recall I do not drink alcohol, but was looking forward to a tasty well made mocktail. There were 4-6 choices and mine was very tasty The food choices disappointed me. It was mini hot dogs with the works, chicken tenders, macaroni and cheese, potato chips and dip, french fries Definitely I do not belong to the targeted customer, which I believe is an elementary school' age crowd Deserts, each sounded good The peanut butter pie was the table favorite. I ordered lemon cake made with olive oil. The sauce on top, a lemon raspberry concoction was SOUR!

We weren't quite hungry, so we ordered a bunch of snacks and had a mocktail. After, we also tried their desserts. The friendly staff bring you your menu which has food on one side and drinks on the other. An important thing to note, is that you must place your order at the bar. Not awful though as they bring it to you once your items are ready. The overall mood of this place is dark and broody. Very casual, and laidback so it's perfect for a chill evening. We shared some chicken tenders, chips and dip, air fryer fries, mini hot corney dogs and mac and cheese with our mocktails. Lastly, we had a slice of peanut butter pie and olive oil lemon cake. Bibulous also had some drink specials and dessert posted on the board if you still wanted more options. For a hangout, check this place out!
