I have been going here since I was a kid. Hands down one of the best pizza pie's in the county. We used to get them quite often. I'm not sure why we stopped. I think we moved and we were not close and just forgot to be honest. My Mom used to make my Sister, and I share our Birthday parties there because our Birthday is in the same Month with in a few days apart. I can remember having Pizza eating competitions with our friends, and my Mom getting so mad because she had to keep ordering more pizza....well now I understand why! Haha they are a hefty penny! When I was pregnant with my boys I craved the lunch special. I came in several times a week. They have one of the best salad bars around town. I see the negative votes on Track Town and I don't get it. I can't see why anyone would not like this place. I understand that this is not gourmet artisan pizza. There are no Thai chicken pizzas on artisan crusts made with cornmeal ground by Old Ben the farmer down the road. There is no foraged mushroom and goat cheese pizza with the goat cheese coming from a goat out back that has a name. And don't get me wrong, I like all the gourmet frou-frou stuff. I'm not a snob about that stuff. Track Town is not that kind of pizza. Track Town has the kind of pizza you want after a softball league game with a pitcher of beer and the rest of your team all dirty and sweaty. The kind of pizza you want after a long drive back from a trip when you are feeling fatigued but don't want to go home and cook, or sit in a fancy restaurant. Or...after watching a great track meet when you want to sit and relive the meet with your buddies and talk a little too loud and throw your hands around and get excited! The pizza is on a thick yet crispy crust, chewy and homey and thoroughly satisfying. The sauce and the toppings are fresh and tasty and hearty and are strong flavors. My last stop there, we had The Hammer which is pepperoni, linguica and pepperocini and it was great. Spicy and filling and my mouth was tingling at the end. Great with a Drop Top Ale on the side! I love coming to Track Town before or after a big meet at Hayward Field. We came to Track Town on Friday after day 3 of the NCAA Championships, and had fun seeing athletes and friends and family from different schools come over and just enjoy themselves--Baylor, BYU, Washington, UCLA, Princeton, Texas. Robbie Andrews came by with his family, he had just given a great effort but did not quite win the 800, but he was there with his family and was having a great time with a little sister (niece?). Anyway, we walked up and said hi, good race, and you'll get it next year (he's only a freshman). He gave us a big smile and shook hands and went back to his pizza. After a long full day of driving and getting a hotel on our way home. We were so hungry but it was pretty late. Luckily this restaurant was open! I just need to start this off at the employee Katie deserves a RAISE. She was absolutely kind, helpful, and had the best customer service ever. BY FAR the best pizza place in Eugene! Im not sure how to describe the type of pizza that they serve but it reminds me of a place from my hometown in Rancho Santa Margarita called ballpark pizza which was used for every team banquet dinner, award ceremony or after as big win. Well well. The pizza we've been looking for! Ordered our first pizza from Track Town. Had some trouble ordering online so I called instead. Got a lovely young woman on the phone, and although she said she was new, she was so friendly and patient. We ordered a large half pepperoni, bacon, and Canadian bacon, half mushroom, pepper, and onion. I must say I have never seen a pizza with the amount of toppings this one had. Right to the edge...crust is different but delicious. Not too thin, not too thick, and perfectly crispy but chewy. Sauce has a bit of smoky flavor and there was just the right amount. The delivery was fast (within a half hour of ordering) and the delivery guy was friendly. Our pizza was a bit over $25 but worth every penny...finally a delicious pizza that doesn't taste like every other pizza. I'm impressed. read more

First off...the good: the staff is friendly and very professional. The main reason for a 2 star rating really is the fact they have great people working there. Now for the rest: the pizza is "ok". We had "no actual" complaints about the pizza. The flavor was "good" but not amazing. Ingredients were piled high and to the edge of the crust. We ordered a large "Decathlon". It's a 14" pie...but the fact it was $37? Really? I have NO problems paying that price if the flavor and value justify it. However, for $9.95 we would have had significantly more pizza with as good of flavor by picking one up at Costco. It's on par with Abby's....again "good" pizza. But it's definitely not anything to write home about - and it's massively overpriced. The history of the place is great! The location is right across from the beautiful new Matthew Knight Arena. Our group of 15 ordered 5 giant pizzas and several pitchers of beer after finishing the Civil War Relay from Albany to Eugene. Every pie was piled high with toppings which left out room for the homemade sauce; it was barely noticeable. The pizzas were thick and the slices were big and heavy. Not a lot flavor came out of the veggie ones but the meat pies had a perfect amount. There was only Tabasco and crushed red pepper to add for spice but it managed to accomplish the kick we were looking for. I am writing this review for the customer service and delivery. On 9/29/17 I decided to order delivery due to mobility issues. The guy who was getting my order seemed rushed and confused. Most incompetent person I've ever given an order to. He didn't ask for my full address, only took my street name and PART of card and hung up. It took him five times for me to attempt give him my information. He kept brushing me off. 10 minutes later I get a call; "I think I screwed up on your order". Ok, gave him the REST of my address and my card and was told it was going to be an 1.5 wait. So I waited. An hour goes by, TWO hours go by. The delivery guy calls me after 2 hours demanding where I was. I told him, he screams at me "I'm in Springfield!!." I gave the right address to him. He drives over, gives me a properly cold pizza, no apology or ANYTHING. I have dined at this place and I love the pizza. While customer service is lukewarm towards me even in the store, the delivery incident was absolutely ridiculous. It took 2.5 hours to get a pizza. I live a 2 minute walk behind the stupid place. That's the problem with hype and reviews, they can raise your expectations beyond what you might normally expect from a pizza lunch buffet which means when you actually try it and it's just about what you should've expected from a pizza buffet, you're left a little disappointed. It's hard to describe the let-down that is Track Town Pizza. Being someone who grew up in Eugene and attended the University of Oregon, you'd think this pizzeria would be a staple of the town (which it most certainly claims). Unfortunately, from beginning to end, this business pretty much falls short in almost all respects. Starting with the positive, it has a huge seating area and an amazing delivery time considering the industry average. Depressingly that's where the positivity ends, because their pies likely fly off of an assembly line in record numbers. Sorry, but when I order food I don't want it built by General Motors. To elaborate, what makes this a truly lack-luster experience (and a disappointment) is the outright quality (or lack thereof) the toppings. From my now decade plus of off-and-on ordering, it's probably some of the stalest dough in the business. Think Dominos bad. Even if you can get past the meteor-hard crust, you're left with ingredients that taste like they have been left out in the open or frozen for months. My tomatoes were almost see-through clear and don't even get me started on the grease they called "pepperoni." I wish that I could deliver a review that wasn't so negative Nancy, but when it comes to pizza options in a largely college-based city, you can find options that are not only cheaper, but also ones that don't leave you wanting to ask for your money back after consumption. read more
