A prenatal yoga teacher (who successfully conceived twice following the Green Gem Health plan)…read morerecommended Rebecca to me. At 43 years old and after three years of trying to conceive, I was ready to try anything (but was still holding out on IVF). I was skeptical but hopeful and figured the worst case scenario might be that I got myself really healthy. Rebecca prescribed a diet plan of the optimal foods I should focus on (for my blood type and for inflammation), as well as nutritional supplements for balancing my adrenals and clearing my kidneys among other things (that I did not have to buy through her). Within a couple weeks, I felt more energy and balance. About three or four months later, I conceived, but miscarried. I had somewhat given up hope, but stuck with the plan and conceived again 11 months later. Rebecca was awesome throughout my pregnancy, available by email to adjust my supplements and now, after recently giving birth to a healthy baby boy, she has tailored my supplements for breastfeeding and afterwards. I have no doubt Rebecca's plan works. It makes sense and it feels healthy.

As someone suffering from a not uncommon, not life threatening, but very challenging women's health…read morecondition, I sought the help of Rebecca Curtis, proprietor of Green Gem Health in Brooklyn, NY, based on her claim that she could improve my condition. I followed very carefully a diet and supplement protocol that Rebecca developed for me at the cost of $950. The protocol yielded zero results. As disturbing as the absence of results from her expensive protocol was the very poor quality of case management I received from Rebecca. I told her in person about my dissatisfaction about the poor case management and she apologized in person, but when I communicated to her in email about the absence of results and poor case management, to ask her to reimburse me partially, and to include reviews on her website from clients who were not satisfied, she backtracked in her response, saying that I had misunderstood the service. Rebecca also refused to provide partial reimbursement or to post an honest selection of reviews on her website. I care deeply about other women like me, who need and deserve full information so they can make an informed decision prior to purchasing an expensive health service. My own person experience with Rebecca/Green Gem Health Care was very negative and zero results obtained.

The program itself was challenging because we were learning about and incorporating new habits. Leah was supportive at every step. I love how she also emphasized mindfulness and movement. I found that the principles of Leah's program rippled out to other areas of my daily life that she wasn't necessarily coaching. I felt inspired to be my best, and still do. I'm grateful for her guidance with our elimination diet - it was something I never successfully could start in earnest without her expertise. I continue to embrace what she taught us - in the kitchen, on my plate, on the yoga mat, before I sleep, when my stress levels spike - and intend on keeping the tools she's shown us sharp for the rest of my life.

From the owner: Our Mission Statement…read more To provide an office where every member of the community can receive affordable chiropractic care that focuses solely on correcting vertebral subluxations. To remove as many barriers as possible so that any person, no matter what their age or physical condition can receive chiropractic spinal check-ups. To provide information about chiropractic so the community can learn all its benefits and how it relates to a lifetime of reaching maximum potential in all areas of life. Who Needs Chiropractic Care? The essentials for survival are food, water, oxygen, and a nerve impulse. If any of these were to stop, you would die. If any of these were to be interfered with, life would be far less than optimal. We think that anyone who has a spine and a pulse will benefit from chiropractic care in some way. Our office sees a broad base of people. We see healthy folks, sick folks, newborn folks, elderly folks, and everyone else in between. Our sole objective is to help the body remove subluxations through a gentle procedure called an adjustment. This allows every part of the body to be better coordinated by the nerve system. In other words the body will perform better on every level due to an un-compromised nervous system.
