I love my preschool

Trace Academy Trace Academy 94-1388 Moaniani St #205, Waipahu, HI 96797 Every child is unique. Every family (Ohana) is unique. When we found Trace Academy 2 years ago for our granddaughter we found unique! And we found Ohana! Skylah is 4 now. She has loved going to school at Trace from the beginning. Her Daddy is a single Father. He is so grateful knowing his daughter is not just safe but loved while he is at work. Occasionally my husband or I pick up Skylah. It's always a fun experience for us. Her happy "Goodbye, see you tomorrow", and calling the teachers and her classmates by name is so comforting to us. The staff at Trace perfectly juggle being professional and personable! Our Granddaughter's education at Trace has exceeded our expectations! Note to anyone considering Trace Academy. Something no one can take from a child is their education! Thanks to Trace Academy our Skylah will be prepared beyond for kindergarten.

This is my child's first CDC! She attended the one in Aiea and she loves it! My daughter's first week is so rough! she screams and cries and throw tantrums but the number of adults supervising her made me feel confident that she is in good hands. She was semi-potty trained and happy that Ms. Jodine did not charge me for additional fee. She stayed here for 2 1/2 weeks and became completely potty-trained (thank you to the amazing teachers). They are very flexible too with picking-up and payments!

This is an appreciation post for MISS DANIELLE of the Explorers class. My son has been struggling…read morewith potty training and communication amongst other personal struggles and she has been such an incredible teacher and support through it all. I am single and first time mother of a boy and there are so many instances where I feel helpless and at a lost for giving my child the best care and while reassuring my son of what he should know, she always makes it a point to check in with me to support me. She is the perfect bridge between school and home. We sat down for a meeting to discuss what I wanted out of my son's education and as soon as we did, there was a shift at school and my son was capable of a number of things he had been struggling with prior. If there's any reason at all to choose this school, it is for her. Miss Danielle is the reason I stay.

Everyone was so friendly and knew my child's name and he loved them back. He smiled and got excited to spend his day with them and even saying goodbye, which to me was a good sign. This place was ALWAYS clean, never had any funky odors, and even the other parents where so friendly in passing. Toys, high chairs, counters, etc were always clean - I'm honestly not sure how they do it! Entry is gated with an access code and parking is located a short walk away. Teachers plan fun art activities with the children that get sent home for you to keep. Teachers update you throughout the day with diaper changes, feedings, and my favorite - photos - to see how their day is going, through Pro Care app. The ONLY reason we are no longer here, is because we couldn't afford it. We don't qualify for any kind of assistance and the cost was starting to add up for us. To the entire team at Stepping Stones Waipahu - we greatly appreciate the care you took of our miracle baby!

It's the official second week of school since my 3 yr. old daughter has started her school life. (:…read moreSo far, so good. Rosary Preschool is run by the Dominican Sisters who are amazing, helpful and oh so dearly friendly! There are three classrooms, two are for 4 yr. olds and one are for the 3 yr. olds. They have a conference room (area) as well, which I'm sure they'll be holding their Christmas Program there this years, I'm sure they've held it there from the years before. Also a great play area space located in the back of the school. The 'whole' preschool is not much, but it's enough for the toddlers to easily get used to & nothing is ever too far or too near. (: My daughter already loves school and enjoys the activities and lessons she's learning. There's always three teachers to each classroom & they surely do care for each child dearly. The atmosphere is so calm with patience, it's lovely. (: They also have the option for the kids to bring home lunch, or they had a monthly meal plan, which is approved by a nutritionist to set what is served on what day. Oh, the kids are eating the goods too I'm telling you! Shoyu Chicken, Chicken Adobo, Mac & Cheese, Chicken Nuggets...yeah so good right! They get really healthy snacks of fruits/crackers/cookies w/ milk &/or juice. So good! (:

It was just a daycare without any really love and attention and education. Now to Rosary Preschool. We moved to the area and we were scared about the education that our daughter was receiving and we came across the preschool. I grew up going to a Catholic school and I wasn't sure how they were going to be. So far it has been an amazing experience. The sisters are caring and loving. They are flexible and take the time with the children and they are patient. My daughter is finally been educated properly. She takes home homework and is learning so much while she is there. I am extremely happy with the education and care they provide.

They communicate well and also throw cute events for family to partake in. My daughter gets disappointed when I come in to pick her up - she tells me she doesn't wanna go home yet. As he's gotten older he's continued to love going to RLA. He's always happy to see his teachers and is all smiles when we drop him off. I really appreciate that they provide meals (breakfast and lunch / snacks). The lunches are impressive (IMO) and expose my son to a lot of foods we don't have at home. On another note, we liked RLA so much that we enrolled my daughter for the summer before she started kindergarten. The class size was small (which has both plusses and minuses, depending on what is important to you). Mainly we liked the curriculum and the amount of hands on activities they were able to do with a small class size. The teacher incorporated some pre-k activities since I wanted to make sure my daughter was prepared for Kindergarten.

So I have had now 3 children in preschool at any given time over the past 2 years and when I first…read morewas told about Stepping Stones by a friend who had children enrolled I was still a little skeptical because of a huge ordeal I had just gone through with another preschool. We had such a bad experience that I think we were way over protective at that point but the staff at Stepping Stones Aiea was more than comforting. I called one day and spoke to the director Ms. Carmen and explained our situation and how we were extremely desperate to get our 2 girls into a school that not only we liked but accepted under 2 year olds (such a hard thing to find these days lol) but anyway she invited us there for a walk through right away and explained everything we would need to know. When we first started we had an issue with one of the teachers that was from another school, that we reported to department of licensing and Ms. Carmen made sure while the investigation was underway she was never with my children and then in the end she was moved out of the school. Ms. Carmen was very helpful and very understanding. First off I loved how clean and organized the school is. Parents don't wear outside shoes in the school. You take it off by the door or wear a shoe cover. Every afternoon around 4ish you see teachers sanitizing all the toys and shelves, I have seen them literally sanitizing each and every little toy one by one. With so many little ones in that school I feel that this is one of the most important things and I love how well they do it. You walk in at the end of the day and you can just smell how clean it is. Secondly I love that it is locked and you need a code to enter the building. The last preschool my kids where at you could walk in and go into a class all without anyone seeing you. there was a front desk which no one was every at so it was very scary with how loose the security was. I love that I can leave my kids here and walk out knowing that no one who is not supposed to be in the building will get in. My youngest child has health issues which restricts her from eating certain foods and when I was applying for them to start attending I told them about this. I was required to bring in a doctor's note, which was perfectly fine and then they were able to accommodate her. This school does not provide lunch; we bring home lunch daily but they do provide 2 snacks daily. Due to her being in the toddler class, she was 17 months at the time she started, she was given a high chair with her name and food restrictions on it so that she couldn't take others foods or the kids can't share. The director even bought other items of food to replace the food she can't have on days they had the items. There was an issue with the daily reports on the parent post where it looked like she was given food she wasn't allowed, but it was a misunderstanding and Ms. Carmen made it so we would get a photo of her eating each meal to have peace of mind. They really go above and beyond for the children in their care and the parents. You can tell that they love what they do and that they truly are in the right field of work. My oldest daughter no longer attends as she goes to DOE now but she loved her teachers and still talks about them and we had to put photos up in our home to help her feel better about no going there anymore. I would recommend this school to everyone I know as they have been nothing but the best for our family and we are so happy we found them when we did, only wish we found them sooner :)
