This company displayed the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been waiting for a week for an appointment and when it finally arrived at 8 am they scheduled me for, I received a call at 8:15 that they were running 30 minutes behind. 9:30 rolls around and still no one has showed up. I call and Teresa told me that someone came at 8:30 but no one was home which was a lie because I was out front doing yard work while waiting on them. I asked why no one called when they clearly knew I was waiting for them and spoke to them at 8:15 and said it was acceptable for them to be running late. She wouldn't answer that and asked me if I wanted another appointment for a week later. I quickly replied no thanks as I will not be giving this shady company my business. They lost out on roughly a 100,000.00 job due to lack of service. read more

Set the appt for over a week out (so they could schedule appts in the same area), for an estimate to finish work left by previous contractor and to do a new bathroom build. Office called the night prior to confirm our address and meeting time. They were scheduled for between 1-1:30 today. At exactly 1:30, the office called to say that with their schedule, " they did not believe they could service us in a timely manner". TOTALLY UNPROFFESIONAL. We moved other commitments around to accomodate their schedule, and they called WHEN THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN HERE to say they were not interested. It would have been nice to know that anytime BEFORE the scheduled meeting time. Like maybe even the night before when they called to confirm the appt time. I understand people don't like coming in cleaning up after someone else, but they should have been up front and said that instead of scheduling an estimate appt, calling to confirm, etc. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. read more

Early last year, my elderly father fell for a door to door roofing salesman and signed a contract to have his roof re-done. Only by a stroke of luck did I happen by and see the contract on the kitchen table. It was still in the legal 3 day rescission period, so I called and cancelled them. Bit of a hassle, but that's NOT who this review is about. I got several bids and TR came in the lowest by several thousand dollars. (and almost half what the door to door crooks were going to take my dad for) I agreed to have TR Construction do the job. Settled with a handshake. I liked that. The crew showed up on time as promised, had the materials and the tools to finish the job. BTW, this was a very old roof with multiple layers on it already, so it was not a matter of just nailing shingles onto and existing roof. The job was finished and looked great and my dad was happy I saved him $8.5K. Unfortunately, my dad was in declining health and passed away later in the year. Which left me with the decision of what to do with the house. My dad, for many reasons, did almost no maintenance on the house for many years, and I would have considered the house to be unlivable. Because I had a good experience with TR, I called Tony to see what could be done, All I can say is wow. He had great ideas and knew how to make them reality. We ended up doing a major remodel of the entire property including landscaping. He turned a 70 year old, dark, eyesore that had 2 small bedrooms and 1 and 3/4 baths into a three bedroom 2 full bath very nice home with lots of light. There were many, many changes including a completely remodeled kitchen with granite counter tops and tile floor, removing an interior wall to open up the living room, adding 2 modern sliding glass doors and 2 trex decks, changing the upstairs 'bonus' room into a complete master suite with it's own deck, refinishing the beautiful oak hardwood floors that had been hidden beneath carpet, and completely bringing all the electrical in a 70 year old house up to code. Tony was always prompt to return phone calls and answer any questions I or my wife had along this journey. His suggestions along the way contributed a great deal to my satisfaction with the project. The neighbors stop me and say how great it looks! I'm very pleased with the end result and I'm confident that the house has at least doubled in value. It is now a rental (and rented) and will pay back the money I've invested in 5 or six years and will be my legacy to my children. read more

I was standing in my driveway looking at my aging roof and Tony saw me and stopped. He said they had just finished a roof right around the corner and invited me to go take a look. It was beautiful !! We went back to my driveway and walked around the home as Tony showed me what would need to be repaired in addition to the replacement of shingles. I mentioned the stucco was looking bad in several places and could they paint the home. We walked around again and discussed all the areas to be repaired prior to painting. He offered a price for everything right there. I discussed it with my wife that night and we accepted the offer. After signing the proposal and paying the deposit we added a request to install two solar skylights. No problem, they could include them "at cost". The home was completely power washed. The roof tiles were stripped off, roof structure repaired, tiles laid and skylights installed. A cleanup crew came right away and except for the new roof you wouldn't know they had even been there. Next the painting crew came and spent several days preparing every little detail. The painting was done with quality Behr paint and just looks perfect. The painter suggested satin paint for the garage door which offsets it just perfectly with the surrounding walls. I was very impressed with all crew members being ON TIME every day and being very polite. Attention to detail was obvious throughout the job. We never felt like a prisoner in our home, the crews were always watchful for my wife or I so we could safely come and go. We always left the driveway completely open for work trucks. Communication was very good with the crews and the main office, we always knew the job status. We think the cost was fair and work completed in a reasonable time. We had wanted to do this for several years and feel lucky Tony happened by when he did. I would recommend TR Construction for any home repair or improvement. read more

We had TR Construction come out to place a bid on a rental remodel. Bottom line is I would recommend that you contact TR to come out and bid your work. They were professional and Tony had a great grasp of the original Scope of Work. The only reason I didn't give them a full 5 stars is that as my understanding of the project widened, I had some changes and questions on the scope of work (e.g., Could we proceed with a no-plan permit vs. drawing up plans? Did the allowances for toilets, etc include product pickup and site delivery? How much more would it be to demo 400 sqft of concrete?). Naturally, I submitted my questions via email. I didn't hear back right away so I called. Linda, who helped Tony write up the bid, at first seemed overwhelmed by my questions. But, once we committed to talking out each question, she was very knowledgable and could answer several questions on the spot. A few she would have to take back to Tony. This whole process took over a week to update the estimate. So, the missing star is simply because I didn't think their system supported how I communicate. But everyone is really friendly and easy to talk on the phone or in person with. I mean, in the beginning, Tony himself was able to come out quickly and walk the job. He had great ideas and was attentive as we talked about what we wanted to have done. He took measurements, made helpful suggestions and was overall very pleasant. Of all the contractors we had submit an estimate, TR Construction submitted theirs the fastest and with a very good, detailed scope of work list. A few other big positives - Theresa is always there to answer the phone, so that is really comforting when I'm working through the details of the estimate and want to reach someone. The right person calls you back (Mike handles scheduling for example) and each person seems to know what they need about your job to answer a question. We ended up selecting another contractor to complete our work, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend giving TR Construction a call if you have any major remodel work, especially if you already have a good grasp of your scope. read more

Starting from the estimation process, Mike was the only guy who showed up on time for the appointment amongst the other roofing companies that I had contacted. Mike was very thorough and professional in explaining the details in what was going to be done during the re-roofing and also the replacement of the back patio's flat roof. Their work crews worked diligently and their workmanship is of high quality. My neighbors have said that the new roof really looks good. The work crews also did a very good job of cleaning up around the areas where they worked and hauling off all the discarded materials. Best of all, no down payment or partial payments required by TR Construction; payment was only due upon completion of the job. I am highly recommending TR Construction if you need your house to be re-roofed or install a new roof. read more

I originally had hired another contractor to create my set of plans and build my room addition. The design person that created the plans was having some trouble getting the cit to okay the plans so i started to get worried and frustrated with the amount of time this was taking . That's when i called TR construction and met Tony. He took my plans and with his design man easily set things in motion and got the permit to in order to begin my remodeling project. With Tony i completely expanded and remodeled my kitchen, added a bathroom and extended by bedroom. As promised Tony completed the project on time and on budget with first rate quality workman ship. TR is a great company that provides thorough service. We've had several improvements done by them (roof, patio cover, tiling the house, kitchen remodel, front door replacement). Tony is affable, honest, and forthright. He hits his budget estimations too, which is great. No gotchas there. You'll usually see him at the start for the bid, and he'll visit when the job is done. The rest of the crew is great. Shout out to Angel for being a crew chief; keeping things orderly and making sure when his guys leave the place looks cleaner than when he got there. Even when he demo'ed our kitchen, you couldn't find a leftover nail after he was done. I'd point out that during the kitchen remodel, they were fine with whatever materials sourcing we wanted to do. We got out own cabinets and countertops, and they modified the pricing to account for that (if not, they could handle those jobs too, we just wanted to save some money using Ikea cabinets and prefab countertops). I have used TR construction for my roof problems for last several years. Last several years, they have been very quick and pleasant to work with, Last year, after Mike Hernandez and his son, Mike fixed the roof, I inspected their fixes for the first time in several years. According to our contracts over the years, they were supposed to replace the broken tiles. But none of the chipped and cracked tiles were replaced. Besides the broken tiles, I also noticed the large gap between the chimney wall and the roof tiles on two sides of the chimney (upper side and one of the down sides) exposing the underlayment. The roof works had been done on these areas before by TR construction, and the areas were still under their warranty. When I called the office about that, they told me that they would not replace the chipped and cracked roof tiles because that was the industry standard, but they would send out the roofers to check out the chimney. When Mike and his son, Mike showed up to address my issues, they came in with a bad attitude. I pointed out that one of the down sides of the chimney had roof tiles tight against the chimney wall but two sides (the upper side and one down side) had 3-4" gap between the chimney wall and the roof tiles and I asked them to put the tiles close to the chimney wall, Mike yelled at me saying that I told him how to do his job. I said I was telling him what I wanted for my house. And that is what the company is obligated to do under the contract. He walked out angrily leaving his son to put roof tiles close to the chimney. His son threw down the old tiles from the roof onto the side yard and into the planters. I asked him not to do that. He put the tiles close to the chimney only on the down side of the chimney which prevented water from flowing down the roof. I could see that what he did would create a pool of water and water would stay there . He even said that water would stay up there with smirk on his face and took off. At this point, I simply did not wish to deal with these people any more. Since then, my roof around the chimney leaked into the ceiling of my living room and it created a huge stain on the ceiling, which was stemmed from their shoddy work. The company is as good as its employees. I will not use this company again and I will not recommend them to anyone. read more

I hired TR Construction to do my re-roofing. They started July 8, 2019 and this is their second week. I am already impressed by the work ethics, and professionalism of TR's employees, Javier and Esaias. Very respectful not only to their clients but also to the client's property as well. Almost every 2 hours, I see one of them cleaning around the perimeter of my house. It is hot outside, yet these two, Javier and Esaias, just kept on working. TR just completed my re-roofing project and it came out great! I would HIGHLY recommend this company. They have full time employees who are well taken care of, therefore these employees care so much about their work performance. We needed a new roof and so we met with five different companies and received quotes. Taish arrived from TR Construction and was by far the most professional and knowledgeable. He was excellent at returning calls and very reliable - this made us feel very comfortable with our choice of companies. We waited 4 weeks for the work to start and they started exactly when they said they would and kept us updated throughout the project. They worked very efficiently and the main roof was replaced within 4 days with very little disruption for us. The roof looks great and we are very happy with their work overall. This would have been a 5 star review but we were a little disappointed with the finishing and caulking in one small area of the house. We pointed this out to them but by that time they had moved on to other projects and it seemed a lot of hassle for them to fix it. Pushing the issue seemed pointless because it was not critical but it would have been good to make it perfect. So glad I didn't see some of the unfavorable reviews first, or I might have missed the opportunity to have TR reroof my home. My experience with TR, his crew and his administrative personnel was positive in terms of professionalism, courtesy, friendliness, and going out of their way to ensure a job well done and customer (me) satisfaction. Yes, pricey compared to other quotes, but I wasn't about to take a chance with a less expensive 2-3-person crew to demo, install, and clean up in a timely manner. I've seen this kind of work drag out for 6 weeks and longer. These guys were on it like greased lightning and finished the job in the 5 working days promised; also, the install crew's foreman was all ears and understanding in hearing my questions, and all brain and professionalism in answering to my satisfaction. And whoever thought they encountered a rude person at the office must have reached a wrong number! When the time came to replace our old wood roof, we got about 8 or 10 quotes for every type of roof. We chose TR construction not just because their quote was the most competitive, but because of their service. Nothing was too much trouble (samples delivered same day), their office staff were courteous and responsive, and all our questions were happily answered. They started and finished when they said they would, and they cleaned up after themselves. The construction employees were always friendly, professional and polite. Again, nothing too much trouble. I was very impressed by this organization and the representative, Michael S., who visited my home for a roof inspection. I called and left a voicemail with TR Construction and was promptly called back in a professional manner and also followed up with a couple of times when I forgot to call back. They clearly have a system in place to be sure no customer is left behind or does not get a call back. When Michael called me back to set up a time, I felt that he did a good job in working with my schedule to find a time that would work and we set it up. Once he got to my home, some of the work that I had originally called them about had already been done. Rather than acting upset or leaving, Michael hopped up on my roof to give it an inspection, and he also took a look at the work I had already had done. He gave me a thorough synopsis of the health of my roof, things to keep, and eye on, and areas where I may want to consider doing a few things to keep the roof working strong for years to come. Rather than telling me I needed to replace my roof sooner than later - like a few other roofing contractors have done in the past (I have a very low grade roof for the shingle type and I bought the home 2 years ago) - Michael told me I probably have another 20 years left with my roof and that it overall looked great. I appreciated his honesty, timeliness, and overall professionalism. If I ever had a major roof issue, needed some repair, or just wanted a bid on some remodeling - I would 100% work with these guys pending pricing negotiations, etc. They seem to know what they are doing and are in the business of doing good honest work - something that is harder and harder to find these days. read more

I sent an inquiry through their website to get a free estimate on remodeling 2 bathrooms and the receptionist (Teresa) called me to schedule an appointment for Thursday. I told her Thursday wasn't going to work and asked if we can get someone to come out the following Monday, she said she would call me back to confirm. Also had patio roof overhauled with new backer boards and roll roofing, sunlight and seamless gutters on patio, and R30 insulation installed in attic. TR Construction was impressive from start to finish (less than 2 1/2 day install). Additionally, we have a 10 year labor warranty and lifetime manufacturer's warrant. The owner, Tony, came by for the estimate (he is very familiar with the houses in my neighborhood) and in less than 30 minutes had a detailed proposal. I am so impressed by TR construction's work! Their price is very competitive with 3 year warranty. Since the roof leak was under the solar panel, it took me over a month negotiated the solar company to schedule the solar panel removal. TR has been waiting so patiently for the result and adjusted the price once solar company agreed to remove the panel. Once I gave the panel removal date to TR, they schedule the repair just the day after, not wasting a single day!! When the crew came (actually even a bit earlier than scheduled time), Mike was so professional, carefully examined the exact location of the leaks in the house and its associated roof location, replaced many many broken tiles and even left us a couple of spare ones for future use, and finished the job beautifully in just one day. Mike took a lot of pictures/videos of the roof leak with convincing evidence that the leak was caused by the solar panel installation. That will give us the chance to get reimbursed (if possible) for the damage done by solar company, could save us thousands of dollars. I could not be happier. I agreed to terms with TR and I've got to say I'm very impressed with there quality of work and timeliness. They had there HVAC buddy's come in and do a fantastic job and we absolutely love it.. the roof looks amazing we are 100 percent satisfied... I would highly recommended TR Construction.. On a final note the actual estimate came out cheaper at the end by 700.00 so they are an honest company not just trying to get your money for a job. They even painted my fascia boards just because they want us to be satisfied... I had a great experience working with Tony and his team from TR Construction. I had them build a large patio cover that required architectural drawings and a city permit. After talking with several contractors who came to bid on the job then never sent a quote or never even showed for our initial appointment, I met with Tony. For our first meeting he was on time and professional. We discussed the project and he showed examples on his iPad of his other work. He helped me visualize some of the concepts I had in mind with the pictures of other work he had previously completed. I was on the fence about going through the formal permit process with the city, but agreed to move forward. Tony and his team took care of all the details and now I have the architectural drawings and permits for the property if I eventually decide to sell. In the end, I'm glad I was persuaded to go through the formal process and feel that it was completely worth it. I thought they TR Construction was great! They did what they said they would do and were considerate and professional. The foreman, Clemente, was polite with a no-nonsense approach with the crew. I thought he set the tone for his guys and got things done! I was never pressed for payment. The crew showed up on time and did the work that they promised on a reasonable timeline. We went with this company when we needed our roof replaced. Their quote was very reasonable and they seemed very professional. We had a rough time with my solar company, trying to get my solar company to get the panels off of my roof and they were understanding and patient with that and were able to start the job the day after the panels came off. They started on a Wednesday and were done on Monday and cleaned up on tuesday and then did a walk through with us on Wednesday. The guys who did the construction were great. During the walk through he noticed some wood on the eves that they had replaced so he called their painter out for the next day to paint the raw wood and that guy was very polite and quick and he got the same exact paint that I had showed him we used on the eves a year prior. They also replaced 4 of my skylights and were quite efficient and did a fantastic job. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

I was out from the east coast for a family emergency in February 2012 and noticed the ceiling of my parent's new addition had water damage and leaked badly during a rainy night. I called TR and Tony came the next day and assessed the situation pointing out that the house needed gutters to divert water as well. He gave me a quote that was way lower than the contractor who did the addition. The crew came out the next day and took care of the roof that day. I had to leave to fly back home and left them to repair and paint the interior while my mom stayed home. She was happy with their work especially when they cleaned her high windows. Our house is just over 30 years old with a Tile roof and we were concerned about leaks after having all our ceilings refinished. Over half the homes on our street have had some kind of roof problems after the last big rain. I was looking for a contractor that would do a quality job at a fair price. We have had some horrible experiences in the past, (especially with a pool company that shouldn't be in business), and my wife and I were concerned about picking a contractor. My neighbor across the street had his roof worked on and he couldn't stop talking about how good of a job the company did on his roof. I called TR construction and they sent out Taish to look at my roof and explain the options. There was absolutely no pressure to buy anything, or go for more expensive options. He answered all our questions and told us about the company. I was emailed a quote within two hours after Taish left my home. We decided to go with them, but since my wife was going to be traveling for awhile we postponed the job for a couple of months. Since I live near there office I stopped by twice and changed scheduled start date. The office staff is very friendly and professional and made needed changes with no problems. They started on the day they said they would, emailing me updates, and calling me regularly. The same crew that starts the job stays on it, and finishes it. There is no way to get around the fact that getting your roof replaced is a messy job, but they were able to clean up at the end of each day. The workers were very professional and always addressed any concerns I or my wife had. They had to replace a lot of termite damaged wood. My wife likes to know what goes on and why each thing is being done, and they were happy to tell her what they were doing. They finished one day earlier then they had expected and then the guttering and clean up crews arrived, all very well coordinated with completion of job. The clean up crew is amazingly efficient and fast, they must have been doing this for a long time. I have already received complements from neighbors on how great my house looks. I also had all the exterior wood painted. Bottom line, I recommend TR construction for roofing jobs and would use them for anything else I needed done. Mike came out and checked on job while they were working, and at completion of job did a inspection of work and once again answered all our questions. My wife is very critical of work being done on house, but she was very pleased with TR. My house, especially the roof is a big investment and I didn't want to give the job to an unlicensed, probably uninsured company. I had two guys walking my neighborhood saying they could beat any bid I got, but when I tried to check on there company couldn't find it. I recommend TR Construction without reservations. read more

I had a roof leak during the second big storm of the winter. As you can imagine roofers were busy and many wouldn't get back to me at all. The roofer the insurance company recommended wouldn't even return my call. TR Construction not only called me back the same day but was able to get someone out to quote a job the same day. Tony the owner came out to meet and was a straight shooter about my options as well as the fact that they had many repairs in front of mine so it would be a couple of weeks. But I signed the contract and two weeks later they called and had a crew out. Talking to different roofing companies showed me that roof repair is wildly variable on how big a job the roofer wants to make it. Tony proposed a small/medium sized repair which was what I was looking for rather than some of his competitors that thought the whole facet should be replaced because I had one tile slip out of position. TR Construction is owned and operated by Tony Rosetti and his family. Tony was a pleasure to work with throughout the 14 months we engaged his company to complete the replacement of our dining room, kitchen, bathroom with a shower that he added in place of our HVAC system and a closet, as well as a new heavy timber outdoor A Frame patio complete with fireplace. They also re-roofed our entire home in preparation for solar panels and worked very well with the solar provider through the process. When there was an issue, and it does not matter what company you work with, there is always something needing attention, Tony addressed it immediately every time. The foreman he assigned to our project, Miguel, did an outstanding job throughout the project. What a relief! My roof had leaks, rotten spots, and termites. I called Tony. He came over and gave me a bid on the spot. The work started on time and took only 3 days to complete: removed the old roofing materials, had a termite inspection, replaced all damaged wood, installed new skylights on the patio roof, installed new roofing materials on the house and patio, painted the new wood, and made my yard cleaner than before they arrived. TR Construction did a very professional job re-roofing my home and repairing rotted and termite eaten facia and rafter tails. The work was performed at the estimated price, completed on schedule, and the crew cleaned up nicely after each day of work. They worked around our schedule when we struggled to find the right replacement skylight I recommend them highly and I will strongly consider using them for future work on my rental property. We had a new downstairs bathroom put in by TR construction over the holidays. The project went well start to finish, and the quality of the workmanship was great! The staff were pleasant to deal with, knowledgeable, and help point us in the right direction to save money on materials. When the vendors we contacted quoted us high prices for the shower door, TR was able to give us a list of other vendors to check out. We found a vendor that gave us a great price, but didn't do install - TR came in and offered to install the door for a reasonable rate. Overall, this saved us a few hundred dollars on the shower door, Thank you TR. The workmanship on the tile was top notch. The tradesman penciled in a rough layout on the wall/floor prior to starting. He aligned the tiles so there were nice lines in the room - even though this required more work and more cuts. The cuts were made precisely with all the grout lines were uniform. The final product looks sharp - I'd like the same tradesman to do the next bathroom. read more

TR Construction just finished my remodel and it came out excellent. I first found TR Construction after a terrible experience with one of those ripoff phone solicitor companies. A friend recommended their work after a job they did for him. The owner from the company Tony came out and gave me a very fair estimate for a difficult job. I knew from the beginning that Tony was a fair and sincere person that I could trust. My job was not an easy one. Last year a tree root from my neighbors property completely cracked my slab to the point where the slab was raised about six inches through the middle of my bedroom,bathroom,and a second bedroom. TR Construction had to remove over 1000 square foot of the slab. I took advantage and had them add a large master bath and walk in closet to the house as well as new HVAC system and new roof. Everyone that I worked with throughout the process from the lead carpenter Cramer, tile installer Isais, plumber Ed, HVAC Don, painter Jorge, electrician Ishmael, cleaning crew and roofing crew did excellent work. It's not often you can get anything done and be completely satisfied, but I can say TR Construction hit the mark. I never right reviews but I thought this was a job well worth it. The price was very fair and the professionalism was above the top. I want to pay special praise also to the office staff Linda and Teresa who were not only very helpful and courteous but also called me throughout the process to schedule different people as they came out. It's funny because my son has been in construction for a few years and was so impressed with the company that he decided to leave his old job and join their team. I will not only use TR Construction again I will recommend them to all my friends which to me is the ultimate compliment.
