They also have some snack sides too, which I ordered the popcorn chicken and it was very good! The bread coating is different than your typical popcorn chicken at any milk tea spot but it was fine! Crisp, a hint of spice, and the quantity they give is pretty generous too plus with a side of sauce. Wait time can be hit or miss as it is very popular but they have an automated check out system which helps to speed things up. Sitting area is very small though inside but you do have a few chairs and tables out of the shop in the mall to sit as well. TP Tea. An excellent choice for milk tea in Oakridge mall. Wow, this place gets busy on the weekends. You can order ahead online, but I wish they would tell you what the estimated wait time is before you pay and place your order. When I placed my order on my phone last Saturday late afternoon/evening, it said that my wait (for one drink) would be 30-40 minutes! I like boba, but not enough to wait THAT long. I'm not very impressed by their drinks that I've tried. I got the strawberry milk drink one time because it was late and I wanted something decaffeinated. They don't have very many non caffeinated options, so if you're looking for that, you have I think only three or so options. And they're smoothies. My sister also recommended me to try the QQ noodles, which I thought it was an odd texture cause I felt like I was eating cold soggy noodles in my drink LOL the qq noodles didn't even really had any flavor to it either, so I feel like I wouldn't get that again. My go-to drinks are the tie guan yin milk tea (50% sweet) and the grapefruit tea (50% sweet), depending if I'm feeling something milky or refreshing! I love that this location does self ordering with the kiosk. The only downside is that they charge more than the Cupertino location, which is probably due to more expensive rent in the mall. However, their menu is limited in comparison to most milk tea shops. While they have a lot of the basics, there is not too many "out there" choices like Meet Fresh. Therefore, not many as many flavors to experiment with. It is also important to note that ordering is done through a touch screen, but two touch screens were set up so the line did not take long. The interior is also spacious, but limited seating. While I was here, I ordered the Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea for my family and the Thai Tea Brulee Tornado with boba. The Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea costed $5.50 while the Thai Tea with boba was totaled to $7.15. I would recommend not ordering the Tie Guan Yin Milk Tea as I believe you can get basic milk tea for cheaper at other locations. While it tasted alright, it was nothing outstanding. However, I was really fond of the Thai Tea Brulee. I prefer my Thai Tea to be sweeter and chose a sweetness level of 80%. They had a decent but not extensive drink menu. You order via a kiosk and it allows you to select a variety of options for your drink. I got a milk tea with cheese creama and my wife got the milk tea with boba. For my drink I thought the cheese creama was a little on the weak side. I guess I am used to the salted cheese at Happy Lemon and Jasmine Kocha. Outside of that it had great tea flavor. My wife liked her drink too. She noticed that the boba was smaller than what we have experienced at other places (not good or bad, just an observation). I heard good things about this place, but I wouldn't go back to this location. The kiosk is okay. Took a while to order. Things weren't the same as the menu an it was confusing to order off of. You see their "specials" that's written on their huge wall, then you look for the specials on the kiosk and it wasn't even the same. Tie guan yin milk tea - This has a very strong tea taste, which I know some people may not like; however, I really liked how herbally and fresh this tastes. Not your typical ooolong or jasmine tea. The balance between the tea and milky sweetness made the drink amazing. The boba isn't the best but it also isn't the worse. They are a bit smaller than normal, but I kinda liked that, as it didn't overwhelm the drink. The drink was 5/5 and the boba would have been perfect if it was a little softer consistency. Even though the boba wasn't super sweet, I think it fit well with the drink. Strawberry milk tea - I always love trying fruity milk teas because I am really intrigued by how places balance the two. There definitely was the strawberry taste with a hint of tea. I enjoyed this because the strawberry wasn't overpowering in the sense I couldn't catch the tea aroma. Clean and organized. Opening during Covid is not an easy thing but TP Tea seemed to have nailed it. It's about timing when you can. You may need to wait up to 20 minutes if the location gets busy. The tea selection is pretty good. Tie Guan Yin series is my favorite. Strawberry drinks are also refreshing and light.
