It is still shocking how great it all was. From the first time Peter showed us around and demoed the carts, to his following up over the next few months (even his patience and followup when we had delays - not them) to the finances, to them taking care of DMV and registration to delivery (on time and everything perfect with the carts) was beyond easy, enjoyable, no hassle. Even the delivery guys was nice, cool and the most amazing truck parallel parker ever :) I wish more companies were like them!!! I'm even driving out there from Hollywood soon to get spare keys just cuz they are so cool and it is nice to be reminded that there are companies and people out there who are helpful, nice, fun and totally on top of everything!

They resolved my problem in house and didn't charge me anything. Their honesty was refreshing, gaining my trust and future business. I got the opportunity to check out their show room. Fantastic selection and great prices. I probably should have come here first. While I was exploring the showroom I stumbled onto their E-Bike showroom. The Technician (DJ) was patient, helpful and knowledgeable. I was very impressed with their Dogleg electric bike. Very high chance I'll be getting one of those babies. Thanks Coast Cart for saving the day

Ummm...this is just as scary as it looks. lol…read more But it's equal parts exciting/exhilarating along with WTF(?). If you like living life on the edge, do it. If you don't like living life on the edge, stick to electric scooters. You are in a low buggie car driving the streets of Santa Barbara surrounded by big cars. But for some reason, it works in this town. People see you and are actually courteous enough to be careful around you. Some drivers do get irritated and go around you, but everyone is kind for the most part. Here is my advice: -When you first get going, find a quiet residential neighborhood street to practice and get comfortable with the controls. Don't rush yourself. NOTE: these cars DO NOT reverse, so if you get stuck needing to back up, you'll have to power off the car without putting it in *park mode* and physically back it up yourself. This is a design flaw but it won't ruin the fun. -Go with a group of people and drive in a single-file line, one behind the other. Only do two people to a single buggie ***IF*** you are with other people in their own buggies. This increases safety. -This is not the time to show off. This is not the time to be careless. This is the time to be extra careful and put all of your common sense and ***DEFENSIVE*** driving skills to use, not OFFENSIVE driving. You are the little guy, so be safe and smart. People surrounding you in their cars will respect you more for this. -Take breaks often in open parking lots and quiet spaces to keep your group together. This will also give you time to see how everyone is feeling, communicate any issues, relieve any tension. Trust me. And most importantly, HAVE FUN. You will put smiles on many peoples faces, including your own! So many people waved and whistled and clapped. It kind of brings the community together and adds to the beauty of Santa Barbara. Enjoy!

Even living in Santa Barbara for five years, it was just a great experience that made me fall in love with the city all over again! I also love that cars honk and folks wave happily and cheer you on as you pass by! The buggies are super easy to use and they also have Bluetooth (make sure you ask which one because not all have them!). You must have your drivers license and insurance to ride the buggie. I also love that SB Buggie created a Google Maps navigated tour that takes you to all of the best stops in SB! All you have to do is click the link they provide on your phone and you're set! We even stopped at a ocean lookout point to take pictures. This was just so fun! Definitely a must-do when in Santa Barbara!

Definitely worth getting a golf cart and touring the island! It was a nice, cool, scenic drive…read morearound the island. Tips: 1) Highly recommend getting 2 hours. You'll need all of that time if you end up stopping for some pictures. We got done with the whole route within 2 hours with one potty break. If we did botanical gardens or Avalon Casino, we would've been late. 2) Account for travel back to the shop in time. Lots of traffic coming back to the shop and pedestrians blocking the way. We ended up coming back in 5 mins late. They charged us $11 extra for being late. They want the cart back right at the end of your time. 3) Cruise port days are the busiest days. They open 1 hour earlier than regular time. Get there early. No lines. We got our 6-seater at 8:45 am. When we returned, it was chaos. Long lines. Crowds waiting. 4) Getting there earlier also meant less carts on the route. So much nicer! Not have to deal with too many people trying to take photos and crowding the spots. 5) Bring cash! You need to pay 2nd hour in cash as deposit. At the end, you can pay with card and get cash returned or you can pay with cash. 6) Only rental place with 6-seaters but first come-first serve. And only rental place you can reserve a 4-seater online. If you only need 4-seater and don't have reservations, the other golf cart rental place is cheaper. Customer service up front was really nice. But there was also no crowds. At the end when we checked the cart back in, the lady wasn't too happy. By then, it was really busy. I told her that the crowds in front of the shop was why I didn't get in on time, but she didn't care. She said it's up to us to bring it back on time. Got it and noted for the future. So to help out customers, I told her maybe they should have staff mention that late fee so people can bring carts back on time. She said that's not her problem. Interesting. There's only 2 golf cart rental spots in town. Both were jam packed with people, so she doesn't care. People will still rent. A bummer she's like that, but aside from her, everyone else and the experience was actually nice.

I honestly hate giving 3 star reviews or lower, but they kind of earned it. We arrived to Catalina…read morevia a cruise that made port here. Obviously, everyone on the cruise is trying to get a golf cart rental in the limited time we have on the island. Catalina Island Golf Cart tries to accommodate the influx of customers but ultimately fails. I got on the waiting list and waited longer than they said I would be called. Of course I was using the restroom when they called (there's a porta potty up the hill that looks like a porta potty but actually has a flushable toilet....nice) I missed two of the 4 missed calls and made it to the desk, but was informed that I did not answer so I was pushed back to the next available cart. Really?! Anyway, we finally got our golf cart with literally no instructions. Just here is your cart and go. Overall, a bad experience but my kids enjoyed the experience (because they didn't know the behind the scene shenanigans)
