Some hiccups with service probably owed more to the size of our parties and the volume of everyone else, but the servers worked very hard to overcome these issues. I went mainly for the Japanese curry + steak but the curry was not Japanese style, might've been Thai or similar to the Thai curries I've had with more coconut/spice than sweet/richness. It wasn't bad but still, a lot of the review is based on this. also it says w/sushi rice but it isn't sushi rice, more dry and fall apart. Wouldn't work for roll/nigiri The birra tacos on the other hand were great, I got it with chicken and it was really good. I def recommend. It only comes with four but it was enough for me. After kindly turning down an unlabeled CD sale offer made by a wannabe music artist, my buddy Pasi and I tuned in to the sound of happy munching faces enjoying health-conscious meals at TownHall. This restaurant, boasting epic dinner bowls and charming outdoor seating arrangements, was the perfect dining destination to resolve our relentless hunger. I ordered the Bangkok Bazaar, which featured wild shrimp, seasoned chicken and a spice fish sauce. The flavor made my honker run like an impala, humbling me as I thought I could handle the spice without producing a waterfall of nasal drainage. It was stupendous. Pasi was pleased with his choice of Thai Peanut. Our server, whom I swear rotated between two other ladies at times, was kind and attentive. Wow there are so many vegetarian and gluten free options at town hall, I was really impressed. It wasn't at all what I expected when I came for lunch with a friend. I had a Bloody Mary to start (though they have their own coffee shop, and a full bar), and then decided on the Thai Peanut with vegan chicken, on suggestion but the server, who was very attentive and kind. The bowl had tons of flavor, a good ratio of sauce to veggies, and I enjoyed the vegan chicken. My friend got the southern chicken sandwich and he really enjoyed it. Will definitely come back because there is so much more I want to try. Loved the ambiance, it was really cozy in some spots, but also had tvs in others if you're wanting to watch a game. This might be a family favorite. Every time I visit my son at Purdue he suggests we head to Town Hall. I almost have to arm wrestle him to consider another option. I have not had a bad meal, bad drink, or bad service here. That means, all 3 are out of this world! First off, the atmosphere here is terrific. There's all sorts of areas to sit and it's no wonder it's packed on weekends for brunch - the brunch cocktails are tasty and the food too. Whether you're at brunch or lunch or any of the other meals of the day, the food is simply outstanding. Just about every dietary concern can be easily addressed by their broad menu. And somehow, they make all the flavors work magically. Most recently we had the steak bites appetizer and it was outstanding. The nachos are piled high too. Servings? They are HUGE. If you're not a big eater, I highly recommend you share. Service - Every time we've been here, the service exceeds my expectations. If you're showing up at peak times, expect to wait. Two of us from work decided to order some TownHall for lunch. Service was great for a to-go order. Ordered via the app and picked up with no issues and was very easy. For food, I went with: Thai Peanut Bowl ($12) - Roasted chicken, a turmeric and ginger rice, some herbs, mixed vegetables, and a peanut sauce. Truffle Fries ($7) - Fries with White Truffle Oil, sprinkled with Parmesan. The came with both a Rosemary Aioli and ketchup for dipping. For dessert I ordered a cookie ($3.50) - Chocolate Chip Cookie, freshly baked described with hand chopped Belgian dark chocolate. I loved the salt sprinkled on top of the cookie. I heard they were delicious and it did not disappoint. It is a large cookie and enough for two of us to split. Next time I'll probably eat it all myself as it was so good. The fries and cookie were definitely my favorites this meal and the bowl was just ok. Would love to try Curry Chicken Noodle bowl or one of their burgers so will have to come back for carry out or maybe dine in the next time. read more

Prior to visiting, I read the reviews on google about this establishment being racist and homophobic - I was curious to see if the staff actually made minorities lifted their shirts to confirm "sagging" pants in 2022 - confirmed. Watched it happen 3 times during a 45 minute brunch window. It was cringe worthy. If you don't fall under the umbrella of a minority, their food (huevos rancheros skillet and paleo power bowl) is standard for brunch. Beer menu didn't even have a wheat beer. Seriously, it's 2022. Do better. I wouldn't recommend visiting as a minority - you run the risk of being denied entrance after pulling up your shirt to confirm their suspicions of "sagging", even if your pants are above your belly button. read more

TownHall never fails! Between the quality and friendly service and the fantastic food, I have repeatedly had great experiences there. Yesterday I went in around 1 on a Thursday for lunch. We were seated immediately. I ordered the blueberry latte to start with and it was incredible. For our main dishes, my dad got the cheeseburger and fries. The fries here are AMAZING! My mom got the grilled cheese and tomato bisque, which was also fantastic. I ordered the Harvest Salad and everything was so fresh and delicious. We swung in here super early for a game day to grab some breakfast and drinks. It wasn't crowded when we got there but after 30 minutes it was completely full. I was impressed with the menu and there was a ton I wanted to try. I ended up getting coffee with avocado toast with eggs, goat cheese, and turkey sausage. It filled me up and the flavor from the goat cheese made it all so creamy. Delicious! The chicken and cinnamon roll combo came out looking impressive, but unfortunately the chicken wasn't cooked. I visited Townhall last night and had a perfect visit! We started out with an aperol spritz and an old fashioned cocktail. Townhall has the best variety of cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drink options. I loved my aperol spritz, and my bf loved his old fashioned. We started out with the nachos and added chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I also loved the guacamole and queso on the nachos. For entrees we ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with truffle fries and grass fed skewered steak. The chicken on the sandwich was crispy and full of flavor, and I also enjoyed the fries with ranch. We loved the steak as well and the herbed butter it came with. The brussel sprouts were some of the best we've had, and the sweet potato was perfectly cooked. To end this delicious meal, we got the skillet cookie. This was truly the best dessert I've ever had! The ice cream was wonderful, and the cookie was so soft and filled with melted chocolate chips... will be dreaming of this cookie!!! Definitely treat yourself if you love chocolate chip cookies and ice cream. The service was a 10/10 for the entire meal. Our server was friendly, attentive, and helpful with recommending menu options. Our food came out timely and everything was accurate. Came here for a VIP dinner with my summit of greatness event folks. Sat outside and beat the rush around 7pm. The weather was nice outside. Saw the menu and was excited to see a more healthy and conscious menu! The appetizers were fire! Truffle fries, keto chicken tenders, and cauliflower lettuce wraps were so good. Also they had sustainable wines! I got the grass fed steak and that was also super delicious. I'd eat it again and it didn't taste grassy at all. Definitely the best bar I have been to in Columbus. We went here while we were in town for the weekend. The bartender was outstanding and the food was incredible. I have never been to a bar where the food was health focused and 99% of the time I wouldn't want that. This place far exceeded any bar food I have come across.
