My second experience was when I was looking for Herradura Coleccion de las Casa, Scotch Cask, for a friend's birthday, which I was unable to find anywhere (really, anywhere - even the Internet). When I had asked even my favorite neighborhood liquor store where I live in NYC, they told me to order it, I'd need to buy a case. My friend is great and all, but he's not getting $1200 worth of good tequila. #sorrynotsorry In any case, I tried Cellar XV knowing from past experience that they have unique items, but unfortunately they did not have it. I have my name and number just in case, but had pretty much given up hope. The very next day I received a call from Doug and he said he had it in hand! I was shocked and thrilled (nothing better than finding the perfect gift) and just went to pick it up this weekend and he had it ready and waiting for me. Their refrigerated wines and drinks (beer, malt beverages, high noons etc.) are always the perfect temperature, great to bring to someone's house or frankly, my own.
