This is another place that I've been to numerous times, the first being when I was a kid. It's basically a national park but the thing is that it is located in an extinct volcano (which is probably a good thing, though I would love to see a real live volcano one day). There are a number of walks through the park, including one up to a peak where you can get a good view of the lakes. A narrow road runs through the park, and when I say narrow I mean really, really narrow (and you can only go one way, which is annoying because if you want to stop to take a look around all of the people lined up behind you are going to get really annoyed). There are also animals here, including Koalas, and they can be fairly easy to spot - just look up the gum trees and sooner or later you will discover one.
