This is the worst run company I've ever seen in 40 years of hiring technicians. This tech whose name is Thomas has a contract with American Home Shield. I've never had a company not show up or not answer the phone like this guy. I out a service request in on 6 July 2021 because my A/C froze up and then melted getting everything wet in my basement. Thomas tells me that the part I need called a Thermal Expansion Valve is still on order but I called another local HVAC company who has the part but doesn't do work for American Home Shield. Nevertheless, they would sell Thomas the part at cost but Thomas never answers his company phone. Do not use this company. I've complained to AHS who does nothing. read more

Filed a claim through my home warranty, for $100, and the tech came out nearly immediately to examine my issue. He said it wouldn't be a problem to fix and he'd call the warranty company for the ok and get back with me. A month later, after zero communication, I called him. He had a vague memory of his visit, and then told me he needed to get off the phone because my warranty company was calling right then. Fishy, but ok. Reached back out to him a few hours later, but his voicemail was full. I sent him a text and he responded that he was on another job when I spoke to him earlier, and he didn't have any of my info on hand to give the warranty company. He said he'd call them back and get back to me. I text him the next two days, and no response. Pro tip: if you're going to ignore someone, turn off your read receipts on iMessage. I called my warranty company, who said they had no record of communication with him since early December, when they assigned him to the job. Warranty company apologized profusely for this guys lack of professionalism and assured me that they would look into his track record of jobs assigned by them. The new assigned repair company came out, diagnosed the issue, and were worried enough about the issue that they came back and fixed it same day. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. UPDATE: Thomas, thanks for your reply. My repair had absolutely nothing to do with a motor, so I have no idea why you had to order a part, let alone pay for one upfront and out of pocket. My issue had to do with duct work and, apparently, the gas exhaust from my furnace. The new technician spotted the problem immediately, showed me exactly what was wrong, explained how he was going to fix it, and repaired promptly due to concern for my family's safety. I'm not certain where to begin. Suffice it to say we have been waiting a MONTH for this company to install a new AC unit. First, they were a no-show for the initial assessment. Then, no response to 11 calls, no ability to leave a voice mail. The original call for failure of the ac was July 5th. He was to come the 7th, and, you guessed it, nope! He came on the 9th of July, and sent to ins. co. No word, until the leasing agent said she was waiting on the insurance co to send an itemized bill for 'incidentials' at + $1,000.00. Back and forth all month. He finally responded to a text message on the 30th of July, then told us it was our home owner dragging his feet. At this time, he said he had picked up our unit, and had an opening on Wednesday the 1st of August, at 4:00pm. Again, you guessed it, no-show. Another text, he called saying he couldn't install due to the rain, which was a legitimate point. THEN, made the appointment for 8:00am Friday, August 3. One more time, NO-SHOW. He answered when we called, saying he 'forgot' to let us know he had to take his niece to school for a full day of classes (?). THEN he didn't come and didn't come. When called at 1:00 pm, he said his trailer came off the ball hitch, and he had to find a new ball to reattach the trailer. Finally at 3:52pm, he showed up. The next thing was that he had gotten the wrong upstairs coil unit, and would have to just install the outside unit, and pick up the right one today, Saturday the 4th of August, and install it on Sunday, the 5th, after chiurch. I lost it at this time, and told him that was so unacceptable, and he best be here today. He hemmed and hawed, finally decided he would be here later on today. While replacing the outside unit, he found a nest of Yellow Jackets, and his worker got stung about 5 times (karma?). I told him to use my yard sprayer to kill them. He pumped it so hard, it blew up! Then gave him a can of spray, to which he used the whole can. THEN told me since it was still wet our there from the spray, said he couldn't weld the lines, because the spray was flammable. Good point, do NOT set my home on fire. He is to return this afternoon to complete this install. We shall see. Actually showed up on Saturday to complete the installation. Called Sunday to check on performance. I feel sad for him, as he is just clueless about customer service, communication, and being the best he can be. Nothing but bad things to say about his "service". I had called HomeServe, a service company to whom I'm a customer, because my heat pump would not stop running. Even when I turned the thermostat off, it continud to heat. He said I needed a new thermostat. I had planned to upgrade to a programmable one, which he didn't have. After he installed the replacement, he went out to the heat pump to throw the switch. When he retuned , he went to the thermostat and selected Emergency Heat. He reported the fuse kept blowing and the heat pump was shot. "Fortunately", he had one I could buy.When he took a call, I turned the thermostat back to plain old heat. A little while later, I took a call and he switched it back to Emergency Heat. I paid him for the thermostat and said I needed time to think. When he left, I turned the thermostat back to "heat" and everything ran fine, only I still had the original prblem: the heat pump ran continuously. Do not hire this man. He came to our house in response to a claim we had made with our warranty company. He took the serial number of our appliance to order parts, and our check for $100.00 for the service call. We never heard from him again. He does not answer his phone and will not return my calls when I leave a message. Would give him a zero if I could. read more
