My life changed when I was attacked and bitten by a German Shepherd at a Starbucks in San Jose, California. The dog severely injured my right forearm, leaving me with scarring, ongoing pain, weakness, and problems with sensation and strength in my arm. Beyond the physical injuries, the experience affected me emotionally and left me with a fear of dogs. These are things that don't simply disappear when the wounds heal. My case was far from easy. It took almost five years and eventually went all the way to a jury trial in Santa Clara County. I learned firsthand that proving someone's pain, suffering, and long-term injuries in a courtroom is not as simple as people might think. Let me tell you something about these gentlemen.
