I'm not going get into any detail about problems I've had with there pizza prep station, it would turn this review into a short novel. A few quick notes on their refrigeration line I've purchased...cheap..cheap..cheap garbage equipment and as company to deal with good luck it will be months before you here back from them to get any issues resolved, horrible customer service. In the end you will be better of paying as little extra for equipment with someone else and have that peace of mind that the purchase you made will still have some value and continue running properly for years to come. read more

They have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. The entire staff including management has a I don't care attitude. I can't believe they are still in business. You can never reach anyone on the phone, they do not return calls or emails. They clean house and hire all new employees about 2 - 3 times a year. You would think they would try to improve their customer service but it gets worse every year. Blue Bridge Bakeshop Ontario Canada I purchased a refrigerated display case from a local distributor for TORREY America and when I experienced issues, within two months of delivery, with parts overhanging the food rusting, neither the distributor nor TORREY America would assist to replace rusted parts. In fact, Linda Evans, Service Manager, informed me that 1) TORREY America warranty commenced at date of assembly of appliance and not delivery to end user, 2) That I must prove to her that I contacted TORREY America to offer proof of same while appliance was under warranty, this despite her confirming my efforts during our initial conversation 3) That the warranty extended for twelve months from that date and given that the appliance sold to my company had been manufactured in 2014 and delivered to my business in 2016....... Bottom line, too bad for my business. I own a badly rusting defective appliance produced and distributed by TORREY America. read more

I hope this reaches your corporate office. Last year I purchased one of your glass front refrigerated deli cases and also a glass merchandiser. I have to say that both of these units were the WORST PIECES of CRAP I could have possibly purchased. The deli case had a malfunctioning thermostat (which customer service refused to acknowledge and FINALLY FINALLY replaced the thermostat after MONTHS of calls. Both units had wheels much too small for their weight and size and wheels on both immediately collapsed and broke. For the merchandiser, not only did the wheels collapse, but the fan ran constantly and the doors would swing open, had to be tied to stay closed and the thermostat on this unit also was malfunctioning, keeping it too hot or too cold, in spite of lowering or raising the temp - very inconsistent. After calling customer service for MONTHS and MONTHS about my unit (which was under factory guarantee) and pleading, the customer service agreed to let me find my own service person and to pay them, since THEY would not find or send anyone (and I live in So CA - not exactly the edge of the world). My service person did repair the unit for me and I sent the invoice to be paid, as agreed upon by the Service manager at your factory or warehouse (TX). After that, I called at least six times to get this invoice paid. Thinking this was settled, after one year I find the invoice was never paid to the service person, Steve Coy, and I HAD TO PAY IT MYSELF!!!!! This was extremely embarrassing as well as being COMPLETELY WRONG. This was a warranty covered repair. In any case, I will never purchase another piece of junk from your company and will also go onto every Yelp or eBay or Amazon or whatever site and express my indignation at how I was treated as a customer. If your market share is sliding, I would suggest you take a GOOD LOOK at the quality of your products and HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS!!! I am now opening my restaurant in about two weeks and when I was searching to buy equipment the first question was the brand. Am I a disgruntled customer? You can believe it!! Do I have reason to be so!! FOR SURE. Now I wonder if anyone in Corporate will see this message - and if they will care.. By the way, I have paperwork and such to back up all these claims. A warning to All Refrigeration Companies, Do not except service calls, they have no intentions of paying you!!!!

I purchased a cooler. All of a sudden it stopped working and the company is lying and stating my employee told them it was a power surge that caused the cooler to breakdown. They refused to send someone for 10 days. I threatened them with a lawsuit and they setup an appt. in the mean time they setup an appt with their repairman and told them that it's a power surge and it won't be covered. So what's the point of sending someone? I also hired a repair tech and told them what was said by him and was told the manager reviewed the invoice and it's not covered. Surprise, surprise !Nothing has been done. I told them I would also file a complaint with bbb and they said they will make an exception and send the parts only not pay for the labor. The labor cost much more than the part. Linda Evans is has no customer service skills, she is rude and ignorant. She never returns calls. She promises follow up and then lies and doesn't follow thru. Tor-Rey refrigeration is a horrible company. They don't care about any business. They are just making crap products and selling for less to steal from businesses because the junk won't last. They find loop holes to not pay! DON'T BUY from them. read more

If I could give this business a no-star rating I would. I too purchased a double-door commercial refrigerator from Five Star Equipment in FL. The compressor went out and since it was under warranty, I called this company in Houston, TX. Got an Indian guy with a heavy accent answer and asked me how I was doing. I told him "good." After a long pause he said," I asked you how you doing ." So I answered " good" again. He then clarified how I was. I told him I wasn't interested in practicing English with him. Then he told me I was the lucky winner of a $100 gift card to Walmart and proceeded to tell me how I can claim my prize. I told him I wasn't interested and only wanted a phone number of the Tor-Rey company for a compressor replacement. He gave me a number. When I called, it was the 4-1-1 information number. I read good reviews on the model I got and the seller. Just the customer service for after care is awful. It was a good price but this junk won't last. After reading other reviews, I must warn you not to purchase this brand. read more
