A local treasure and favorite, the cozy decor makes you feel like you've stepped in to your grandma's kitchen. I recently came here for dinner. Our meal opened with two small sparkling cherry wines. We followed with a local appetizer platter, which included the famous Farci Poitevin. For dinner, I chose a delightful seafood dish cooked in Pineau des Charentes. For dessert we shared a dessert platter. If you're looking for some traditional local cuisine while in Poitiers, this is the place to come!

When we arrived, the place was empty so we weren't sure it was open, but we just were a few minutes before the crowds arrived. We were fortunate to get a table as it seems that reservations are needed here and we just lucked out. The server was helpful and spoke a little English to help us with decisions. I had a burger and fries and hubby had a croque madame. Both were good, not fantastic, but good enough that we will be back another time to try something else on the menu. Next time we will make a reservation.
