Your reply on Yelp was immediate, yet throughout October -- while I was an active client who had already paid a deposit -- I waited five days, then another five days, and then eight days between your responses. Each time, I replied immediately. I also sent an urgent message asking for same-day clarification that was never answered.
The written quote I accepted clearly listed two licensed bartenders. At no point did I receive a corrected quote or an updated contract showing a change. The confusion around staffing was never resolved, and I never received the basic planning information I needed for my wedding, including alcohol guidance or contact with the mixologist.
Your co-owner later acknowledged in writing that your internal emergency caused "lack of communication" and left clients "in the dark." That was not a minor delay -- by the time I finally received a partial response, my wedding was only seven days away.
It isn't accurate to frame this as me deciding to cancel during a non-refundable period. I was unable to move forward because I could not get timely or clear information despite multiple attempts. A wedding requires reliable vendors, clear terms, and consistent communication -- none of which were provided.
I am sharing this experience so that others can make an informed decision based on the full context, not just the selective explanation provided here.
Original review:
I truly wish my experience with Sin City Sips had been better. I booked them for my Halloween wedding and accepted a written quote that included two licensed bartenders for $1,400. After signing the contract, the company later stated the package only included one bartender.
Starting October 3rd, I reached out several times to clarify the discrepancy. Unfortunately, responses were very slow, sometimes taking nearly a week, and I struggled to get basic information I needed to plan. As the event grew closer, I still had no confirmation, no alcohol shopping list, and no communication from the mixologist they said would reach out.
I cancelled on October 21st because I no longer felt confident the services would be delivered as originally represented. I requested a refund of my $700 deposit. Even though the co-owner apologized and acknowledged the communication issues, the company still refused to issue any refund. I filed a BBB complaint (Case #24025552), but the business cited the 30-day cancellation rule.
This entire situation added unnecessary stress right before my wedding. I hope this review helps others understand my experience and encourages better communication for future clients.
