Never use Paul Davis Restoration &Remodeling of The Tri State Area-Cincinnati!…read moreThey were hired by Allstate to fix water damage from the upstairs master bath that damaged the kitchen and ceiling below the master bath. This happened May 2024 and is STILL not completed. My mom is elderly and for over a year has not had a working kitchen, no stove, no countertops, no running water in the kitchen or sink. Due to the amount of damage, she needed all new cabinets, counter tops and drywall. Between the insurance company and Paul Davis, it took over 6 months to get the cabinets ordered. This was now January 2025. I stepped in to talk to the project manager Matt as the project was not moving along and my mom tried multiple times get answers. The communication at first was fairly good between myself and Matt, project manager. Cabinets got ordered and told the would be in March 17th, 2025 and demo March 3rd. After that week went by with no word from Matt, I called and text him for answers. Was told cabinets now will be in 3/24. My mom had a medical emergency and I had to fly back to OH to take of things. Informed Matt that they had 2wks while she was in rehab to get the kitchen done. I arrived to my mom's on April 2, 2025 only to find they put all of the new cabinets in the foyer and they blocked being able to get upstairs and in the front door. Called Matt and told him they had until the next am to move and start installing the cabinets. During this whole time, with the massive stress of my mom's health, I had to constantly call and text Matt for updates and when the workers would be there. Either got no response or a response days later. When I was there they had to move the refrigerator back into the kitchen and was all the sudden told the water line was broken and had to be fixed. All this time it was never brought to mine or my mom's attention. That to me was a red flag, but could not prove that they broke it when they moved the refrigerator. Matt said he would see if he had someone to fix it and would call me back. This was on a Friday evening that the workers were still working on the cabinet install. No communication if someone was coming and then an hr. or 2 later, Romeo showed up and was told he needed to fix the leak. I asked how much, was told $100-$200. He was there 1/2hr and he told me it was $650! I was in shock and pissed but paid him and would discuss with Matt, project manager. I insisted that Romeo give me a detailed receipt as to the work done. I repeatedly asked Matt, Romeo and Chris, manager many times for a detailed receipt and was never produced. Wonder why?? I was told by Chris, manager that his charges were for"after hrs" and "under the table". Romeo NEVER mentioned this to me. I'm a smart person and knew he was taking advantage of the situation. He was paid and I consulted a Plummer and was told that it should have been about $100. I contacted Matt and was told it was for a couple of other things and still should not has amounted to $650. I let Matt know I thought his worker took advantage of me, Matt said immediately, "to find someone else to complete the project." At this point I was beyond angry and felt like they were being very disrespectful. My brother stepped in and called Chris, Manager and spoke with him and got him to agree to complete the kitchen. I called and emailed Chris at this point since I was getting little to no communication from the Project manager. There were multiple things that had to be finished and repeatedly called and emailed Chris to ask when this would be completed. Never got a straight answer. My mom and I had had enough and I let Chris know I was done playing their games and fired them! Told him they needed to finish the projects they didn't finish and be done! Sporadically got an answer from texts, calls or was told they'd be out this day, they never showed and was given an excuse why they'd be there another day. No communication for weeks as to when they would come out to fix the many issues they left undone. My mom was beyond upset and stressed her kitchen was still not done after year and both of us stressed that we are being treated this way. I finally sent an email on May 30. 2025 to Chris, manager and said they had 2 days to come complete the project. NO answerback. Sent him another email and No answer. Matt finally came out on June 6th, 2025 to my mom's to fix the many issues, was there 10mins and told my mom "he was done" and walked out. I contacted Allstate and let them know everything. I called Chris, identified myself and he hung up on me. They are negligent, unprofessional, constant unmet promises, unethical practices and poor communication. Paul Davis has never taken responsibility for any wrongdoing and Chris, manager blamed my mom and me for the delays. Unbelievable! I highly recommend if someone tells you to use Paul Davis, DO NOT. You will save yourself a ton of stress, money and heartache. Kristin
