I did not even know this was in town and it turn out they have been here 7 years! There is something about being in the sun that lets my eyes make contact with my toes and sometimes be to lazy to do anything about it. My eyebulbs are as far from my toes as body parts get. The nicest young woman helped me. She did not rush and massaged my feet and legs. My bias about getting my toes did is that they will talk me into every add on service and I will be too polite to say no to their earnestness. I know I need to work on that. But this salon didnt try to talk me into anything. They spent an hour on my toes for 30 bucks!!! No guilt. No "can I paint flowers for an extra $10". Just well done feet. I will be back read more

Sad to say, I will not be going here anymore. Scheduled an appointment for my mom and I. Didn't start working on us until almost an hour later. My mom was scheduled for a manicure which she did not receive due to poor communication. They just painted her nails which she was unhappy with the results. When I spoke to them about it, they blamed her and said she still had to pay for it. I argued that she was supposed to have a manicure and did not get one. The answer was basically "too bad". I asked the owner if she was ok with a customer walking out completely unhappy with the "services" they didn't provide. She said it wasnt their fault and if we wanted them to "fix" the problem, we would have to double pay. I know that the other nail salons in the area would not want us to walk away unhappy and would fix the problem. Im pretty shocked at the poor customer service. read more

We called ahead to make sure they had time for 2 pedis since its July 4th weekend. They were steady but not too busy. Pricing is average - definitely not too high. The place I usually go in town doesn't do shellac which is why I came here to begin with & im glad I found them on yelp! A man did mine and he was slightly rough through my experience but all the other ladies were doing a great job too around me. Seemed clean and got walk in pedicures relatively quickly, but the service itself wasn't stellar. I generally expect mild callus removal to be a part of the pedicure service, but she barely swiped over it. I needed more attention on my heels, I didn't need 15 minutes of exfoliation on my legs. I was raw by the time she was done. My technician didn't speak a word to me and shooed me out of my chair away from my mother the moment the polish was on (taking my purse and shoes with her without my permission.) It was all around very disappointing - now I just have goopy painted nails on callused feet and will need to pay for the service again when I get home. read more

I have never gone here before but decided to get my nails done for my senior prom. The service was bad. I waited 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment to even get started. When I was finally seen the lengths on my nails were all different. I corrected the young man and he fixed the problem by just adding new tips. The shape is not the same when comparing nail to nail. I love this place!! Diane is a rock star and they have a lot of creativity in there. Diane's sister that comes up from Texas in the summer and through winter break does the very best pedicure massage I've ever had! My go-to nail salon when visiting Okoboji. Nothing else compares. I've gotten pedicures here every summer and they are top notch.

I go here each year to get my nails when I'm in town for the fourth. Every year there is something that goes wrong. This year I remembered to make an appointment three days before I needed to go in so they'd have a staff member who could do my nails. I was scheduled for an appointment at 2 and as of 230 I'm still sitting in the nail chair waiting for someone to come do my nails... They only have six clients in here totally. I'm quite disappointed that they would schedule an appointment and not be able to keep it. Last year they had similar problems. The facility is cleanish but not equipped to handle the flow of people through the day. I like the idea of supporting small businesses in the Okoboji area but I think next year I will just get my nails done before coming up to the lake. read more

This was my review posted on 6/20/14 and it somehow disappeared. Update- it's been over a month and my fungal infection has not improved. I've been going to Top Nails since they opened and assumed they sanitized everything and kept everything hygienic. HOWEVER, I was in there two weeks ago and contracted a terrible fungal infection on my fingers that I've been battling ever since. About two days after my manicure I noticed that my fingers were getting really itchy and peeling. I looked closer and saw what looked like tiny bubbles under the skin (blisters), so I called my doctor. After looking at my fingers, my doctor told me I had a fungal infection around my nails caused by unsanitary conditions at the nail salon. When I mentioned this to a friend, she told me her neighbor got pedicures there and was now losing her big toe nail due to a fungus. I've been using a prescription cream for almost two weeks to get rid of it, but my doctor said it can take up to 6 weeks before it is totally cleared up. PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN GOING THERE. I was a little anxious when I was there because the towel under my hands looked used and the nail file and buffer looked well worn, but I thought I was being paranoid. Staff was all very friendly and very kind to my 7-yr-old daughter, getting her first pedi. Toes are beach-ready!

I went in yesterday and got a Shellac mani / pedi. They did a great job!! I will definitely go back.
