I can't commend this shop enough about how they deal with customers!…read moreA few years ago I decided I wanted two gerbils, I had had 2 picked out for a couple of weeks beforehand and when I finally got them and bought them home we realised one had something wrong with it's foot - it had a club foot. We phoned pets at home and had a lengthy discussion with them about it and in the end we decided it would be best to take him back and swap him for a different one (after being assured he wouldn't be put down!). After a few hours we felt so guilty we asked if we could have the disabled one back - they happily obliged and let us have him for free! The shop itself is a nice size and has lots of different animals as well as a dog grooming salon. I find it to be quite expensve but at least it's good quality.

Until a few months ago I was buying bog standard cheap cat litter with my usual weekly shop but one…read moreweek I was at Pets at Home picking up some cat food for one of my cats anyway and I was running out of litter at home so I picked up Pets at Home's own brand non clumping wooden pellet litter, a huge 30 litre sack for about £7. It's so good! It lasts a lot longer than supermarket own brand litter, and actually works out cheaper. The only problems are, it takes up quite a lot of room in the kitchen and the cats like to scratch at the bag! Our cats are registered with the vets in here and while the treatment costs aren't as cheap as elsewhere I don't think, the veterinary staff are very knowledgeable and it's easy to get in and out of with the cats when you're taking them in for their vaccinations (although their constant miaowing doesn't half echo round the store!) As someone else mentioned, the small furry animals section is a real draw, especially when you have a little toddler!

Fox covert kennels is a very large place in ansty. When you…read morefirst arrive you may be a littleput off by the muddy floor and a bit of a construction site. This may have changed now as when i went here they were in the middle of buildinga brand new kennel area, with heating. So after i got out and got the dog out we walked over to reception where the lovely lady dintroduced herself and fussed the dog. She then took us on a guided tour of the kennels and told us how much better the entire site was going to be. We even got a glimpse of the new cattery which was double glazed and heated. So the kennels will be the same. Which will be great for all dogs. The actual place is great anyway but with the new kennels will be even better. Again you get the same questions about what food your dog has and that they can have a run around in pretty much a secure field. Prices are excellent and for what you pay your dog gets a great amount of care and comfort. A really really nice Kennels with great staff and super value!
