I told Mitch (5tar flooring) that after comparing with the other two vendors, he had basically no chance to do the work. The reason? He did not have any reviews. Reviews are very important to me. He apologized and told me he understood and will be available if I ever needed him in the future. After two days, only one of the other two vendors called me back, but the other guy was busy and unable to start right away. So I took a big risk and called Mitch back. Only reason I did was because he made a good impression, a true gentleman, never trying to close a sale. I am so glad I did. I am an engineer and I am proud to say I have worked with factories all over the world. I have audited plenty of places, basically I am an expert in quality with more than 40 years of field experience. I am good at spotting a work well done. The people that Mitch sent me were top notch (Carlos and a helper). I have several cameras installed in my home. So I was able to follow step by step what they were doing. Not only they worked professionally, they are some of the hardest working people I have seen in a long time. The first day they started at 10AM and left my home at 7:30PM, only resting for a 30 min lunch. Then they knocked at my door at 8:00AM as agreed on a Sunday the following day to finish the job. (Believe it or not, they also worked on a Sunday. Frankly speaking I never expected them to arrive early that day, but they did). Very impressed with their work! It wasted me two days waiting for him to respond. Be courteous to your client and just say you won't do it when you can't. Update: Lied about I wanted to pay him $75 only. He quoted $275 total for several repairs flat rate. I did offer him $50 extra for waiting time. He asked for $200 after I paid for the material, which I paid instantly. Then he claimed AFTER i posted the review saying he is waiting for an extra of $50. I thought $50 included in that $200 because the total original was $275 only flat, and he only finished one part of the job, and there are other remaining. Regardless what Mr. Burton is claiming, the fact is he is terrible at communicating the truth. You should not say "I am sorry Sean, I will come on Monday" if you did not plan to continue the job. Whatever you were not happy with, just say it out like a gentleman. I compensated you properly and have no regret. My other quote was only $100 for replacing the toilet, and I paid you $200, double the other quote, still gave you two days to follow up the job AFTER you apologized for not responding, then changed your mind and dropped the ball. Dropping the ball is totally okay, just say: "Sorry, i won't be able to help you", instead you are hiding behind your phone just ignoring the message, and chose to respond after posting the review. Bottom Line for customers: Be prepared to waste your time to start a project with him, because if he changed his mind, he will blaim it on you, and leave you hanging dry and high... Reducing my rating from 3 to 2.

The contractors were efficient and installed everything including new flashing correctly and replaced wood as needed. I had a broken pipe that had some issues prior to the installation that was repaired correctly which could have gone unrepaired. It was a big roofing project that went above expectations.
