Where do I start. We eat here tonight. We were so pleased and delighted by the food, staff, atmosphere, owner. The food was exquisite, Beautifully presented. The menu had many Greek classics plus a diverse menu of American, a tad of Italian, seafood, burgers, children's menu. Our server Alex gets a huge 5 stars plus. He was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive. He was trained well. Perfecto! This is a must go to restaurant in little Three Rivers CA by Sequoia National Park. If I lived there, I would be going there again and again. I can't say enough. I usually am not one who leaves reviews, but Tony's was exceptional. We hear wonderful things about this place, first time we drove up to try it the wait was too long and the only bad thing with that is they don't have a place or a bar to sit at and wait. We made reservations for Valentine's Day through the website and planned a whole day and evening around it only to get there to find out they had a special menu for $85 and no choices which neither of us would eat . We totally missed out on not just dinner at all because it's impossible to get in anywhere else up there but ruined what was supposed to be a very nice dinner and evening for us. Great food, amazing service and ambience! This is a small city family restaurant and they make sure to make you feel like you are at home! The tzatziki is to die for! The beef/lamb gyro is on point! Good flavor and taste! The French fries are out of this world! Sprinkle some lemon juice and they taste even better! I was extremely surprised by the lemon chicken soup! I have tasted a lot of Greek Avgolemono soups around the United States at top rated authentic Greek restaurants and this is by far the closest to the real thing when you go to Greece! Ever since I've lived in Three Rivers, Sierra Subs has reigned undisputed as the king of Three Rivers Restaurants. Well now there can be some dispute, because while Sierra Subs is still spectacular, Tony's is AWESOME! There are a million little decisions that go into running any business, and Tony's feels like they got every single one of them right. The service was quick and friendly, the ambiance was great, and the food...let me give you the rundown on what my wife and I ate: Sky High Sierra Burger- AWESOME Onion Rings- AWESOME Avgolemono Soup- AWESOME Baklava- AWESOME Ice Tea- AWESOME Pilsner Beer on tap- Pretty good. But I'm sure they have an awesome option somewhere in the bar. I plan on going back to find it. Even the ketchup for the onion rings was the best ketchup I've ever had. Like i said, it feels like they've made every single decision right. So there is now more than one great restaurant in tiny little Three Rivers. I've heard really great things about this place so we decided to check it out. To start with the pros, the restaurant is gorgeous and has such a nice vibe. The service was great, food came out quick, and the free bread with dip was such a nice touch. We got the vegetarians paradise to share and unfortunately everything was either stale or soggy, as if it had been sitting out for quite some time. Wow, everything was fantastic and that's not an overstatement. We were in a hurry to get into Sequoia so we just ordered a smash burger with cheese and a small Greek salad. The burger was excellent, the flavor was fantastic. We upgraded to onion rings and they were cooked perfectly and the salad was super fresh. Being from Southern California, we have tons of food options but this place really blew me away. Everything up near Sequoia is very rustic but Tony's is new and fresh, the ambiance can't be beat. Cute ambience, but unfortunately the food and service did not live up to it. The dishes were very underseasoned and dry. The pasta lacked flavor and moisture, the gyro was also bland and dry, and the fries were the only edible part of the meal. We waited for 45 mins for a table. My husband ordered the fish & chips, enjoyed it. We ordered two kids plates - the chicken + rice, and pita + cheese. The chicken plate came with 3 chunks on a stick. Chicken was good as well as the rice, but not worth $14. The pita and cheese was barely melted, but my kids ate it, also not worth $12. I ordered the gyro plate. Was extremely disappointed. The meat was good (don't get me wrong), but there was hardly a sauce on the meat, and I got a whopping 4 bite size chunks of tomato, and hunks of raw onion on the side. I don't know anyone whole eats chunks of raw onion. In addition I got 8 pieces of pita (while great), and a half a plate of fries. There was no dipping sauce for the pita. So in all I got meat, 8 slices of pita, 4 bite size pieces of tomato, and chunks of raw onion, and a half a plate of fries. The plate was completely unbalanced. It would have been nice to have a dipping sauce/hummus, more veggies, and maybe some rice verse an half a plate of fries. read more

Took over an hour to get a table. Service seemed slow over 45 minutes to get food once ordered. Beef on skewers was over cooked and fatty with very little flavor. for the four of us in our party. We made a reservation for 6pm and arrived at 5:45pm. We were seated fairly quickly at a table outside in the cold. After waiting for more than 30 minutes, we flagging down a waitress to order our drinks and dinner. It took another 30 minutes for water. Then after more than an hour and a half wait, the waitress stated she was sorry but they gave our food to another table. The food finally arrived cold. All in all the dinner took over 2 and a half hours with only an apology and a free hummus. This was the worst service I have received in years. I will never go back. The food tasted okay but the service was so slow, the space heaters did not help much as two in our party had to switch seats to get closer to the heaters as we were seated so far way, outside and it was very cold. I would NOT recommend this restaurant for any reason and put up with awful service. read more

I had a steak sandwich and it was amazing. Perfectly season. My husband had the chicken sandwich and loved it too. It was so big we only ate half. We order an appetizer, not sure the name, but it had cheese, and fig... so good. The place is so beautifully decorated. By far my favorite restaurant in Three Rivers Ca! First time in the area and I saw that Tony's had a food truck and a new restaurant in town. We went to the restaurant 2x. Husband ordered saddleback pork chop and it was the most delicious pork chop I've ever tasted. I ordered the gyros and it was huge! Had enough left over for our trip up the mountains for a picnic lunch. Next time in I had to have the pork chop and hubby got halibut fried fish and chips. Again - amazing! My wIfe and I dined at Tony's Taverna last nite. We are both fond of Greek and Mediterranean foods. The waiter was very nice and informative. We asked for Ouzo "they didn't have any", how about a Greek beer "they didn't have any". We settled for tea and an IPA beer. The appetizers olives and feta cheese with warm pita bread was OK. The pork chops were OK the lamb chops were heavy on the seasoning obscuring the taste of the lamb. We asked about the desert they had a good selection however they had no Greek, or Mediterranean coffee. We took our deserts to go baklava and a Galactobureko a vanilla custard. Both deserts appeared and tasted as though stored for bit long in the rrefrigerator. The service was good but at this time we don't recommend Tony's Taverna. We both hope they will improve. read more
