At 31 I have been trying to grow my fine hair long for years and have failed miserably because it would get to a certain length then start to look dry, straggly and thin so I would have to get it cut and start all over again spending more money on what has probably amounted to £100's over the years at so called high end high street hair salons. A close friend had been visiting Tony for years and told me that I should go to her, but I didn't because I thought she was just blessed with naturally beautiful long locks. However, when another friend started getting her hair styled by Tony I literally saw her hair transform with my own eyes from being dry and over processed to beautiful, lustrous, flowing locks! So I booked my first appointment to see Tony in March and I couldn't believe the difference one cut could make. Tony was incredibly professional, analysed my hair and diagnosed the problem in about 2minutes. Tony reassured me that I could achieve long, healthy flowing hair but I would have to be patient because it would take at least 12 months to achieve what I wanted. Tony cut my hair dry, eliminated all my split ends through an expert technique and I can honestly say my hair didn't look like mine. I came back to Tony 5 months later in July and this time my hair is looking even better, just as Tony said it would. i repeat all the other reviewers...i was referred by a make up artist who is bulgarian as well, she told me that tony was famous in bulgaria for her hairdressing, that she used to do supermodels' hair in bulgaria....the make up artist told me that she walked into tony's salon, and was told: i cant do anything for you now, your hair has to grow, come back in 3 months. i was gobsmacked! what hairstylist turns away £? for the right reasons?? i went to tony 4 years ago (and she still remembers what my hair looked like: a mess!)...she told me that most hairdressers cut the hair when it's wet cuz that's easier for them, but she cuts your hair when it's dry so that she can see how your hair behaves and falls particular to you. she did the same, come see me in 3 months, we did structured visits and she has totally transformed my hair to gorgeousness! i brought a friend in, the friend had her hair up in hairbands and a hat, and only a bit was showing, and tony from across the room, accurately described the problems my friend was having with her hair. She is remarkable and amazing. To top it off she is genuine and will never do anything for just money, she will only do what is BEST for you and your hair-she will not allow you to make the wrong decision for your head/hair. I never used to really enjoy going to the hairdressers, probably for fear of walking out of the salon unsatisfied. Early 2010, I kept walking past Tony G's salon looking at a picture in the window of a cool hair style I thought might work for me. I decided to go in and ask whether she thought it would suit me and referring to the picture, Tony spoke honestly about how it would work really well with my hair type etc. Although it is more expensive than I can really afford, (around £50, so average price actually) I decided it was time to try something new and fresh. I went with my sister and we struck up a rapport with Tony straight away and felt we could trust her. It was the best haircut I ever had, and felt so 'me' , suiting my lifestyle as well as my character. She just knows! Tony took 'before and after' photos of us both and we were so amazed at her work we felt like celebrating! I;ve been back as often as I can afford and wouldnt want to go anywhere else now. I recently had a private view for my exhibition locally and Tony styled my hair for it, a vintage-style, heavily pinned around the back with loose bits on the side curled , it was so stylish and suited my dress perfectly. Hiiya, I went to Toni for the first time some 2 yrs ago. She was recommended by a friend and as I was desperate for a change i gave it a go. i had years of highlighted blonde hair, and my hair was dry, weak and the colour was going to bleach blonde.Toni did her miracle and managed to fix the colour, giving it the same shade as my natural dark ash blonde and convinced me to grow my hair long. l always wanted to grow it long, but every time the hair is of a certain length (up to my shoulders) I get a lot of split ends!! Its like a decease and despite my dream of long hair, I was never able to grow it..Toni is fantastic, she looks after your hair with special care! She cuts my hair in a way that I dont need to go back every 6 weeks as my most hairdressers recommend, but every 2-3months! no split ends, just a healthy long hair! I have recommended Toni to most of my friends and they are also regulars now. Needless to say that I live an hour away from Toni salon in Chiswick (I live in Maida Vale) but its worth the journey!! Tony G is a true professional with a wealth of experience in hairdressing. I have visited hairdressers all over Chelsea, South Ken and Chiswick in pursuit of someone who actually knew what they were doing and it was actually by sheer LUCK I came across Tony G. She has restored my hair to its youthful vibrancy and her cut and blow out will seriously take some beating! I would not consider going anywhere else for my or my childrens hair. The salon is non-pretentious and warm. Always welcomed by Tony's charm and professional service. Please give this very capable young lady a visit. You will never look back! After years of not being happy with my hair cut and trying many different hairstylists including well known high street salons I was recommended to Tony G by a friend because I was told she was a hair miracle worker . I am a sceptical person but thought I'd give Tony a try, and WOW, I was not disappointed. Tony listened carefully to me, and with her sharp eye she knew exactly what was wrong about my hair and what would suit me best. I can honestly say that I stepped out of the salon with a new head of hair. When Tony told me that she didn't want to see me for at least 3 months I was doubtful because I have always visited the hairdresser every 8 weeks or so. However, my hair grew beautifully and it was four months before I made the journey from Staffordshire where I live to Chiswick. I came across Tony by complete luck. I was walking past her salon in 2010 when she ran out, stopped me and told me about her revolutionary dry cutting technique. I was in a desperate situation after years of poor cutting and over dying by a series of different hairdressers all over the UK, and with only 5 months before my wedding. After reading all of the reviews I booked myself in and had my first cut with Tony today. A very sweet young lady indeed who treated me with great respect and hospitality. For the first time in my life a hairdresser that acted like one and didn't leave me to make all the decisions. She is convinced that she can sort out my frizzy dry barnet and today she cut me a shortish bob respecting my curls whilst other hairdressers have pulled them out to straight flatness. I feel cute and sexy and normal. She has given me hair that is an every day hair and very easy to look after. She did a dry cut and it all felt very professional. When I first met Tony, I had extremely damaged, thin, brittle blonde hair. Over the past 3 years, she has transformed my hair into a healthy, shiny, natural looking crowning glory. In the past, other hairdressers have unrelentingly continued to bleach my hair into oblivion, despite the devastating effect it was having. Having lived in London for five years, dragging myself from one horrific salon experience to another, I stumbled upon these reviews and leapt at the chance to meet 'The Hair Doctor' what a miracle worker! I remember cowering in the chairs of other hair salons and seeing the faces of the disgruntled hairdressers attempt to tame and revive my very fine, frizzy and dry hair but to no avail. Tony, on the other hand, made me feel at ease and relaxed from the start. She is honest and perceptive and understanding. The dry cut is amazing, and I don't know why other places don't do this it makes so much sense! I have been going to get my hair done by Tony G for years. My mom initially introduced me to her while Tony was still working in Bulgaria. I have fine hair that I wear quite short. So far, I have not found another hairdresser who can cut it well. Tony is the only one who cuts it perfectly and gives it a shape that looks good as it grows out. I live in Warwickshire and have decided that it is simply not worth trying to get my hair cut anywhere else. So I plan special trips to London just to visit Tony. Every time my mom flies to London from Bulgaria to visit me, she also visits Tony for a haircut. Gentlemen know how hard to find a decent hairdresser in London. you may find a dozen of 15-minutes hairdressers and pay more than 10 pounds , also hang around with your undescribed haircut till it grows up again. That is why I have always been selective when it comes to have a haircut and finally came across a decent gentlemen hairdresser as well as ladies in the town. I cannot praise enough Tony and her salon. Since I found her, I have now been know travelling to London from Market Harborough every few months taking my kids with me. Tony is a true professional and what she does she does it really well. My hair looks live and fresh and everybody notices when I've had a hear cut. I love the dry cut as it does not take long and you do not need to have a blow dry, which for a casual cut I find unnecessary. Why do all other salons insist on having cut and dry, it beyond me. It is fantastic that she does kids hair cut so well and it does not cost and arm and a leg. It is worth the 1 hour travel as I am not able to find such quality for such excellent price. I am happy to thoroughly recommend Tony G to anyone, whatever age, sex, state of hair or phobia they may have about hairdressers. Tony loves cutting hair and it shows in her demeanor when you are with her. She is always welcoming and cheerful and you don't have to talk if you don't want to! Tony has a speciality she cuts your hair DRY. This seemed strange to me on my first visit after years (more than I care to remember) of having my hair washed first before any cutting took place. However, the results are splendid. My hair was unruly and difficult to manage before I decided to give Tony a try, over a year ago. It's such a shame that someone should write a bad review ever about this salon as I know for a fact that it must just be a bad customer not a bad service , iv been with Toni for 3 years and never once has she or her assistant not made me come away feeling great , she cuts hair in a special way that makes it grow longer and thicker and IT WORKS!! They make u feel at home and really listen to what you want , unlike these ' High street ' salons that do as they wish and cut 5 inches of when you ask for 2 , I highly recommend her!!!! Not happy at all with this hairdresser. She spent all of five minuets cutting my hair and grossly overcharged me. In fact all I had was a trim, it was certainly not restyled. I had my own colour which she charges £30 for putting it on, her assistant does this. Her assistant also blow dried my hair. It is outrageous that she should charge an extra £55 on top £85 in total. I was expecting to pay £50. Her rates are not what you expect (especially for a stand that is in a backwater of Chiswick, not on the High Rd) so be sure to get the correct rate from her before you go ahead and good luck. I would give this Salon one star for a very nice assistant. read more

I dont refer to Tony as a Hairdresser, she is simply a hair doctor. I was caught in the cycle of highlighting my hair and after 10 years the damage was horrendous. On a recommendation I visited Tony and she convinced me to jump on the path to healthy gorgeous hair. I am now one year into the 'Tony Treatment' and friends and family compliment my now gorgeous shiny thick brunette locks. I have about another year to go until all the blond is gone, but Tony has made the process as painfree as possible and her dry end cuts are a MUST!
