I have also personally heard from others who described their consultations with the surgeon as intimidating and said they felt judged during the process. A consultation should be an opportunity for a patient to feel comfortable, respected, and informed--not intimidated or made to feel unwelcome. Based on my experiences, I would not recommend this practice and will be taking my business elsewhere.

I am not sure exactly what was happening but at one point I heard something that sounded like someone opening up a garbage bag. It was not a relaxing experience. I was surprised the extractions were done manually. At home my esthetician uses a machine that is less invasive. There was 1 cleanse, 1 mask, and, at most, a 1 minute face massage to incorporate products into my skin. While letting the mask dry there was a foot massage, but it was very uneven. The esthetician spend 3-4 minutes on one foot and maybe 1 minute for the other. The cost was not worth the experience. I would return for the massage only.

I couldn't find the address for the business, so I called Val and she answered right away. I explained to her my situation, and she was in the car on her way to me before I could finish telling her what was going on. She taught me how to drop my location in WhatsApp and she came to scoop me up in no time. I was a little rattled, but Val very quickly put me at ease and helped me to settle in for some luxurious skin care treatment. After a week of sun and salt and sea, my skin was in need of some TLC before I hopped my flight that evening to head back home. She took a quick look at my skin, figured out exactly what I needed, customized my treatment, and went to work. The products felt and smelled amazing. I could feel them working in real time. Like every good esthetician, she has an arsenal of Skin Script products that she used to help my skin achieve it's optimal hydration and glow. Now I've got pretty good skin, but when I hopped up off that table, I couldn't believe how healthy and hydrated it looked. Wow! The spa is painted a tranquil shade of green, So look for that light green building. But if you get lost, don't panic. Just give Val a call and she will come and get you... Just like she did me. Val is not only incredible that what she does, but she is also one of the kindest people I've ever met on the island... And that's saying something because there are some really kind people here. Her spa is beautiful and tranquil. Everything is sterile and conspicuously clean. Her services are top notch and competitively priced. And the results were even better than I expected. This was single-handedly the best facial treatment I have ever received. Do yourself a favor and make skincare treatments at Ocean Pearl Wellness Spa a part of your itinerary when you're visiting Puerto Rico. You deserve it, and your skin will thank you.
