There were several factors I was prepared to spend money on for our wedding: my dress, the food, the photographer, and the DJ. I'm a firm believer you get what you pay for, and I can honestly say this company is completely worth every penny. My husband wasn't entirely convinced that I had made the right choice booking this DJ until he talked to Frankie & saw her in action. He was blown away! If you're shying away because of the price, DON'T. BTA does so much more than play music; they create an indescribable atmosphere that will insure every guest from your 70 year old grandma to your 7 year old cousin has the time of their lives. Before the wedding, Frankie took the time to talk to us in-depth regarding not only our music choices, but how we wanted the evening to unfold. She found every song we picked, guided us when we had questions, and basically made the day "ours" in every sense of the word. Our ceremony & reception were so professional, and more importantly, they represented our fun-loving nature. The pace of the evening was *perfect*. Frankie kept our guests entertained with up-beat games, engaging dialogue, and perfectly timed dance sets. So many people approached us and told us they've never been to a more fun wedding! And I may be biased, but I had an absolute blast. Definitely the best wedding EVAR, and it was mainly due to our incredible DJ, Frankie at BTA Entertainment.

Most unprofessional DJ I have EVER had to work with. The ONLY thing he cares about is HIS bottom…read moreline. He does not care about the event, the parties involved, or how successful anything he does is. His number one question, is when will he get paid and how will he get paid. Told me that he personally would be my MC for the event, and instead sent a teenager that showed up late to my event and kept wanting to end early.. I would never recommend this "business" to anyone. So unprofessional in every possible aspect. He is great on the mic, but now that I know his true personality, it's all fake.

The entire dance floor was filled. He played a great mix of music from the classics to top 40, fast to slow and everything in between. Never once did I feel like Chuck was talking too much, ending songs early or letting the dance floor empty. He was great to work with, listen to all our requests, checked in during the course of the night and was really open to any suggestions we had about the way the music for the ceremony and the set up of the wedding should be. It was a fantastic experience on all fronts. People have been raving about the music since the wedding ended. My husband and I don't live in NC so we were basically planning a destination wedding from MA, which Chuck made very easy. He was super flexible and made time for us whenever we were in the area. We relied heavily on email but Chuck was extremely responsive. Everything turned out perfect!

I searched for many, found several good candidates, interviewed a few, and chose Steve. I did not go wrong. Steve was reasonably priced but incredibly did so much more...He went "above and beyond". Very personable and knowledgeable, he was also very accessible and would come with timely suggestions. The fact that he was also able to provide photography/video solutions was a bonus. His sensitivity and sense of humor really added to the reception and ceremony. And he provided comfort and assurance that we had a "backup" should we have an electrical outage.. The only small criticism I can think of is..well two. 1) He might consider a different color tent [it was blue] so as to not conflict w/ overall décor of the event..and 2) Be very careful and thorough when presenting song selections. We had one song minor hiccup. But the time leading up to and the actual event overall was superb.. I would definitely recommend Steve and Crystal Sound and Magic

He nailed the playlists for all events of the wedding (ceremony/cocktail hour/ dinner/ reception). the day of my wedding Steve and his wife Crystal went above and beyond to make sure we really enjoyed the best day of our lives. He set up his rig on the beach, where our ceremony was held. Then he moved his equipment up many many stairs to make sure we could have music and mics for speeches during our dinner. He continued to exceed my expectations by setting up a killer light show on the beach. His wife Crystal was also exceedingly helpful. when she wasnt helping the DJ set up, she was first to ask how she could be of any help. She Stepped in during dinner and helped bus all the tables, and even assisted with the breakdown of the dinner room. when the party got late and our hired bartender was relieved for the night, Crystal even stepped in as bartender while my Wife and entire wedding party continued to celebrate into the late evening. Never once did they ask what time they could pack up. they stayed all day and night without any extra fees. Everything went perfectly, they were fun to work with, and i would hire them again!! highly recommend Crystal Sound and Magic DJ services.
