I received my food package on its side spilling out of the container, not because of the delivery driver, but because it was placed sideways and the bag was sealed. I also received bread and a very large side of ranch dressing. No salad and no extra sauce. I called to get it corrected, but the host said the manager was too busy in the kitchen and would call me back sometime and then suggested I come pick up what was left out at another time. Why would I want salad and marinara another day of the week. Also it was for delivery not pick up. Very disappointed in the Dublin location this time and about 4 months ago when we picked up our pizza and garlic bread on time and it was already cold. Tommy's in Dublin is trying really hard to put themselves out of business. On a Saturday night in football season, they AGAIN, were only offering pizza and subs for pick-up and delivery. Their pizza shop in Dublin is the best because it has the crispy cracker crust the shop on W Lane Av and the Upper Arlington shop seem to have veered away from. I was warned about the customer service in this store (Arlington) but I didn't have a problem. Except for OSU location you need to check when dining room is open. Dublin"s dine-in was blocked off. I couldn't even use their restroom. UA location has scaled back their dine-in hours also. I have been going to Tommy's for over 50 years. On a good day you can't beat their pizza. I've been a Tommy's pizza fan for a LOOOOONNG time. Something has changed I was hopeful it was just a random bad night last time I had it but I gave it another try this evening. Crust is not the same. Used to be crisp cracker crust. (not just the edge pieces) And it seems like there is some kind of oil used to bake it? Leaves a coating in your mouth. Although I am out of state I had a longtime friend from Columbus OH rave and rave about Tommy's pizza. Today my wife and I found ourselves driving north from Lexington KY through Columbus at dinner time. We were driving withing 5 miles of Tommy's Dublin location on the interstate, so we had to stop for dinner. Contrary to some of the reviews (for the campus store I think) our server was timely, very efficient and courteous. We had our drinks and a salad within 4 or 5 minutes. The restaurant was moderately full and scrupulously clean. No problems there. When our pizza arrived, in about 14 to 16 minutes it was brimming with great aromas. Being a pizza snob, I disassembled a slice to get a handle on the ingredients before I sampled them together for harmony. Here are my observations: We all know about Tommy's layered pseudo cracker crust. Crispy at the edges and more tender as one goes towards inward slices. Surprisingly it got crispier as it cooled! The star was the pepperoni. I was able to recognize it, as I once drove over 250 miles R/T to score a case of it. It is one of the most respected pepperoni's for flavor profile by elite operators and reasonably hard to obtain. Trust me, Tommy's is using one of the best, if not THE best pepperoni available. I can't prove it, but my taste buds know with a high probability. The sauce was balanced and bright. The mushrooms were fresh and copious. Now for he cheese. There was loads of glorious cheese. I personally think it is a blend of 3 cheeses due to the melt and the color. It was very nuanced and balanced on its own. I am going to try to investigate a possible blend in the future. Now when you put this masterpiece together, it is near perfection for this style of pizza. Each bite, balanced and with a bit of a kick depending on how much pepperoni was in the bite. I would not overload this style with 4 or 5 heavy, dense and watery toppings. I think you will throw off the balance. Stick with the cheese and pepperoni and add ONE other topping if you must. You will not be disappointed. I will be back, and next time I will order something larger, or perhaps two pies, so I can take one home. read more

The other day I had a craving for an Italian sub. A good one, not from Subway or Jimmy Johns or whatever. And I realized while running errands that there was a Tommy's nearby. The last time I had Tommy's was, jeez, almost 30 years ago, at the one near campus. It was good, if memory serves, but so much has happened since then that I wasn't sure what to expect here. Plus, even though I knew where it was it was still hard to find, tucked back into a corner of, well, Tommy's Plaza. It's not much to look at, inside or out. The menu is fairly basic- pizza, subs, Italian dinners. I was a little skeptical until the food came out. Then- wow. Exactly what I had hoped for. I got the basic Italian sub. Plus, wanting to try the pizza I remembered, a mini pepperoni (thinking it would be pretty small.) Either is a good lunch, so I had plenty of leftovers. The pizza was piping hot, and I was jonesing, so I started with the sub. A great rendition of a classic: good, hearty bread, crispy outside and soft inside. Good meats, decent veggies, and dressing dripping off but still not making things mushy. Just what I wanted. The pizza was bigger than I expected, and another great version of a classic. Thin crispy crust, greasy but not overly so, good cheese and sauce, great pepperoni (and plenty of slices.) I had the leftovers cold later and they were still great. They have lots of other toppings, including all the usual suspects but also shrimp and oysters. Service was good- friendly, efficient. Prices- I think I paid $14, which is pretty darn good for the quantity and quality. It's not fancy, but it has been around awhile because they know what they are doing. read more

Additionally, their quality is consistent. I have never received an over(or under) cooked pizza. In regard to service and the environment, the service is great and the restaurant is nothing fancy. I have always loved Tommy's pizza, and have lived in Columbus for 50 years. My folks were in town last night so we went there for a blast from the past. It was not especially busy and our server was horrible. First she came and took our drink orders and took way to long to come back. Then when the pizza came my pops likes to put extra parmesan on his, I was able to catch here before she ran away and ask for some. Again way to long when bye, I saw her at the front desk doing something, obviously forgot, so I went up and got it. Our drink were empty somewhere along the way, I had to speak up to get her attention as she finally walked by. Way to long went bye again, I saw here at the front desk doing something so I went up and asked. Her response "I have better things to do" WHAT!!!! My folks were with me so I let it slide. Then she brings the check, again on the slow side. I was coming back from the rest room and she feels it necessary to say very sarcastically and with that kid attitude "Sorry for your horrible service" I went back to the table and asked the guy clearing the table for a manager. As it turned out he was the manager so I expressed by displeasure about her comments. He was very dismissive and said he would handle it, as server girl kept looking at me and giving me the evil eye. You would think he would have at least given out a coupon for a free pizza or something. He was lucky my folks were there otherwise I would have really expressed by displeasure. Tommy's is different. It's not fancy, it's greasy and it does has plenty of cheese. It's cut into squares but it's definitely a little chewy and buttery. They don't skimp on toppings, either. I had high hopes for this delivery. I ordered the cheese balls with a side of bbq sauce (slight up charge for the sauce) and a small pepperoni pizza. I first started to unravel the Saran from the cup of bbq sauce and found 2/3 of a black hard shelled small bug in between the Saran and the outside of the lid. This spot is a nice welcoming restaurant that gives you old school vibes. As soon as you walk in you are met with the overwhelmingly scrumptious smell of fresh pies. The pizza was burnt unable to be eaten while the sub had a soggy bottom bun. When I called them to see if a refund or credit was an option, they told me the delivery service was responsible. What? They were the ones preparing the food! At the Lane Ave location, they refunded a delivery that was someone else's order and were very accommodating by giving us a refund. Fantastic pizza! We've only done carryout and service was quick and friendly. Their crust is crispy on the outside and airy, but chewy inside. The veggie pizza had lots of toppings that were fresh. We are new to the area and one night last week we were looking for our new favorite pizza place. We tried Tommy's, and it was a pretty disappointing experience. Unfortunately, the wrong pizza was delivered to us. When I called Tommy's I was told it wasn't their problem it was Door Dash's problem and there was nothing they would do. Normally I would've eaten the pizza anyway, but it was pepperoni pizza and I'm a vegetarian. I will admit my husband and sons who are not vegetarian liked the pizza, but it was disappointing that they gave the wrong pizza to door dash and then refused to correct their mistake. The receipt attached to the pizza box had the correct order on it, they simply put the wrong pizza with it. I'm guessing someone else probably wasn't thrilled with the green pepper pizza they got instead of their pepperoni. read more

Recently, the quality has gone down, the service stinks and it's rarely right. Tonight, we ordered a pizza to be picked up at 9:45. When I arrived at 9:45, they were just putting it into the oven.
