A great place to take the kids, there's a large play area with slides,swings,cilmbing frames etc…read more and then a smaller one which caters just for toddlers with small sit on toys , a sand pit and safety swings.The whole of the play area is surrounded by railings as the park is popular with dog walkers and they are not allowed in the childrens area. As well as the play areas there are 2 tennis courts and a huge grass area for football. It's a nice place if you just want to sit in the sun (there are a couple of seated shelters if it rains)and take a picnic and there is a small shop across the road .The road now has speed bumps along it but it is quite a busy road as opposite the park is one of Chorleys bigger car parks( handy) so take care when crossing.The park is well maintained and clean.

this is a nice play area with in easy reach of the town centre…read more it offers 2 seperate play areas for younger and older children. they also have tennis courts and lots of open space. they have recently updated some of the play equiptment which is encourageing to see. there is town centre parking not far from the recreation ground and a shop over the road for those much needed refreshments. i have seen it get very busy in the summer holidays
