Went today for the first time. I'm a first time mom to adjust. Turned one year old with eight teeth. The office right when you walk in is so inviting and enjoyable for kids. They have interactive game on the floor so if your child is a mover and groove it'll keep them occupied. From the front desk staff to the nurses to even Dr. Daisy everybody was phenomenal. You can imagine taking a one year-old to the dentist how not calming she was. But the staff was truly phenomenal with handling my daughter, crying, and trying to get out of the chair. Being a first time, mom, they also taught me some dos and some donts. I'm super happy that they came highly refer referred from several people that I know and trust. I can't say enough good things about this practice and the incredible humans who work here. We typically see Dr. Daisy - and the patience of this woman...seriously a saint. She's brilliant and professional but also just has the warmest personality. My kids really respond to her. The front desk staff to the hygienists - all so down to earth and kind. Everyone seems to really enjoy their job. But huge should out to Coral (hygienist). She is genuinely loving and SO patient - she really seems to care about the kids AND the parents. My kids are very anxious, but she takes her time with them, asks them questions, lets them express themselves and she acknowledges their feelings. Worst pediatric dentist ever! What a money hungry, lying thief!! My 3 year olds tiny cavity, which he had told me needed a filling, turned out to be a painful root canal!! The appointment was scheduled as a filling, but after he started drilling, he told me she needed a root canal! I was a cash paying customer, so the amount I was quoted originally, jumped from $200 to just under $900!! I was shocked, and they told me the new cost after they had already drilled a hole in my daughters tooth!!! Best part is, after I asked him why we jumped from a filling to a root canal, he told me I was welcome to take my daughter to another dentist for a second opinion! After he had drilled a hole in her tooth and she was screaming in pain and from fear!! How disgustingly unsympathetic of him! He knew he had trapped me and I had no choice but to let him continue!! She had such a horrible, traumatic, and painful experience!!! She was crying and screaming the whole time! I was asked to leave the room...which is ridiculous!! I couldn't even stay in the room to comfort my child! But I guess Dr. Haik makes a business out of ripping off his cash paying customers, instead of at least giving them a tiny break!! Please be careful with this office. I was told I was required to provide my SSN over the phone in order to book an appointment. I was told that if I refused to give them my SSN I would be charged as an uninsured cash patient, regardless of the fact I have preferred provider insurance coverage. From Consumer Reports: Article: What to do if your doctor asks for your social security number https://www.consumerreports.org/cro/news/2015/03/what-to-do-if-your-doctor-asks-for-your-social-security-number/index.htm It's absolutely unnecessary for them to have your SSN (with very few exceptions, like if you're on Medicare or Medicaid). Many years ago the Insurance providers moved to assigning Member ID numbers because of the rise of identify theft and the problems associated with too many people having access to your SSN. I've never been to this office before. I've no idea if the very polite receptionist demanding my SSN is writing my personal information on a note so she can sell it later. I just know there's no ethical, professional, or financial reason they need this information so I'm moving on to find a different dentist for my child. If this is your experience, please file a complaint with your insurance provider. Inform them an in-network provider is threatening to charge insured patients more than the negotiated rates unless the office gets Social Security Numbers. I was referred here by a coworker. I understand why - So far, this has been a dream come true for a parent like me! I have 2 children, 3.5 & 5 years old. February were their 1st dental visits ever. We scheduled about 6weeks out from when I called as he books up fast (they even called me for a sooner appt but I was working, got the voicemail & called back 15mins after missing them & it was booked - he's that good!). I see the other reviews, so I can only speak to our visits. They greeted us & after submitting paperwork, insurance & ID we went straight back with little to no wait both times. The entry area & waiting room are setup with the children in mind - Tiki type theme, play car, mounted tablets w/angry birds set up, wall murals, Disney Pixar movies on & music throughout the office. The individual rooms have a flat screen mounted over the dental chair so that children can pick from 1 of 3 current movies to watch when reclined for work - love! Janice was great. She had a little microphone attached to her that allowed her to communicate within the office without leaving the room. She introduced each tool to my kids before using them. When they sense discomfort, they pause to build rapport again w/the child which is important to me because I want a healthy relationship for my kids with their healthcare - not one based on fear of the unknown or painful. She lets them pick flavors & told us about her family & pets. We did exams, cleaning, flossing, and X-rays. Both children had a cavity & 1 needs a minor root canal. We will do laughing gas for that one. Dr Haik himself was wonderful with my kids, very charismatic & had a thoughtful answer for everything; my 3yo was scared of his face mask so he kept it off a bit & then pretended to sneeze telling her that is why he needs to put it on so he didn't get boogers on her which made her laugh & she was fine! Loved how they talk to and educate the kids. They also introduced us to who we will be seeing when we come back & they review all billing information for current & future appointments. Sent them home w/a new toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, stickers & a small toy. Excellent bedside manner! We have Aetna btw. They also put us on the call list for if anyone cancels. Praying our next appts go as well! ***UPDATE*** We have now been back twice, once with each child. My 3.5yr old had her root canal. The doctor & staff did everything right. It was very rough in the beginning because, well it's a 3yr old getting a root canal. She had laughing gas to take the edge off of some of the anxiety, then novicane. When all was said and done she was fine. My 5yr old had 2 fillings today. She smiled & laughed her way through the entire thing without so much as a wince. read more

Worst experience I've had with a receptionist staff ever not to mention our first visit turned into a 2 1/2 hour ordeal because of problems with their X-ray machine..If I could give negative stars I would.... When I missed a recent appointment (I was at the doctors for strep throat), when I called to make a new appointment the receptionist continued to state that it was unlikely to get in anytime soon and went on to tell me. "No, can't do anything in November, forget about December so probably something after the new year...."This after explaining how my son really needed to be seen per his orthodontist for two canine extractions before his braces are removed by the end of November... She put some other woman (Beverly)on the phone just to once again not be able to assist me and went on to tell me that I owed $50 for a missed appointment and wouldn't go any further until that was paid! What??!!! Sorry.. He may be a popular local dentist however, his front desk staff was unhelpful, rude and so money focused that they couldn't get beyond the $50 missed appointment fee to help a 9 year old. Went on to call my orthodontist and spoke to him advising him of our experience and not to refer anyone to this office in the future. He suggested I call another dentist he also works with which I did... They were wonderful. From the moment I called they were more than accommodating and they made time to fit my son in even being a brand new patient. Sad how front desk personnel can create a horrible outcome for an otherwise decent doctor (which at this point is even questionable)..,My time is JUST AS VALUABLE and perhaps after spending 2 1/2 hours in an office for 2 routine pediatric cleanings, I should have billed this office for the hour of work I missed which is far more than $50!!!!!!!! I will make it my mission to tell anyone and everyone about this experience to help others avoid what I went through....I understand it's a business and money needs to be made, but they have put aside what really comes first which is the customer. For me they are the best dental practice for kids in Wellington by far. I like the fact that he allows parents in the room with their children. My son has been going since he was 2 and Dr. Haik always has a friendly smile and more importantly patience with my son who was terrified his first few visits. I was on the schedule for 6 month with regular visit for my two children. I have two ins, I understand Dr. Hike do not bill secondary so I am ok with it. I call the office today at 10:29 am to make sure proper ins was on file. Once we discover they did not have, I proceeded by giving shayla the front desk staff my info, she then said I need your SS, I told her, all you need is my id not SS. Beverly the biller said if I cannot give my SS, my children will not be seen, she went on to say, how do I expect them to get pay? how do they know that I have active ins? I then question? Do you not verify the pt ins before their appt? She went on to say I can be self pay if I refuse to give the SS. Since I needed my kids to be seen, I oblige. After that conversation I told her this apt will be my last with dr. Hike, she said what ever. At 11am I call the ins file a complaint, and had them call the office to confirm my benefits that cover 100%. I arrive to the appt to be told by Tara and Beverly that per Dr. Hike, since I plan on switching provider, he will not waste his time to see my children. I then told Tara that I will have my dentist request my medical record, per her whether or not I pick them up or they send it to the new provider it's $20.00. Per the ins rule, if a patient have another provide request the record, then theirs no charge. I was charge $20 per child for records they will sent electronically. I called the ins again at 4pm and explain, and I was told to stop the payment process, because I was not suppose to be charge. What piss me off is the fact that I took 4 hours off from work, took the children out of school, drove 1 hour to the office, then to leave with out the kids getting their teeth clean. Dr. Hike is a great doctor; however, the two morons Tara and Beverly need proper training or he will lose a lot of patient. I was previously told that Tara and Beverly were nasty, and have racist mind, I never believed it until today. I refers 5 patients to him, and all have switch. read more

I have been taking my daughters to Dr. Haik for 3 years. He is the most patient, caring and sweet dentist I have ever met. My older daughter is a nervous patient and Dr. Haik and his awesome staff always go above and beyond to make sure she is comfortable and truly take their time with her. Office is impeccably clean, staff is warm and professional and treat you like family. My daughter needed a cavity filled and Dr. Haik personally called the next day to see how she was feeling. My family and I LOVE Dr. Haik! My children have been his patients for almost 7 years. Upon moving to this area we had a horrible experience with another local pediatric dentist. Dr. Haik understood this and took extra patience and care with my children to help them overcome their fears. He has a very kind and gentle demeanor with a dash of humor that my kids love. He treats my kids like his own. Several years ago my son had a horrible skateboard accident requiring a trip to the ER. We learned the injuries were all dental and Dr. Haik came into his office after hours and spent over 3 hours working on my son. He was at his office until after 11 PM. He wasn't there for the money. He was there because he genuinely cared about my son. We have watched his practice grow and have many friends who see him as well. This dentist took great care of my 10 year old who needed a root canal with a crown and 5 cavities. Other dentists said that she was too nervous and wouldn't treat her without anesthesia. Dr. Haik was very relaxed and professional and did a fabulous job. Dr. Haik is perfect for pediatric dentistry. We drove 40 minutes to see him because he and his staff are the BEST!! read more

I cannot recommend Dr. Haik and his office staff ENOUGH! We had a terrible cavity filling experience at another local pediatric dentist and I was very hesitant to find a new place. Sadly, time passed and passed and by the time I did end up taking my son (6 yo) he had a very bad cavity and was in a lot of pain. As brand new patients, Dr. Haik's office fit us in within 2 HOURS (I couldn't believe it!). They ALL were super kind and really tailored their practice and attitude towards children. Dr. Haik recommended a baby root canal and we were to come back in January (2 months later) but put us on the cancellation list. We were called 3 times in 2 weeks but could never make the appointments. Last week, my son woke up with a swollen cheek and a lot of pain so we called the dentist and left a message 40 minutes before they opened. When they heard my message she actually called me back within 5 minutes! She didn't even wait until their opening time. They call him an antibiotic right away and got an an appt for the very next day. He ended up needing to get the tooth extracted and Dr. Haik and his assistant were A MAZ ING! If i could have kissed him I would have! lol! He was SO SO very patient with my nervous and agitated son. He never once made me feel like my child was frustrating him or preventing him from doing his job. He never once said "well I may not be able to finish". He did 2 cavities AND an extraction. The extraction itself took maybe 30 seconds. He then called us within 2 hours to see how he was feeling, called us 2 days later on a Sunday (!!) to see how he was doing, and his receptionist called on Monday to see how he was doing! Finding this office makes me want to cry in relief and I cannot cannot cannot tell you enough how great they are!!! We are Lifers for sure! haha read more
