Before coming to the store, I properly initiated the return through the official Walmart app, exactly as instructed. The app generated a valid return barcode and clearly stated that I could return the items in-store at the customer service desk, with a return deadline of February 14. This was shown directly in the Walmart application. I brought all items in full, along with the valid barcode, and presented everything to the customer service desk. Despite this, the store manager refused the return, repeatedly claiming that the return window had already expired -- which was factually incorrect. I multiple times showed her the barcode and the Walmart app instructions, clearly indicating that the return was still valid and within the allowed timeframe. Her response was extremely unprofessional. She stated that she "doesn't care about the Walmart app" and continued, in a rude and dismissive manner, to repeat that she would not process the return. This is unacceptable. The Walmart app is Walmart's own system, and customers should not be punished because a store employee refuses to follow it. The behavior I experienced was hostile, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. At some point, it became clear that continuing the discussion was pointless. I was not dealing with reasonable customer service, so I was forced to leave without resolving an issue that was entirely Walmart's responsibility. This experience represents a serious failure in customer service, a refusal to follow Walmart's own policies, and a complete lack of basic respect toward customers. I do not recommend this location unless Walmart addresses the behavior and training of its management staff.
