They always go beyond expectations to meet your needs, I feel like I'm talking to a friend when speaking to them too! My parents were insured with them since before my brother, then I were born. I've been with them since I got my first car, I wouldn't trust my insurance needs to anyone else!!! * I think EVERYONE should do theirselves a favor and at least do their research and check State Farm out!

Recently I discovered the saying is true, "There are worse things in life than death. Have you ever…read morespent an hour on the phone with an insurance agent?" I spent a few hours in total trying to resolve a claim where State Farm was attempting to put used parts from a similar vehicle on our car. The body shop doing the repairs contacted us about the attempt due to the damage that would need to be done to the part before installing it on our vehicle. I couldn't believe that my insurance company would even attempt this, so I immediately contacted my insurance agent. I never heard from Elizabeth, only a representative from her office. Next, State Farm attempted to use "after-market" parts instead of OEM parts from the manufacturer. Again, when I contacted my insurance agent, I spoke with a representative, not my agent, and asked if I could request OEM parts that come with a warranty and are made to the manufacturer's specifications. I was told that yes, we could, but that I needed to contact the claims department directly (which made me think why do I have an insurance representative if I have to do all the work), so I did, and was told by the claims department representative that a "supplemental" check would be sent to the body shop. After weeks of back and forth and the continued "we are working on it," the body shop was never paid for the difference between the "after-market parts" and the "OEM" parts from the manufacturer. I share this with you to be aware that the coverage you think you have is not necessarily what you actually do have. Insurance companies cut corners like many businesses these days. Without posts like this, you might never know what's under that fresh coat of paint. My wife and I chose State Farm Insurance because of the "local agent support". I was sent a denial letter from State Farm's claim department showing what they agreed to pay versus what the body shop had submitted for payment. Here is the lesson we learned the hard way. Unless specifically stipulated in your insurance coverage, be aware that when your vehicle goes in for repairs, the insurance company has the liberty to use a used part from a vehicle of the same year as your insured vehicle or an "after-market" part made from substandard materials with no warranty or made to manufacturer specifications. Unfortunately, we learned this lesson the hard way, and the body shop was out $950.00 in parts, not labor, for trying to protect our investment, as State Farm only pays what their claims department decides to pay, not what is in the customer's best interest. I am just thankful we used a body shop that was more concerned about our interests than my insurance company should have been.

In the end, it appears there was some miscommunication regarding the renewal process, and I appreciate the effort they made to work with me and get everything corrected. Today I spent several hours changing and combining my insurance with Daryl My Insurance Guy! He not…read moreonly helped me by combining my home and auto insurance, but added an earthquake and an umbrella policy because of the discounts it provided. When I switched my auto from Geico (Renewing at $600/mo - with new young driver) to Farmers with Daryl, he was able to provide me more coverage and peace of mine for minimal increase. It was a no brainer - especially being with Farmers and not a discount company hoping they would pay. With many years in the personal injury space, Daryl helped me understand more of how my auto coverage works to protect me from those who are looking for the cheapest insurance payment and not all full coverage is not created equal. As Daryl shared with me, "Insurance is there for when it messes up your life, not your day." And I can tell you after really learning from Daryl how and why insurance is important, I'm happy and confident I worked with him and his team because of the value and insight he brings to the conversation, his level of care and attention and not willing to cut corners. Now as a mom of two and business owner of Access to Justice - a legal document assistant (Trust, legal filings, etc.), I now have a lot of peace of mind when I'm away from my house or on the road. I'm confident that is something where to happen-insurance related or not, I can reach out to Daryl and his team for any type of assistance. While we worked, I learned a lot about him. He is an honest and honorable man - something you don't see too often anymore. Not only did he help me with my insurance - he gave me a lot of tips for running my social media, how to collaborate with other business owners to increase awareness of my business and build stronger client relationships. Daryl Dean Santos you're a class act! Definitely my go-to recommendation for any home, auto, life, and business insurance needs. I recommend you to parents, homeowners, and business owner for insurance just for your honesty and being an honorable man. Your emails share your company's core values: Trust, Service, and Development at the bottom of your signature and you - and I'm sure your team - definitely display those. You taught me that there are great men out there. I'm just looking in the wrong places. Daryl and his wife just had twins so let's congratulate them, ask god for peace, love, patience, and health for their family. Amen.

I cancelled my insurance, headed elsewhere for service and people that answer their phones and don't rely on their answering machines to take messages. Once consulting the regional management they had the gall to have Ms Davalos contact me directly, the regional management obviously had little to no concern and passed the problem to her.
