I wanted a bouquet to let my friend know I was thinking of her since she was having medical issues. I let Chipper's (I can't remember who I spoke to on the phone) select the flowers. The flowers were going to be delivered the next day. Chipper's called me the next day to alert me that the flower arrangement was going to be delivered later that day. Then they called my friend to tell her the same thing. And they even called her to confirm she was home before making the delivery. Chipper's customer service is great!

Idk if he was just looking to make only money that day but customer experience was horrible. He was asking what I was looking for I said I'm leaning towards a Dutch marquise but know they're hard to come by so I wanted to see marquise in person on my finger to get an idea if I'd like it in real life. Brandon had already laid out some marquise for me beforehand so Sean showed be them again and then talked AT me and explained what I wanted was an elongated hex... thank you, thats great to know although both are correct. He explained what cut and clarity were. Not something I was confused about but again, thanks. He pulled up some from his source and told us how much they were and it felt as if he was trying to make us leave or scare us away by mentioning the prices. Then he asked for timeline and my boyfriend didn't wanna say exactly what the timeline was in front of me and it's like a switch went off and he just wanted us out of his store. He was like okay well here's my card and lmk when you guys are ready. And then we just sat there in an awkward silence for a moment cause he dismissed us so fast we couldn't even process we were being kicked out lol. Anyway... I would not recommend coming here unless you can be perceived as being loaded, if you get what I'm saying. Horrible customer service from Sean. Brandon however, was great. bring gold here. don't bring silver or pearls. i brought a few items for analysis. first, a pearl…read morehad been very poorly set at another jeweler, leaving epoxy on the pearl and setting and the pearl was off center. the ken's jeweler associate said it was the "best way that the prior jeweler had thought it should go" and said i should just live with it. that was my first sign not to bring pearls here. second, they say they can clean jewelry. i brought an abalone silver ring and asked for cleaning. she said why don't you just use a cleaning cloth and did a light hand polish and handed it back. so i didn't request any further cleaning services. they don't have on-site silver smithing. they use the same bench smith as every other jeweler in Tacoma, which has associated higher prices for send out and they cant do a consult directly as a result. so you can't plan repairs or new work in silver with the jewelers doing the work or even get a quote on site. they might be ok for gold but for silver or pearls, don't go. they don't have any personal knowledge.

I recently…read morepurchased a brand new ring right before my anniversary and immediately brought it back to have it resized. The ring had never even been worn. When I picked it up after the resize, it had a large scratch on it that absolutely was not there when I brought it in. I brought this to their attention and had to return multiple times for them to attempt to fix their mistake. While they eventually removed the large scratch, the ring was returned with additional marks and was clearly not properly finished. When I asked if it could be buffed out further, another employee tried to redirect the conversation by suggesting I should have the rings soldered together, which had nothing to do with the issue. I made it clear that if I had caused the scratches myself that would be one thing, but the ring was brand new when it was left in their care. After finally taking the ring home out of frustration, I discovered polishing residue packed under the diamonds that actually turned my finger black. I had to clean it out myself with a toothpick and brush, which should never happen after a professional jewelry repair. Between the multiple trips, poor finishing work, and dismissive responses when I tried to address the problem, this experience has been incredibly frustrating. I will not be returning to this location and will be taking my jewelry to another jeweler in the future. I expected far better care and workmanship for a brand new ring.

They gave multiple dollar figures over the phone changing each before and after putting me on hold. When I went to pickup the rings they acted like they couldn't find both. Slammed the baggie that had the rings on the counter and then noticed that both were there. They did not handle my wife's rings with any sort of respect. They are disorganized and disrespectful, not a winning combo for handling jewelry. I should have known better than to take a chance on them. Highly recommend steering clear.
