While I dreamed of shooting with her, I was living in Colorado and her studio is in Philly so there was an easy excuse to not do it. Then the universe reminded me that there are some things that are just meant to happen and the next thing I knew, I had a session set up with her while I was attending a yoga retreat in New Orleans. I was lucky enough to get to spend a day chilling with her off and on before it actually came time to lose the clothes and get down to picture time, but honestly, I was comfortable within minutes and would have be ready to glue on my false lashes and get right to shooting. I had a most magical time romping around the house we were staying in, dancing to a soundtrack of guilty pleasures pop music and Cheyenne's enthusiastic hollers reminding me how babely I was looking from her side of the camera. When I received my gallery I was STUNNED. I looked freaking incredible, even the photos of poses that are not considered typically "flattering" (which is BS by the way, but if you follow her, you know that) and I was genuinely struggling to choose my selection of images because I loved them all. I let my husband make some selections, ordered some prints because everyone knows you must decorate your home with hot photos of your own booty, and went along with my life. Then a most unfortunate thing happened. A few girls I know that have also shot with Cheyenne shared their photos with me and I was immediately jealous. There were some beautiful poses I didn't do! There were so many outfit options I hadn't considered! It occurred to me - I needed to have another session and I needed it NOW. Luckily a work trip had me going to Philly just a few short months later and as timing would have it, she had a slot she could squeeze me in. If my session in NOLA was good, shooting with Cheyenne in her space in Philly was AMAZING. It was apparent that this was her creative home and she was totally in her element. It was an "I'm a model for a day" experience, complete with hair and makeup. She helped me narrow my selection of outfits from the ridiculous number of things I'd brought and let me dance around and be crazy, but also coached me through some poses that were some of my favorites when looking at my gallery. You might be thinking "do I actually NEED to do a boudoir shoot?" Eh, maybe not, but do it anyways. We're all at different places on the journey of loving and celebrating the body you're in but seeing yourself through her lens definitely helps the process along.

The experience starts with the studio space, which is stunning. Danielle came down to great me and she was warm and friendly. The whole makeup and hair process was effortless. Although this was my first time being professionally photographed as well as my first time having my makeup professionally done, it was a great experience. Siobhan had my images up quickly and her work is so outstanding that the most difficult part is narrowing down the images! The album I chose was leather bound and embossed. It was packaged up with a bow, indicative of the attention to detail these ladies have. I've recommended them to all of my friends and I'm looking forward to working with them again. They expect the nerves and anxiety to be going, so first your offered a little champagne to relax, which I gladly accepted. Siobhan actually gets into the poses herself to kind of explain better what will give you the best photos- pure dedication and patience here and she has the utmost professionalism. As far as the ideas for the shoot go, Siobhan nailed it when I told her my hubby was into motorcycle racing and I wanted to pose with his bike helmet. These were def his favorite ones. My results were jaw dropping, I couldn't even believe it was me! She had taken so many beautiful classy shots that it was really hard to choose just 20! And wait until you see them edited! LOL. She even honored my ridiculous request to scale my bumpy nose down a bit and shade out some spider veins that were nearly invisible. My, now, husband adored his wedding gift! The album is beautiful, with nice thick pages, and you even get to help approve of the layout of the pages! I wasn't expecting too much of a reaction out of him, since he's really a man of few words and VERY hard to excite, and his reaction was worth more than anything else to me. She is super responsive via email, which I really appreciate, and is ALWAYS on time. Carly is really bubbly and puts you instantly at ease. My husband is super shy and hates photos and she made him feel comfortable and he looks so happy in every photo - I expected him to look annoyed after about the first five minutes. She really listens to what is and is not important to you about your photos - I made it super clear I wanted photos to go quickly and didn't want to spend a lot of time on them. I asked for one specific photo, and she not only got everything I asked for, she paid close attention to make sure she was adhering to what I DIDN'T want too. Our photos went by super quickly, without drama, and everyone was happy. She also noticed that when my flowers arrived the morning of the wedding incorrectly and I was scowling at them, she quickly hid them in a closet so I stopped getting upset. The BIGGEST HOLY GOD thing about Carly is how QUICK she is to turn around your photos. I had my engagement photos within a week, and a preview of "the" photo I wanted from my wedding the next day. I had a selection of photos (a few dozen) about a week after the wedding and ALL of them a few days after that. It may have even been less time than that, but I was on my honeymoon and not entirely sure when I got them because my service was so crappy I couldn't download them and was really bummed about it.
