The location is good for taking a walk around town. Our bed was HUGE and so comfortable. Val and her husband recommended Magnolia Grill for dinner and it was delicious. The next morning we had a yummy southern breakfast waiting for us with my favorite CC's coffee. I recommend this place. We paid 135.00 plus tax and gratuity for one night stay in a king size four poster bed.

This past weekend was my second time to stay there, and although there's an abundance of exquisite bed and breakfasts in Natchez, I love this place so much I really can't see myself staying anywhere else. You will not find a better view in town. Imagine yourself standing on the upper balcony, contently gazing out over the bluff as a couple of tug boats push barges down the river as the sun sets over the Mississippi. You can see the lights across the river in a nearby Louisiana town. It's picture perfect. There's also a lovely kidney shaped pool with bamboo blocking the view from the street, and plenty of comfortable furniture on the wrap around porch where you can sit and relax. It's just a quick walk across the street to the historic Natchez City Cemetery, and a short drive to downtown. This place is absolutely gorgeous, inside and out. The stunning main dining room is in the middle of the house. The interior is less elaborate than many of the historic mansions you would tour, but they make up for it with breathtaking views and upgraded amenities. There are no ornate marble fireplaces or hand-carved moldings, but there are no cramped, dingy dated bathrooms either (at least not in our room). Our room was filled with period antiques, including a firm and comfortable canopy bed, a mirrored armoire, a drop lid desk, two chairs in front of the fireplace, and a few tables. There was also a television, a mini refrigerator, dark wood laminate flooring (so we didn't have to worry about coming in wet from the pool or shower) and a gorgeous updated bathroom. The bathroom had beautiful travertine tile on the floor and half way up the walls, accented around the shower with glass tile. The bathtub was deep enough that I could soak my entire body at one time. The room and bathroom were pristine. It was the perfect combination of old meets new and we loved everything about it. The trip was planned as a romantic impromptu getaway for my husband and me. My husband had to work, so my 20 year old son went with me. The establishment gladly provided a fold out cot for him, complete with a thick comfortable mattress, at no additional cost. He enjoyed the stay as much as I did. Worth mentioning, they host weddings and other gatherings so you can enjoy that incredible view and experience with your loved ones. If you want to experience Natchez at its finest, Weymouth Hall is the place you'll feel right at home. It was so perfect we didn't want to leave. I'm already planning my next visit.

We had a very nice stay at the Riverboat B&B. We were only going to be staying in Natchez for one…read morenight, so we selected the smallest and least expensive room. This particular room only had a tub with a handheld shower, but we knew that going in. The room was comfortable and furnished with antiques. The whole house, for that matter, reflected historic charm in architecture and furnishings. The home was clean and cozy. We were the only guests staying that night, so we had the whole house to ourselves. We let ourselves in and out with keys/keypad, and the caretaker was in a cottage home on the property only a few steps away. The only things we would have improved if possible was that our room got uncomfortably warm during the night. We had to turn down the thermostat in the main hallway (which felt much cooler) to adjust our room. Our room also on the front of the house, so there was some noise from traffic (engines, music, talking) during the night. The best thing about our stay was the breakfast. Warm bacon, the freshest farm eggs with thick, rich yolks cooked to order on English muffins with warm hollandaise. Warm large sweet muffins with homemade fig jam, coffee/tea, yogurt with fresh sliced strawberries. There was a washing machine and dryer that guests could use for $10 extra. The location was very convenient and within walking distance of everything we wanted to visit in town. The off-street parking on the property was nice to have for security since we had our car loaded with camping gear. Yes, pricier than box hotels and not as fancy as some of the mansion B&Bs in Natchez, but had a cozy, personalized feel of a family home.

I am in my lovely room as I write this. This home is beautiful, yet warm! And, I think what makes…read moreit even more special is the father-daughter team that runs it. Both are kind, friendly, and approachable. When I arrived several hours later than I said, Elizabeth graciously came on-site quickly and welcomed me with such genuine warmth and joy, I felt like I'd "come home!" Her father had just returned from Baton Rouge. And, although they were preparing their own dinner plans, both took time to make sure I had everything I needed, that I was comfortable, and that I understood that their only rule for me was to consider The Beaumont House as "my home!" I do, and it's so easy to do so. It is beautifully appointed, without being pretentious. And, the bed is one of the comfiest I've slept in (and I've traveled the world). I'm in the Laura Room, but I pretty much have the entire house to myself, since I checked in on a Monday night. I toured the remaining rooms. Each has its own personality and is nicely and creatively decorated. It is now Tuesday, and I have decided to extend my stay so I can soak in the beauty and Southern hospitality of this special place. Ambiance/decor - A Service/Hosting - A+ If I ever return, I will stay here.
