We seriously had the best experience with Robert and Kasi. They really make a great team…read more I'll be honest we were concerned at first when we found out that the "crew "was a one man crew. But man do I tell you Robert can get so much done even in a day ! We were thoroughly impressed with his work. If we didn't like something or if we noticed something and pointed it out to him, he would fix it. Another thing that we really loved about them is their communication. We always knew when Robert was coming or going. There were no surprises of what time he was gonna show up, which with another company, we had nothing but issues and had no idea when they would show up and do work that was not the case with these guys!! They were both very professional and anytime we made adjustments They provided an updated estimate. Robert would even show us what he did at the end of each day as well. We initially contacted them for one big job in our basement, and we were so impressed with their work that we had them come back for 4 different jobs. I believe them to be extremely reasonably priced. They were a tad more than another company that we looked at, however, we are so glad that we went with these guys over them. I really only had one single complaint if you can even call it that. But sometimes Robert would use things without asking. (One Example: our nice kitchen broom to clean up construction dust) we just bought a new one and didn't say anything cause it's not a huge deal, but do wish he would have asked as we had another broom that could have been utilized for a dirty job. But seriously I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat!

Great service, did an amazing job fixing my ceiling. Will definitely be bringing my service back.read more

Shafer Construction - Basement Framing

Shafer Construction

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Shafer construction first of all lacked basic communication…read more They would show up one day and tell us they would be back the next day and wouldn't show up for 3 or 4 days. They wouldn't answer calls and texts when we were wondering why they weren't there, and this happened on several occasions. It took them 6 weeks to only HANG (not tape or mud) roughly 500 sq ft of the 1200 sq ft job. With their lack of discipline to finish the job the completion date was pushed back 3 separate times, resulting in our termination of their contract since only 500 sq ft was hung 6 days prior to paint coming in and still needing doors base and case installed which obviously couldn't be done with the drywall not being hung taped or mudded. They covered 8 outlets, 3 light fixtures, 4 air ducts, 3 air returns ,and one exhaust fan in their lack of attention to detail. They also required half up front first to go buy materials just to pick them up, drop them off and not return for days to start the job. They did not clean up after themselves, not only construction debris but garbage from their lunch. And after the termination of their contract the following contractor still had to bring in $1800 worth of drywall to finish the job. Having given them half down for the deposit and not even half the job finished by the termination of their contract they refused to return any money and to this day has not returned phone calls or texts. Showing the true character of the personnel behind Shafer construction. If you're looking for a quality dry wall contractor to get the job done right these are NOT your guys. Which seems to be the a common theme throughout the reviews that we failed to research prior to contracting them.

Big Yeti Builders

I hired Sias W. Parsons IV, Derek Parker, and Ryan Riggs from Big Yeti Builders LLC in Ogden, Utah,…read moreto demolish an existing deck, construct a new deck, and install a Renaissance Classico cover over a portion of it. The cover has leaked since shortly after installation, causing water to pool on the deck and creating a slipping hazard from ice buildup. I first contacted the company for warranty support after the initial leak in the fall of 2025. Derek Parker came out and retaped the seams on the awning, stating that this was the repair method recommended by the manufacturer, Renaissance. After the first snow in early December and then thaw, the awning began leaking severely. On December 4, 2025, I reached out again and left multiple voicemail messages and emails requesting assistance but received no return communication. On December 18, 2025, after I sent an email, the company finally acknowledged my concerns via email, took responsibility for the lack of communication, and promised to schedule warranty work. However, as of January 19, 2026, no further action nor communication has taken place. Because the office phone is not answered and voicemail messages are not returned, I requested via email that someone come out between January 9 and January 16, 2026, to at least document the situation including written notes, photos, and a detailed description of the problem and to confirm next steps for repair since we understand it may be a challenge to repair in the winter time. That request has gone unanswered. In my experience, Big Yeti Builders and its representatives have not followed through on their stated commitments regarding warranty service. Communication with the office manager, Kim Crandall, when she does answer the phone, has also not resulted in any confirmed action or resolution. As of January 19, 2026, their contractor license (#10687874-5501) expired. This review is based solely on my personal experience with this company. I recommend that prospective customers ensure they receive clear written documentation of warranty terms, follow-up procedures, and payment schedules before hiring.

I have nothing but good things to say about these guys. Contacted them about an estimate for…read morereplacing my deck. Bill came out to my house on a Saturday to do it. When we decided to use these guys he came back on a Saturday to do our contract. He stuck to the estimate he gave us and gave us exactly what we wanted. He even took the time to discuss how the deck should be rebuilt so that it will last longer. They came out on a Tuesday and started in. Torn down the old deck, cleaned up the area, then stared in on the new deck. By the end of the day most of the new deck was done. The next day was finishing up the trim and installing the railing. Again, once it was done they did a great job cleaning up the area. Saving this company's business card for other work I need done in the future. They are worth it.
