I've come here on occasion but I always have one issue with this place.
The price.
Now don't get me wrong, you'll be looking at about £5-7 for a box of their food, and you get a fair amount. However all you are really getting is some meat, sauce and noodles... And saying 'some' meat is generous, you can count how many pieces you get as they are usually just thrown in on top of your noodles.
I usually opt for the veggie box as it at least feels like a little more effort went into the meal and you get more for your money.
The food itself does taste nice and I usually order some Prawn Toast as well as the noodle box isn't enough to fill me up. But even the side's are quite expensive.
They do have some offers, including the lunch time menu. However I think they need more, especially in the evening. Perhaps include a drink and side in a bundle or something.
Anything to divert my attention from the fact I am paying over £5 for a box of noodles...
The staff can do their job. I did have an issue with being completely ignored while the woman on front talks to the chefs out the back. However that was a one time occurrence so I won't hold it against them. The service is acceptable and the staff bring your food to your table which is a nice touch. Saves you having to stand around waiting.
The seating is fine, as long as it isn't too busy you shouldn't struggle to find somewhere to sit. However they seem to have opted for having bigger tables but less of them. Which gives it a 'School Canteen' feel.
Overall Tokyo Wok provides a unique taste to the local area. The food is acceptable and so is the service. The only thing that lets it down is the price, or lack of offers in the evening.
I've also seen they have recently started offering Sushi. I am a huge lover of Sushi so I will visit at a later date to find out how their Sushi is and update this accordingly. read more
