They are incredibly rude if you ask questions and get very defensive rather than providing you with an answer. I have worn the same prescription for years and when I got my eyes tested at this store the outcome was completed different. I suppose this could happen, but naturally I was shocked, because I had an eye exam not that long before visiting their establishment. I asked how this could be and the person just started yelling rather than providing me with an explanation, which one would expect from a company claiming to specialize in eyewear and expecting customers to spend hundreds of euros on something designed to improve their vision. Following this I had my eyes examined at two other companies and these were in line with what I typically have in terms of prescription. Long story short this company uses outdated methods to establish the INCORRECT prescription for eyeglasses and contact lenses. Not only that, but if you question their methods they refuse to explain or provide any guidance. In short: A very unprofessional company, which I would recommend everyone avoid. There are many other better stores in Amsterdam with much friendlier and knowledgeable staff. See other stores reviewed on Yelp for a suitbale alternative.

Went in to ask a lot of questions about how getting glasses worked in the Netherlands, and found it to be quite simple. I made an appointment for me and my husband for us to get a free eye exam. Service couldn't be better. Really! Everything about pricing was explained to me on my first visit. Though we have Dutch insurance, we don't have vision. But with these prices, it wasn't concern! The eye exam was standard and the man giving it was super nice and was happy to explain everything...even the process. The hardest part is always picking out the glasses. But someone even helped us understand things we might want to look for based on our preferences. And he was super patient considering how long it took for us. Honestly, I'm happy to recommend this place to everyone!
