(For context, I'm an automobile attorney, so I know exactly what to look for.) Shockingly, they flat-out refused to provide it. That's a massive red flag. Any legitimate shop operating in Massachusetts should have no problem showing proof they're properly registered. The refusal alone tells you everything you need to know. Proceed with extreme caution.

I expected the same; unkept promises, rip-offs, incompetence, lies, etc. However, that is NOT J&A Auto Body. Let me explain: I had a car accident in Georgia and the insurance company and their "preferred" repair shop in GA wanted my car to be a total loss. When I brought my car up here, repair shops took forever just to look at my car. Was it repairable, was it totaled? Who knew? So, I checked out Yelp and read the great reviews for J&A. I was skeptical and didn't really believe my luck would change but at this point what did I have to lose. Below is my summery: 1) They never over-promissed but they over-delivered 2) Eric felt like an older brother looking after my best interested with my very difficult insurance agency. I have no idea how much of his time he spent back and forth with them to ensure my insurance company stepped up so my car could be repaired in a timely manner. 3) Eric kept me posted every step of the way and was honest about where everything was in the process. 4) Eric was so incredible knowledgeable - seriously! Wow! 5) My car came out soooooo gorgeous! Everyone thinks it looks better than it did when I purchased it. No one would ever know it was in an accident. I will use them again and again whenever I need anything done. I only wish they worked on houses ;-) I keep telling everyone. My only fear is they'll be so busy they won't have time for me. They take off all of the seals and stuff on the car so that the paint job will last, so it's a little more expensive than other places, but I decided to save up for this better quality work and just do it. I'm *so so so* happy!! My car looks better than the day I bought it on those panels. The paint color perfectly matches the rest of the car. They even detailed the inside for free and touched up other spots on the car. They were super nice and very responsive through the whole process. The team at 1st Class Auto Body has hit the highest level of benchmarks and standards that anyone can ask. I've been their three times. Two with my new Tesla and previously with my SUV. I scuffed up my new Tesla getting use to the wider body frame and they went above and beyond to get the correct red color for the scratches, but, also lent me a loner car (a luxury sedan) free of charge while my car was tied up for three days. Since I was paying for this myself, they were more than fair on the price, in fact coming in below the estimate. They detailed my car before I arrived to pick it up. Looked showroom quality!!! He mentioned that the owner, Herman was out for the weekend but would be back on Monday. Herman contacted me on Monday after my car was towed to their shop to discuss the timeframe and details of the job. I was quite concerned and wanted to make certain the job was done right! Herman worked with my insurance company to make sure I received OEM parts for my car as he explained that the insurance company had only provided an estimate for aftermarket parts. Herman kept in close touch throughout the 3 week process of having my car repaired. I was also very concerned about the vinyl hood covering and he made sure he took it to a shop that did the job correctly instead of trying to "fudge it" himself. My car was ready the week he promised however there was one small detail that Herman took care of immediately after I brought the car back for him to correct the issue. While I was there he custom painted some trim for me and applied it to my car. My experience with Herman and Archstone Auto Body Inc was outstanding and I feel all of the "details" were take care of. A couple of guys came out, looked at the car, took the VIN, all my personally identifiable information and gave it to their boss... who promptly told me he won't do it because he doesn't use customer provided front bumpers. Apparently customer provided OEM bumpers don't work just the bumpers he orders. It's his shop and that's fine. What's not fine was that he wasted an hour of my time for something he literally could have said in a Yelp message. And now I'm left wondering what they plan on doing with my VIN, home address, phone number, and e-mail. I just read his response. I literally had never been to this area of Tewksbury before let alone his shop.

I also went through the other driver's insurance, and was concerned about how much of a fight they would put up with fixing my car. The car is fairly new and looked great before - was the insurance company going to cheap out and mandate low-quality parts? And either way, what if I could not find a shop that does quality work and it doesn't end up looking right? It turns out there was nothing to fear, because the guys at Gigliotti nailed it. They handled the insurance company, did a fantastic job on the repair, and did it all as quickly as possible. You can tell these guys pay attention to their customers - they have a sort of old-school customer service-oriented approach, and were all gentlemen. I am just so pleasantly surprised that the process went as smoothly as it did, and that my car came out of the shop looking like the accident never happened.
