I started my search for tree removal on Facebook Marketplace. Of the half dozen advertisers that I contacted only Sean Bartrige was considerate enough to contact me AND follow up with a phone call. He was at my home that same day to give us a fair and accurate estimate for the removal of 3 truly huge red oak trees that loomed over our house. He was ready to start work on the day we arranged and brought down the first of the trees easily and safely. He and his crew cleaned-up and stacked the wood neatly for us. The other more difficult trees took a bit longer but Sean and his employees arrived early each day to perform their job and never took a break. The trees came down in sections without damaging our home or property. Throughout the process Sean kept us informed of what he had done and what was coming next. There were no hidden charges or extra services pushed upon us. I am truly amazed by how different our property looks and how clean the crew left our yard. Fall will be a much easier time of raking the yard from now on. To the Max was always professional, safe and tidy. When Sean took down our tree, I was told he had kept everything on my side of the property line, as requested. After he left, discovered that the majority of it was on my neighbor's, who called me to complain. I called Sean to return to correct the problem, which he did. However, he promised that he would have everything stacked and neat before he left. New have a huge mess in my front yard with logs too large for our chainsaw. Was promised that, when he put my name out there, someone would come to take the wood - a month later, it all is still sitting there. Tried to call, but his phone has either been disconnected, or my number is blocked. Either way, have no way to contact him to make good on his promises. Have shelled out $700 to get the tree down initially, as well as another $400 to finish it, which was not done. Very disappointing. read more

Sean answered my phone call after hours during the evening and as a result of our conversation, we felt very comfortable with a strange vendor. However, after speaking with him I was struck by his sincerity and his intent to do whatever he had to do to satisfy the customer. He went to the property the next day and removed two trees. Sean was absolutely amazing. This dude tackled a tree that 3 other companies turned down like it was nothing. I previously had requested quotes from 4 different companies. 3 said they wouldn't touch it. 1 wanted 4.5k to remove the tree. Sean did it by himself for SIGNIFICANTLY less. When provided a quote, instead of throwing a number, he first asked, "What can you afford?". I had told him I'm waiting on income tax money to pay and that the tree needed to come down as it was dangerously close to our house and leaning in its direction. To The Max Tree Service recently trimmed two big trees in my back yard that were interfering with the wires coming into my house. They did an excellent job. 1. They actually answered their phone rather than having me leave a message that may or may not be returned. 2. They came promptly to give me an estimate which was very reasonable. 3. They exhibited knowledge about the types of trees I have and explained where they would cut and why based on how the trees grow. 4. They came two days later (as promised) and did the job. 5. Sean and his crew were the best! I had three large pine trees removed from my yard. I called and he was out quickly to provide a quote and they got started on the work pretty much right away. Sean was very communicative and explained what they were doing every step of the way. Shawn was willing to travel an hour to take care of a broken tree that was leaning on branches close to some power lines. He came out immediately even though it was 7 pm and took care of the problem.
