Jaime and his crew are detail oriented and have a high standard when it comes to doing a project…read more We had Jaime do a full bath renovation and I wanted to save some money by doing the plumbing, painting, electrical and wood trim. I was going to have an outside vendor install porcelain slabs for the shower walls. Jaime was happy to make that work -- his proposal was clear about what he was doing and made me comfortable that we were on the same page. His price was very fair (I had received some other quotes that were crazy high and a couple others in the same price range). He did the demolition, some framing (blocking for grab bars and towel bars), and all of the tile (floor, wall, and shower niche). He was able to work with my schedule since I was doing my parts of the project on nights and weekends. From the moment he arrived at the house, he laid down floor protector from the front door to the bathroom and got to work making sure any question about approach was talked about with me. We made a few minor changes along the way (changed the height of the accent strip of tile) and the final product was excellent! The walls weren't straight and Jaime was able to make it appear perfect. They were on the job around 8:30 every day and some nights were still there after 6pm. Every night when they left, they vacuumed and left the house in as good of condition as when they arrived. I am so pleased and would highly recommend Hebron Tile to anyone!

Plus he made some design suggestions that greatly improved the overall look of the room. This man really knows what he is doing. Of equal importance, he is a person of integrity who stands behind his work and takes pride in it. We couldn't be more pleased. I would engage Jaime again in a heartbeat. BK, Essex, CT

Absolutely awful experience with Angelo. I have remodeled several homes and have worked with dozens…read moreof contractors. This bathroom project seemed pretty straight forward and he literally walked off the job screaming at me. I have never, even remotely, ever had an issue or experience like this before. First, we waited about a month for him to start the job, which wasn't a big deal as we wanted to be accommodating. We were very clear with what we wanted and with what materials (tile) we had already purchased. We showed him everything prior to starting and had several conversations having to re explain the situation. Fast forward to when he finally installed the shower pan, it was cut too short. He wanted to place a step into what was supposed to be a flush walk-in shower floor. I could not have been more clear about this and had shown him multiple photos prior to him starting the job. I questioned him on it and he got VERY upset. I was able to calm him down, but he ended up having to fill the gap with wood and hardy back, which is not ideal because it needs to be pitched for water to run off and now it is not. What floor tile he did lay has multiple pieces popping up already (thankfully nothing was grouted). He could have fixed the pitch issue when he laid the floor tile, but he made it even worse. It's like he put too much cement in certain areas and little to none (hence the loose tile) in others so water can pool in places it should not. He also did not finish the floor tile (only half of the floor). When we finally got around to laying out the format of the wall tile, I had to explain AGAIN what we needed. This was not new information and my husband had been there several times for other discussions. Angelo FLIPPED out on me, screaming that I had changed something when we had told him multiple times the exact square footage of the two types of tiles we already purchased for the wall. I tried to diffuse the situation like the first time and asked him calmly to take a deep breath so we could talk. Nothing helped the situation. He just would not calm down and then took off. I immediately locked my doors. Throughout working with Angelo he tried to drive up the price on multiple occasions. His behavior was really just a tactic to do so. The quote was reasonable, but it certainly wasn't cheap either. Since him walking off the job we've had to contact other contractors. I've already had one look at the work he did and was told I would most likely need to remove or replace the floor tile he put down. The walls would also need some work and we would just have to hope the plumbing was done correctly unless we wanted to open everything up and start over. The hardy back he put up has multiple cracks and gaps because he pieced it together with remnants he already had when our quote did include material costs. We had already paid Angelo nearly $1,300 and materials were less than half of that. The new contractor also didn't understand what the issue with the wall tile was. Angelo claimed one type of tile was too difficult and it would cost us more money for him to do the work, but the tile never changed when he quoted the job and I've seen projects where this type of tile is used in its entirety. The whole thing was bizarre. Out of many concerns, we decided to cut our losses and told him not to return and he actually had the nerve to send us an invoice for approximately 70% of a completed job. I'd estimate maybe 20% was done (more than what we had already paid him) but the work was not done correctly. Angelo was referred to us by a friend who had used him for a small job so we never did our diligence when hiring him. He seemed like a good guy, but please, please beware. If you are reading this, the other two reviews are spot on. He's a terrible businessman and a very shady person. He has a terrible temper with no respect for women. His work is questionable, at best. He left us with a huge mess, was terribly behind schedule, and does not seem to be stable.

I was referred to A+ Tub and Tile by "friends and neighbors " page from fb. Angelo Darienzo came…read moreto my home and gave me a quote for refinishing my tub that was higher than his phone quote, which I could understand, given the particulars of our tub. My husband and I both liked him and hired him. He was supposed to come by in a couple days to do some prep work to a small rusted area, which he said would take five mins, and had to sit for a couple days. After not hearing from him for a week, I called him and he apologized for forgetting. I said no problem, and he came by a couple days later. When hiring him, he said he had a one -two week start date, which also was fine. Two weeks went by, never heard from him. I started leaving messages on his cell every couple days but he never returned my calls. The following Friday I left him a message to call me by Sunday or I'd assume he was not interested in my job and I'd find a new person. I also told him on his message machine that unless he called and at least explained why he was blowing me off that I'd leave a full review on Yelp. Well, here it is. I don't understand why any business person would feel that this is appropriate behavior in any business setting. One star is really not accurate. Zero stars is what he deserves. I'm just not sure how to apply that.
