Just want to make sure because I'm in a wheelchair and cannot do that stuff myself". And, "So to make it look like the trees were never there, it'll be $1,900? How soon can you do it?" They left a very large root sticking up out of the soil on one of them and a big part of the actual stump on the other one was not ground down below the surrounding ground surface and they just covered it up. There were wood chips all over my yard and driveway. There were 1-1/2 inch rock around the trees. When they left, there were rocks all over my yard, way away from where they were working! They were suppose to seed it as well and did not do that either. I text him multiple times to try to find out when he could come back and finish their incomplete job. He ignored my messages a couple times, which is not unusual because I had to text him multiple times to get him to answer me on several other occasions. The owner left about 2 hours before his workers were done and unfortunately I paid him the remaining balance before the work was completely finished. And now I cannot get him to come back and finish grinding the stump out. He also had to return to my father's house to regrind stumps! Just a word of caution if you hire them! I will say, they did a good job cutting the trees down but that's where the good job ended! And now I have to hire someone else to come finish their incomplete stump grinding job. And I had to hire a kid to come help my father rake up all the rock and wood chips, so my lawn mower didn't get damaged or shoot a rock at my neighbors car or house! You can see for yourself, in these pictures, all of these things I've mentioned above. This is what Boyd's considers a finished job!

I had a huge emergency. a 70 to 80 foot oak fell completely on my roof. did a lot of damage, spanned both sides of the pitch, which couldn't be fixed to seal up the house until the tree was off. So what does 24 hour emergency tree removal mean to you? that they can be reached at all times of the day or night and get on it. They did exactly the opposite. so meanwhile I stopped calling other companies because after all you can't have two or three companies coming out. you already got one that if you rely on what they say you should be set. Well its now 3 or 4 days since and still no return phone call. So finally I went with Precision (715-584-1412) out of keshena and they truly can do it almost on an emergency basis. I bet if for example you called them at 1 am they would be there by 8 am, but still by far the quickest up here, and they did a great job. they had someone to answer the phone (no answering service) came out within an hour, sized up the job and were out early the next morning and got it done. Gave me piece of mind I was going to get the tree off. I get it. Some of these other tree service companies are so busy they don't need to call back. That's great when times are good for you and lots of work. and maybe you always will have lots of work so customers don't matter to you. But put yourself in the shows of customers who truly rely on you and are in the midst of what may be the most devastating thing that ever happened in their life from a material point of view. So my advise to Yelp readers is those in need of emergency service don't be fooled by Shawano Tree Service. Hope this helps some other customer in an emergency.
