I had to call Corey today (on a Saturday) during the Covid-19 crisis to help me on a DIY switch replacement. I ended up healing off a wire and had no idea where to put it so after calling Corey, he switched over to FaceTime to have a virtual look and in about 2 seconds he spotted where it should go and I was able to fix the problem! I hired Dirk Klein to do some work on a renovation project, and I could not recommend him to anyone…read morebut my worst eneby I am sure his electrical work is fantastic, just do not expect it to happen on time or on budget. He first assured me that he was capable of doing general contracting work. His quoted price and the price he charged was not remotely close. The first job that he quoted me $5,000 to do cost me $15,000 (which I paid - I subsequently found another contractor to do the work). He then offered to install four cable outlets - as a favour. Another electrician quoted me $200 to do the work. At the end of his "favour" he presented me with a bill for $1,200 - nevermind the fact that it was done poorly and not to spec. Remember, this was cable TV that he was installing, nothing actually electrical required. I still had to have the other electrician clean up after Dirk's handiwork. To follow up - he's decided that it makes sense to post negative reviews about my company online, even though he's never been a customer of our business. Try to find anyone else to do your work for you. I have heard other rumblings from people using Dirk to do electrical. Very slow, very expensive.
