The facility always looks and smells clean. They provide rides to doctor's appointments and have relationships with excellent healthcare providers and a pharmacy that delivers. I toured three facilities before choosing Masonicare and am SO happy with this choice. My dad likes the location, "most" of the people (LOL), and says the food is "pretty good" which is pretty high praise from him. (Before he moved we tried Meals on Wheels, which he described as "inedible".) They have a lot of activities and although he doesn't participate in all of them, he's enjoyed the ones he has. He has a one bedroom apartment with a walk-in closet, and a small separate living room and kitchenette, which works well for him. Although he'd prefer to be at "home" (now sold), he says Masonicare is a good second option. This really is phenomenal given he originally refused to consider assisted living. Highly recommend checking out Masonicare if you are looking for either independent senior living or assisted living.

Deirdre at Visiting Angels was able to schedule the coverage to start right away; that was a huge, huge help. The caregivers have been kind and competent. We have only needed them for about ten days since my mother is working on increasing her independence again, but we will contact them again in the future as needed. They are able to cancel upcoming shifts with 24 hour notice, which makes things more manageable. Their hourly rate is not cheap but it is in line with other similar providers in the area. I definitely recommend them.
