Response June 16, 2020 First I am not in jail and have never been arrested, charged or convicted of any crime nor have I ever been in Jail. Nor do I currently have any judgments against me, both of which Mark states or alludes to in his June 16 2021 response. I am in fact nationally certified as a fraud examiner and been gainfully employed for decades as a compliance and fraud auditor. I believe every citizen has a responsibility to know the laws and to know how to access the Courts in defense of their rights. And I am glad to see Mark finally acknowledged you do not need an attorney in small claims court. I have been successful in the cases I have referenced: proceeding pro se - having a massive defamation case against me dismissed and receiving an award of costs in defense of the action and I have recently obtained a Judgment against a party for certain costs owed me. But it was a lot of time and work. Granted I saved a lot of money - the estimates I received from Attorneys for defending the defamation complaint ranged from $15000 to $25000 paid up front which I did not have- but I had to become versed in Court rules and applicable case law for that circuit. Was it worth it proceeding pro se? Yes. I prevailed and I learned first hand how the US legal justice system really functions vs what we are taught in civics class. But it was a lot of work I was curious about this attorney after these exchanges. I accessed the Hillsborough Court website (which is impressively accessible) at hover.hillsclerk.com under Mark's atty number 870676 and researched his cases for the last 3 years to ascertain his win/loss record and while I still believe he is a bulldog and rude, he has taken at least one case for which I commend him: Watson v Palms Inn (under a different name) and upon reading the Complaint, Mark appears to be vigorously litigating a claim in protection of an individual who was locked out of his rented hotel apartment. So good for him. While I am an advocate of pro se rights, if you can afford an attorney without mortgaging your future, I highly recommend you retain one. There is more to litigation than just researching case law. I have been very successful in litigating my cases in DC and VA pro se (out of financial necessity: I do not have $400 per hour for 20 plus hours nor did I have $15000 in cash laying around the house), but in DC Courts are very pro se friendly. I have not litigated a case pro se in Florida. And to confirm, I have not retained Mark and my review was posted based on his response to my online question. So for his advocacy that I interpreted from the above referenced case, I am raising my rating to 4 stars and wish Mark great success in Watson v Palms Inn. read more

Didn't like how I was treated or spoke down to. As if I was an imbecile and wasting their time.

I called Mr. Tischhauser. I had a landlord tenant issue. A very dirty landlord. He took the time to go over my issue in a very pragmatic way. I've already paid my retainer for representation, because I was impressed by his kick butt attitude and brutal honesty. If I want someone to make me feel good and tell me neat stories, I'll visit a comfy bar with a grizzled bartender. I honestly could care less about how "politically correct" my representation is. I need legal assistance and advise from someone that knows their stuff and understands the adversary and how to get results. I'll go elsewhere to be petted like a puppy. read more

Would give him no stars if I could. Don't see why this attorney is still in practice. I posted an issue with avvo for advice. And he was insulting accusing us of doing things that were shady. And doesn't even keep track of who he's talking to. He rants on after every comment I made and even when I told him to stop he continued. And got upset when I requested to have my profile removed. And messaged me. He seems to be obsessed and has all the time in the world to be always on internet insulting people. He has issues. And another thing he was a car accident attorney giving advice on a business issue. I do not recommend him at all. Much more to share, but think I will keep it at that. Very Unprofessional, unstable and Rude Attorney who is ignorant of the law and extremely judgmental of the clients without knowing the fact. Most attorneys will quote laws and facts, this so called " attorney" will insult and attack you personally and mock you. This strategy is to insult you into hiring him much like a car dealer may say something like " Someone like you could never afford a nice car like this, you may to try the junkyard " type of mentality. I think his rude an unhinged behavior may be him trying to compensate on his lack of knowledge of the law. I am shocked the Florida bar would allow something this like to practice law. Spoke with Mark today bc I had a previous lawyer quit on me during my case and Mark was referred to me by someone who used his law firm 20 yrs ago.
