I am really, really lucky to have Tiro Liro just down the block. Honestly, I value my home more because this place is nearby. Great to watch football, for sunset dinner with my wife, to meet friends for dinner or drinks.
The problem here is that its difficult to stop for a couple of chopps. There is a self service bar with little appetizers. Traditional bar snacks are well executed and presented. And its too easy to stay for dinner. So it can get expensive having a place like this nearby. And, to that end, another problem is that they have a decent selection of single malts.
The opening hours are strange for me. Open for feijoada on Saturday, but not at night. But it can be really hopping Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, for dinner only, but not too late at night.
Tiro Liro attracts people of all ages. I don't always chat with the other customers, but most everyone I talk to turns out to be really interesting. Staff is professional and caring and at the same time keep their distance, leaving you to enjoy your friends. It's feels great to frequent a place like this where the owner and the staff take pride in what the do. read more
