I have been shopping at the family of Tire Kingdom stores since I was in college. I've trusted them for new tires, oil changes, brakes, alignments and much more. I'm taking an eight hour trip next week and wanted to purchase an extended alignment package. My car is a 2017 with roughly 22,000 miles. I've had one alignment a year ago. I have been purchasing this package at Merchants/Tire Kingdom for 15 plus years. Currently they offer one, three and five year package options. I selected the 5 year package costing $209, plus taxes. So, for the next 5 years I can take my vehicle in for an alignment whenever it is needed. This is a GREAT deal! My first alignment at the dealer cost $89. I didn't want to pay this much again when I could go to a reliable mechanic shop such as Tire Kingdom. I did have a little extra wait time when dropping off my vehicle than usual. But Howard explained to me that they were so busy that everyone was working on a vehicle in the shop. I walked to Mambo's Cuban Cafe and grabbed dinner then to the Dollar Tree to buy snacks for my trip. By the time I made it back to the shop my car was ready. Overall it was a good experience. But I hope next time I'm back they will have their waiting room ceiling leak issue resolved and more mechanics on duty to work on cars. read more

Do I have to give any stars??? DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT. As of now, my son has been waiting over THREE HOURS for an oil change he had an APPOINTMENT for!!!! Granted, he's 17-years-old and is taking HIS car for an oil change for the first time. He is not aware an oil change with appointment should take no longer than 45 minutes. I called Tire Kingdom at 3:45pm, 2 hours and forty five minutes after my son's oil change appointment, only to wait ON HOLD for over 20 MINUTES!!! I was greeted by the manager, Joe. He indicated he was short staffed. I told him 3+ hours for an oil change and my hold time is unacceptable. He didn't seem phased or concerned. I am giving the manager, Joe, an opportunity to make this right... I welcome any suggestions and feedback. ***update 6.7.19 My son's oil change was complete by 5pm. He was at Tire Kingdom for FOUR HOURS. He was not charged for the service so I will update my one star review to three for average. I waited to write this because I was angry. I spent over $950 for, initially, tires, but they pushed brake pads, an oil change, and wipers, so I agreed. They were nice but when I got home, they must not have put my hubcap back on because it fell off within a mile. Also, they didn't screw in what needed to be sealed to keep the oil in because it immediately leaked out the next day. I feel like I wasted time, money, and car parts. I'm disappointed. FEMALES BEWARE! DO NOT TRUST TIRE KINGDOM! I drive a Dodge Challenger with expensive low profile tires. Came to Tire Kingdom because I had a flat tire with a nail in it. They kept my car for four hours and then called to tell me they could not repair my tire. They also told me that two of my other tires also had nails in them, and only one of those could be repaired. So three nails in three different tires, and two of them needed to be replaced. They said they couldn't do anything for me that day because they were getting ready to close, and they didn't have my tires in stock. I asked what they could do for me so I could get to work the next day and I was told they could put some air in my tires but I had to get their soon cause they were closing. I arrived less then 10 minutes later and sat and waited 20 minutes for them to hand me my keys. They did no work to my car, kept it for 4 hours and then kept me there for another 20 minutes after rushing me to get there. I had a look at my tires and I did not agree. The nail that was giving me trouble was more than an inch from the sidewall and my tires have only 13,000 miles on them. There should be no reason I needed new tires. The next day they called me and told me that each tire would cost me over $200 a piece. I took my car to a different tire shop where they fixed 2 of my tires in less than 20 minutes. Here's the kicker, there was no third nail. No leaks, no problems. They tried to sell me two new tires when I didn't need them! I wouldn't be surprised if they put the second nail in my tire, because i wasn't having an issue with that tire until I brought it to them. The sexist pigs at Tire Kingdom saw a female, saw expensive tires, and thought it would be more profitable to lie to me and sell me two tires I didn't need instead of actually helping me. This is the coolest most modern looking tire/ repair shop I have ever seen. I love that they invested in giving it a different look than other oil changing tire repair replaces. The waiting room had free coffee, lots of magazines and TruTv playing. The only downside, they took FOREVER to replace two of my tires and do an oil change... I got there around 5 and left at 8:30 (they closed at 8). I was comfortable though because like I said, the break room is awesome. I will be buying my next two tires from here and coming back for future services. read more

We purchased 4 new tires($800) for 2014 GMC Sierra, got car back in time to leave on trip to Raleigh. As soon as we hit 95- ride was so rough, it shook horribly. Once we got home ( after 14 hrs of terrible ride), took car back to check balance/alignment. Was told it was very bumpy because rim was bent and it wasn't aligned??? Told nothing they would do- no options or assistance. If rim was bent when it came in, u would think they would have said something so we didn't think they did it- So- since no solution offered- we took it to Sun Tire- guess what??? no rim issue- Balancing was totally out of acceptable range- all balance #s were over 1.0 w/ one tire over 7! We spent $64 we should not have had to spend- but at least we had someone who knew what they were doing!!! I would NOT recommend this store!! read more

My 20 year old granddaughter dropped off her car because the brake pedal was low and the brake light came on. Tire Kingdom called with an estimate of repairs totaling $836. The repairs listed the removal and replacement of both rear wheel cylinders. They were supposedly both leaking. Replacing 2 brake hoses, 2 brake lines. $671. Brake fluid exchange totaling $83. Shop fee of $35 and taxes of 47.64. I spoke with the service guy and he told me that they had to order parts and it would not be done til Tuesday. This was on Friday at 5:30 PM. I told him not to start any repairs. I picked the car up Saturday morning and brought it to a small independent repair shop that I previous used. He replaced one leaking brake line, replace some brake fluid and bled the brake lines all for a small fraction of what Tire Kingdom wanted to charge. And I had the car back at 2PM on Saturday. Very disappointed in the fact that they misdiagnosed the problem. $83 to do a brake fluid exchange when all that was needed was to add fluid and bled the brakes was a total ripe-off. Of course, a young girl with no knowledge of such things is at their mercy. Check the reviews and see if it has good or bad reviews. I did my part. read more

NO WayI wish I had read the reviews before using this tire Kingdom location. Unfortunately I was in a situation where I needed to have my flat fixed and I didn't have a choice. First of all they tried to sell me four new tires because I had one flat and I only have 18,000 miles on my car and it's only a year and a half old. That right there is ridiculous. Second when I picked up my car the air pressure in the tire that they put on new is 40 tire pressure. The max for that tire is 32. All three of the other tires for 35, 36 and 33. Which means they did not even try to balance out the air pressure in the tires. I did call them and Carson who answered the phone was very polite and said he would talk to the guys that this was an unusual situation. Based on the reviews I don't think it is. I told him that he sure was ready to sell me four new tires but they couldn't even get the pressure right in one of them. Absolutely low quality work. We will not go back there, there's too many other places in the city to try. Just because they're convenient doesn't make that a good idea. read more

So My Wife bought tires on line and had tire kingdom mount and balance them. When she paid and left they wobbled. So my Wife calls and they give her an appointment at 4:00 next day. So I went with her this time and we encountered Howard. I realize I wasn't in the best of moods coming back the second time to have a tire place redo the tires. But right off the bat Howard has an attitude and after we explain why we're back. His response very rudely was " We close at 6:00". I understood immediately that Howard had no interest in helping us, so I asked if there was another manager we could talk to. Kevin came out he was friendly and professional and hooked us up right away. So we left. And when called came and got the truck my Wife drove it a bit and seemed fine. The next day on the highway at faster speeds it starts wobbling real hard again. So rather than bring the truck back a third time and possibly have to deal with Howard again. My Wife and I decided to just pay another place to start over. So we took the truck to Discount tire right next door. The guys at Discount tire said they were way out of balance, My Wife drove it on the highway everything is fine. So it cost us $40 to learn never go to Tire Kingdom. Bad service. Basically had to talk them into helping me with my tires. Then they told me the tires I've used over the past 10 years are not the right ones. I would have to pay more for different ones that they don't have in stock and would have to wait a few hours for them to bring them from another store. They seemed to have a problem for every one of my solutions. I understand their main concern is to cover themselves from any liability but I even told them they could put the new tire on my spare tire rim and I'll do the rest myself. I ended up being there for over 2 hours. Whenever I would look into the window I just saw the guy talking. I really like the personal service that Shawn gave me today. I have purchased my tires there for years and have road hazard warranty. When one of my tires registered low he checked the pressure of all and even set up an appointment to come back later and see if we can check out one tire a little more to make sure I'm safe on the road. He explained that there's a sticker on your car to tell you the tire pressure and what kind of tires you need for the car as well as how fast you can go in them without a tire blowout. Had an appt and was told oil change and freon check would take 2 hrs. It's seems they forgot to check the aircondtioner and were reminded twice. It's been over 3 hrs and they're still not done. They're barley checking the freon level. Still waiting Update: They were unable to finish the service because of the time frame. However, at 5 o'clock, I was still sitting in the waiting room, my car was still sitting out in the parking lot, and had not even been looked at yet. Absolutely the worst place on planet earth to buy tires or service. They will try to up sell you on bogus warranties and if you don't buy them then the cost of the tire changes. I "had" to buy an alignment warranty to get a "deal" on my tires. A year later I return to the store for balance, rotation and alignment only to learn I purchased a 6 month warranty. Who the hell in their right mind buys a 6 month alignment warranty. So ridiculous. So I ask for the manager and this jerk comes out from the back, doesn't introduce himself and only says there is nothing I can do. I think his name was joe but how would I know since his rude self didn't even take time to ask me what the problem was. Shawn is cool. Bought Nitto tires here two years ago. Have been back four times to get tires rotated. A service they tell you is free if you buy your tires there. Maybe it is free...I never found out. Never could get the job done. Always had to leave it with them, or wait an hour and a half to get it done. That's too long to wait for a 10 minute job. Today there was only one car in the bay and no one waiting in the room. Lady told me an hour an a half to wait for it. Remember when choosing where to buy your tires. Service AFTER the sale is just as important as price and there is none here. read more
