I'm surprised this place is still open in light of my horrible experience here. I needed a water pump replaced on my vehicle and stumbled upon Tire Barn. They demanded I buy the overpriced dealer part which I refused to do since I found an OEM substitute manufactured exactly like the dealer part. They ganged up on me to pressure me to do things their way. Not appreciated. Literally the business next door is an auto parts store where I purchased a new OEM water pump for half the dealer price. The Tire Barn "mechanic" did not install the water pump correctly and it was leaking fluid. Obviously the mechanic did not take care to tighten the bolts evenly. They ganged up on me again and blamed me and the part, saying I should have bought the dealer part. After a big argument they agreed to reinstall the water pump the next day and I would pay for more labor. My car was left there overnight. I wanted the repair done ASAP as I did not expect a 2 day repair. I waited in a nearby restaurant as I didn't want the bad vibes at their shop. Their waiting room was not pleasant either. However they did my repair at the end of the day as I waited 8 hours. They knew I was waiting and I really think they delayed me for spite. When picking up the car one of them bragged they "made $700 using the lift today" working on every other car before mine. The OEM water pump I supplied worked fine when installed properly. Breaks my heart to leave such a negative review. I brought a pair of brand new tires for my BMW. I'm not trying to push my nose in the air, but pointing out that this is a car that requires attention to detail. I bought a pair of Continental Run Flats on Tire Rack, and needed them installed. These tires are $300 each. It was a Sunday, and pickings were slim. I found this place on my way home. I specifically said I wanted the tires installed and BALANCED. Guy says no problem. When he wraps he says its $40 cash or $50 card. I only had my card, so I let him use that. After about 5 minutes, I'm wondering whats going on. Eventually he says there was some problem. I check my bank account and he charged me $60.29. No idea where that round number came from. But to be honest, I was fine with it. Really just wanted to get home, and so I left. I drove home on the street, so everything seemed good. Then that evening I had to pick my wife up. I hopped on the freeway. As soon as I got above 70mph, it become 100% noticeable that the tires were absolutely not balanced. Want to make a $50k car drive like crap; dont balance the tires. I picked up my wife (its her car by the way). Entire drive home she was afraid the car was gonna crash. At 7am this morning, I immediately headed out for a reputable tire shop. Had to pay another $30 for a balance. I gave the guy a heads up on what was going on. He let me know the right was so far out of whack that it was a serious problem. The left was also out of whack, but not as bad. Drive home after that it was apparent that the problem was solved. I'm sure the owner is going to think that I'm the white devil. Like I said, it breaks my heart to leave such a negative review. I'm all for helping everyone out. I was completely fine with the overcharge. However, I was not at all fine with finding out that the job was done half ass. Unfortunately I have disputed the charge with my bank. If the owner would like $20 for the half job done at half the price that was originally quoted, please reach out to me and I will send you a crisp $20 bill. Otherwise, the charge to my credit card is being revoked. read more

Cuidado aqui This place has ridiculously low stars and now I see why. Came into today and I gotta say that my experience as a customer here is horrendous. I have expensive aftermarket rims and the two owners who are brothers lied and said they are business friends. Basically what happen was he mounted my front passenger tire on wrong and when I had told him that the direction of the tire was wrong he got mad at me? I am baffled about this situation because aren't you supposed to be the shop owner??? Not to mention he ruined my expensive aftermarket rim by accidentally dropping a rim face on the floor. When I had brought it up to him he said I was crazy. Do yourself a favor and read the past reviews because it's clearly true. If I could I would give this place zero stars. One five star review makes me believe that's a friend or a family member because service was very far from that and besides 6 years ago one review and a 5 star chyeahhhhh right! We thought we were going to purchase a new tire but the tech patched it perfectly with a special patch because it was a gnarly nail. He could've made money off of us (we have great tires) but he chose integrity instead, and because of that this is our new go-to place for tire related issues or any other services they offer. If i could give this place zero star, i would rate it I drive a 2016 S600 Maybach to thier store today with a brand new tire that i need them to install for me. Since i have a flat tire but my tire is a "Run Flat" tire so i can still drive a around for a bit. After they installed the tire, the entire rim look really dirty because it was raining. I found out my rim was SCRATCHED all around. So i show that guy the SCRATCHES and he kept saying he didn't do it and I scratched myself. I told him because he put my rim face down that's why it got all dirty and scratches. He couldn't answer that question but kept saying he didn't do it. I asked to talk with his boss but he said the boss is left and he doesn't have his number. I asked for the boss name and he said he doesn't know who is the boss. One of the best things about the place is that it is open on SUNDAY! I had a flat tire and drove all the way there (with another car of course) to get 3 tires replaced under $100. They even installed them at a very fast rate and promptly too! Now, allow me to give you a quick run down: They are fast and efficient, however, there might be a language barrier. They speak little English but mostly Spanish. Given that they are quick, don't expect superb customer service since they'll get the job done real fast. I would advice to call in advance to inquire about tire sizes. The place looks a little run down, but what do you expect? It's not like Costco, but it seems like it's family-owned. So in short: + Quick Service + Open Sundays + Cheap/ Inexpensive - Location/ Appeal Bonus: Tell them you'll rate them on Yelp and they'll give you a tiny discount :) Worked for me at least, I got a $5 discount. read more

Man I love this place! I have been coming for the past 5 years just waiting till someone slips and falls in a funny way(you know like when an obese person gets hit randomly in the testacles) I know It's sad but the folks that change my tires are as tall as my 22 inch rims. Not only do they seem as they don't have the power nor force to make it happen but these Lil kids make magic. I come in and they speak super fast and they are super nice but they work quick,they are friendly and extremely wreckless that it makes me want to call the E.D.D.(they are risking their life becuase they are not working at safe conditions at times )But 10 stars all day . came here cuz i caught a nail in my tire. so i came to the nearest tire shop at the moment. stopped by the tire barn for a patch. let me say before coming here, bring a gas mask. from the moment i stepped out the car all it smelled was cigarettes . as i took a few steps out, looking for someone to service my car, the whole entire lot smelled like fumes . i nearly had a heart attack and quickly covered my nose and mouth with my shirt as i continued to look for service. apparently they share the same lot as their neighbors, an auto body paint shop. these dudes be painting cars outside instead of in the garage. you can smell paint fumes for a whole entire block. well anyway, i stood there with my shirt over my nose and mouth for 30 minutes while they patched my tire. yes, i sed 30 minutes to patch my one tire. apparently the guy patching my tire didn't know how to fix the grinding tool so he asked the coworker to help fix it and that guy took his sweet ass time fixing it while chit-chatting to an old friend of his. so finally after standing in the blazing sun, my tire was then mounted onto car. might i add, dude didn't even balance my tire. i asked why he didn't so so and he responded with that he had already marked it and mounted the tire on the same spot to it should be balanced .. uhh okay what ever that means. i asked him how much i owed him and he sed $15. i paid him that $15 even though i thot it was a little too high for a patched tire and for not having a waiting room for me to get away from all the fumes flying around. in the end, i'd never come back. if i were ever stranded cuz of a tire problem, i'd walk the extra 2 miles to another tire shop that's not called the Tire Barn. read more

Don't believe the other reviews if it's not 5 stars. I give this place of business 5 stars because not only did they provide me with a phenomenal deal on 4 used tires, the owner and his staff were very honest! They are very good people! I had purchased 4 used tires for an amazing low price and they got it done really fast. Then once I started driving home, I noticed my cars steering wheel shift slightly to the left while driving. I called the place back and mentioned this. They said I may need an alignment. But I told them, prior to the replacement tires bring mounted by you guys, i had no problems with alignment. I personally thought they were trying to sabotage me but that wasn't the case. The shop owner then said bring the vehicle In tomorrow and he'll take a look because the shop was 5 minutes from closing. Once I brought it in today he took a look and switched the left and right tires and he test drove it and the issue disappeared. I TRULY appreciate businesses like this where they provide you quality service which includes speediness, honesty, and customer care. THANK YOU TIRE BARN! read more

My experience here has been hit and MAJOR miss... I had been here a few times in the past and I got my tires as needed... basic prices... nothing out of this world... whatever service... really it was just recommended by a friend. Then, one time I decided to get a new set of tires on 2 different cars... well... they did a fine job on one... Basic service... dismount and mount ... prices were decent... on the other car however.... my goodness... the guy using the air pressure gun to put my lug nuts back on wasn't paying attention and put them on crooked... so... they got stuck... then he continued to try to jam them in w/the air pressure gun... then he had to saw off the part of the bolt that he had completely screwed up... well... turns out he did this on another bolt... and about a week later... my tire was wobbling and I only had 3 bolts on... which even after tightening, they would loosen... suffice to say... I'm lucky my wheel didn't fall off while I was driving at high speeds... I ended up having to have a mobile mechanic friend of the family come out and replace the bolts on my discs to mount my tires on properly after their "NUT" job. I was gonna rate them a 2 star (for all my decent times there) but after writing this all out... yea... 1 star read more

These guys are great in selling re used tires that have been patched over and over and theyll install tires with thin sidewalls on their tires without telling you *sign tire was drove on while flat*...if you want to lose money all while not making the drive to vegas then head to tire barn.. ohhh and they also got specials on not fully tightening your lugs!! read more

I came here a while back to buy some used tires for a car that I'm restoring. I just needed tires that would get the car around if I had to tow it to the body shop or roll it around my driveway. They quoted me $30 each but they only had 3 so I thought that was high but I didn't want to drive around so I agreed and would get the fourth tire somewhere else. When I pick up the tires they didn't balance them or even put new valves in. I was in a hurry so I just grabbed them. A couple months later I went to put them on the car and they are flat. They don't hold air at all. I went back because I'm now ready to buy new tires for my new rims and I bring in those tires that don't hold air so I can ask them to give me a deal on the new tires. Compared to bigger chain tires stores they charged me $20 to $30 more for the same tires. Hopefully they balanced them correctly but I won't know until the car is finished being restored. I would have been better off going to Americas Tire. read more

I can't believe the other reviews. I have gone to Tire Barn in Santa Ana three times in the last year. Once to get my air conditioning fixed which was somehow draining my battery, once to get my tires replaced on my truck and just this week to get my radiator fixed. I think these guys are very reasonably priced and very honest. They did a great job and solved my truck's problems. An honest mechanic is hard to find in this city and I feel lucky I found these guys. I will keep going back there every time I have a problem with my vehicle. It is not a fancy place but it is functional and maybe thats why they are so nice and affordable. I'll take a small neighborhood garage any day over a big chain that charges you to replace the whole thing when only a few parts really need replaced. read more
