Yes, it's a small university, and if you're huge into giant sports games or activism, there isn't a lot of that (however, they appear to be expanding on these activities at a rapid pace). However, if you want to get a good education and pay much less, this is a great place to go.
At a larger university, you get lost (both literally and figuratively) in the sea of people, and professors don't know who you are. They are often more concerned with their research than their teaching, and it shows. At IU Kokomo, that's not the case -- your professors are available and often eager to meet with you if you need guidance. Some of them have even acted as mentors to me, and I am still in contact with them. Not to mention -- the professors in the science department (among other departments, I'm sure) are such GREAT people. They are very open-minded and tolerant, and they want to see you succeed. They will sometimes even go above and beyond to help you reach your goals. I can't express enough thanks for that.
I also worked here for a brief time as an adjunct professor. Again, I was treated with respect and met with enthusiasm. It's a nice feeling to work with such great people.
