I recently visited Tipsy Scoop for the first time and honestly had a really fun experience. The concept of boozy ice cream is such a cute and unique idea, and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. I ended up trying the Cake Batter Vodka Martini flavor and loved it -- it was flavorful, creamy, and definitely worth trying if it's your first visit.

Went on two separate occasions and they were out of stock of basically all the sorbets each time. One time they one had one flavor of the sorbet second time they had two flavors. But no mango , cherry blossom, or strawberry . Only had raspberry sorbet. Had many of the icecream ones minus the second time didn't have the hazel nut one. So couldn't do the speciality flavors I wanted the tequila sunrise . And it wasn't enough of one of the flavors for the flight. It was good just need to be better stocked especially when it's not even cold yet . Place is cute just small. Service is good they are nice.

Tipsy scoop is an amazing experience in the NW area of Washington DC. They offer a wide variety of boozy ice cream options to include flights! If your local or have the ability to travel with a cooler you can also buy pints to go. The inside is a bit small but the decor and service is amazing. You can hardly taste the liquor in the ice cream and it's more of an art with the creations that they offer! My must stop when visiting DC.

My third time here and this place NEVER disappoints Make sure to try the flavors! It's very hard to pick a favorite because they are ALL good! Make sure you stop by!!!

I recently checked out Tipsy Scoop for the 1st time. I got to meet the owner Danielle who has a great vibe. They serve liquor-infused sundaes, ice cream cocktails, and flights . It also has vegan and Non-alcoholic flavors available for kids and non-drinkers. They recently launched their Boozy Holiday Flight Experience, so I stopped in to try their newest seasonal flavors and trust me, it's worth the visit. They host monthly Ice Cream Cocktail Mixology Classes. I'll definitely be back.

My friend was in town and wanted to try this spot, and I'm glad we did! The temps were in the 80s, so it was the perfect time for something cool. I love the concept here with ice cream or sorbet paired with alcohol like tequila or whiskey. I sampled several flavors, and while I was hoping to love the chocolate with whiskey and salted caramel (it ended up tasting more like plain chocolate cream), the raspberry limoncello with tequila was a winner. It was light, refreshing, and really delicious. The service was great too! Our cashier was amazing...she gave us suggestions on what to try and let us sample flavors until we found the perfect one. A fun bonus was getting to sign the signature wall, which added to the experience. Overall, I'd recommend stopping by if you're looking for a unique treat.

I decided to try this place after passing by the store several times throughout my time in DC. I decided to sample some flavors before I finally decided on the vanilla bean bourbon. I will say the scoop of ice cream was good, but respectfully, I will not go out of my way for a $9 ice cream scoop anytime soon. The staff inside was friendly and was very encouraging for me to sample all my interested flavors. Indoors, there are seats for patrons and interestingly enough, receives a decent amount of sunlight. Although I am glad I went to this shop, I will probably come by every once in a while due to its price and other ice cream options in the area.

Whenever I am in the DMV, I try to cross one of the places off my list). This time, I visited Tipsy Scoop (TS). TS locations are called barlours, a combination of the words "bar" and "ice parlors" (the British spelling of parlors). The DC location is one of seven company-owned locations. I am somewhat lactose intolerant and need to avoid high-lactose foods, so I was initially worried that I would only have one flavor to enjoy. However, when I visited this location, I found four vegan and dairy-free options available. I decided to try a scoop of each: raspberry limoncello and strawberry white sangria sorbets. Both flavors were delightful! I was especially surprised by the raspberry limoncello, considering that I had a limoncello in Italy last summer that I did not enjoy. You have the options of scoops/pints, sandwiches, sundaes, cocktails (both with and without ice cream), cakes, and flights. There are also non-alcoholic flavors always available for children and non-drinkers.

I went to Tipsy Scoop for their 1 yr Anniversary today! This location is vibrant and fun. I love this whole concept of boozy ice cream. You can either get it by the scoop, get a flight, or one of their fun cocktails. The guy behind the counter was so friendly and let me try all the flavors. Let me say they are all good. They even have a couple flavors without booze for the mocktail folks. I got one scoop of the birthday cake to help celebrate. I loved the taste and bits of cake in the ice cream. They also sell boozy ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches, and you can take away a pint. I can't wait to go back and get a boozy flight. The Owner Danielle was there. She is such an amazing person. Definitely worth stopping by for a nice treat.

Tipsy Scoop is NEVER A MISS! EVER!! My cousins came to town and the weather was GORGEOUS! So I took them down to Tipsy Scoop for some ice cream before hitting the museums! Of course the ice cream was DELICIOUS as always, they had a few new flavors, we were offered samples but the cherry blossom has me in a chokehold, I can't stop ordering it -- mind you, I'm a chocolate lover, so there's my reason to order two different scoops. They did have a peanut butter pint which was new and I took that home for my BFF to try. The line moved rather quickly and we were in and out with great customer service.

Tipsy Scoop is definitely a fun concept! The ice cream drinks are $25 and up, but the bright side is you get a souvenir glass--which I still use for my iced coffee, lol. The vibe was enjoyable and it's a cool spot to try at least once. That said, the alcohol content is only about 5%, so even after finishing the whole thing, it's not really "giving tipsy." For me, it's more of a once-in-a-while treat than a regular go-to.

    Jewel B.

The service was good--since it was our first time, they walked us through how everything worked which was helpful. I came here with my best friend for her birthday, and we really enjoyed the vibe, especially the outdoor seating! Overall, we had a great time and would definitely come back. The flavors were strong for sure, but in a good way.

This place has been on my list since it opened and I finally made it! The shop is small but welcoming and the worker was so nice and helpful. There were some great options and I was able to try a couple of flavors before choosing the spiked hazelnut and the tequila hot chocolate ice creams for my custom sundae. The flavors were so good. I definitely recommend this as place for a sweet treat for the 21+ crowd.

I paired this with ROASTED STRAWBERRY. They literally roast the strawberries before adding to the gelato. It tastes like real strawberries! It was phenominal, and my favorite of the two if I had to pick. My daughter ordered the PISTACHIO falvor, a traditional gelato offering. It was extra dense while creamy delicious. I sampled the OLIVE OIL soft serve. It tasted predominantly like vanilla. I wouldn't order this one. Expect a long line coming out of the storefront. It moves reasonably quick and is worth the wait! A short jaunt the hotel and squarely in downtown, it's an all things cobbler themed spot. It was solidly in the pretty good category. A little cold in the middle but it filled me up. The biscuits were excellent - like Bojangles good (Biscuit connoisseurs will feel that!). The Mac and cheese was good and the cobblers were solid. The mini cobbler was like $2 and came as part of a combo. Get that - enough to get a good taste, but not massive. The banana pudding (the bourbon walnut specifically) was the show stopper for me. I'm sure it's gonna box, but it was really good! A freezer held a wide selection of gelato pints, including some flavors not available in the display case. I appreciated that even the small cup could be split into two flavors. The gelato, vegan options, and sorbetto were all neatly organized, and the staff were generous with portions. Deeper into the shop, there was also a dessert case and a menu for coffee drinks. *Toasted Almond: intensely nutty and very forward in flavor. It tasted almost exactly like almond extract in the best way. One of my favorite nut based gelato flavors I have had. *Vanilla: similarly bold, with a rich and pronounced vanilla flavor. A sweeter take on a classic, but still very satisfying. *Green Tea: well executed with a clear earthiness. It was not overly sweet or milky, making it a solid and above average version. *Cherry Blossom: a seasonal flavor that could have easily felt gimmicky, but was handled well. It reminded me of a lighter lavender honey profile, not overly fragrant or sweet. It tasted natural and paired nicely with creamier flavors. *Espresso: true to its name, though slightly sweeter than expected. It was the least sweet of the group but did not stand out as particularly bold or aromatic. *Honey Mascarpone Fig: my favorite of everything I tried. The mascarpone added a slight tang and depth, while the honey and fig brought a soft, almost jammy sweetness. This was the most balanced flavor and would pair well with many others. While they do not offer as many flavors as some dessert shops, the quality across the board makes up for it. The execution is strong enough that it does not rely on gimmicks, and I would definitely return to try more of their seasonal offerings.
