Oh my goodness! What an adorable village. The interiors are so well made. Carpeted floors, mirrors, lamps, beds, chairs. It's all there. These houses are bigger than I had expected, maybe three feet at the roof line. You must squat down to look inside. Using my digital camera to 'see' inside helped a lot and revealed the surprising detail. Eagle scouts were on site decorating for Christmas when we stooped by. One of the houses is being repaired and the train needs to be set up to run before they open for the holidays. According to their social media page they open for the season this year on November 25th, but they are open all year 'round. Some houses are in need of TLC. A roof or two have moss, and the firestation is filled with cob webs. But honestly, if I were a spider I'd want to live in one of these amazing houses! This is a wonderful family outing location. Especially all lit up for the holidays and with Santa on site too. A donation box is located at the entrance, on the right hand side. It's not obvious, so please look for it and make a small donation to help keep this local public point of interest available for everyone to enjoy! One man's desire to build his cat a victorian home has turned into an impressive display. And yes, there are still cats on the property. Go check it out! read more

This place is SO CUTE during the holidays!!! Such a unique experience in Shippensburg. A great place to take photos and walk around with lots of lights, blow up characters, and more. They also offered free hot chocolate. Parking is free and nearby, just be careful when walking along side and crossing the road. Well worth the visit during the holiday season, especially with the kids! read more

Picture it..Shippensburg, PA, 1980-something. A retired man named Ernest Helm, owner of several cats, begins a side project in his backyard to build a tiny Victorian home replica as a cat house. A house complete with carpeted stairs and little itty bitty furniture. Soon there was a general store, a gas station, log cabins, Court House, a train station, a church, a firehouse, a farm, and a bunch of houses. And then it became Tiny World a small roadside attraction that picks up steam during the holiday season in Shippensburg Pennsylvania. They definitely go out all out for the holidays complete with hot cocoa, Santa and lots and lots of Christmas decorations. We stopped in during the day during a sleet storm to check it out. We found this roadside attraction on an app and even on a horrible wet day it was still a lot of fun for two adults. I can imagine this place would be a lot of fun for small kids to come here at night to see the holiday decorations. We were free to wander around since no one was there except for a very very friendly calico cat that seem to want to give us directions and a tour.At the entrance gate there's a lot of information about the tiny world construction and it's history. It is amazing to think that a hobby now is now an attraction that draws large crowds and consists of 20 minature houses that are each decorated. during the holiday season literally thousands of people come to visit tiny world. Visiting doesn't cost anything to get in but donations are accepted to help keep the place up and running. Ernest has since passed away at 91 years of age but his family keeps up the legacy. Visit their Facebook in advance to find out their hours and as long as you're respectful you were always welcome to visit during the day but most of the activity is during the night when the lights are all lit up. Tiny World is an old school roadside attraction off of I81. It has seen better days but still is neat! My kids aged (5) and (3) really enjoyed walking through the little Tiny World looking through the windows of the buildings. Tiny World is only about 2-4 minutes off of the highway and is a nice little space where you can stretch your legs for a couple of minutes while entertaining young kids. There is a little space to leave a donation. read more

I have visited this place so many times over the years shoed it to my kids when they where young and now showing it to my grand kids they all love it it is a wnderful sight to see and he done such an amazing job. read more
