Came here with a group of friends to watch the Portugal vs Wales EURO2016 match and overall I didn't have that great of a time besides my good company. However, 3 stars because the food was really great to the point where I'd happily pull up my review.
~ Atmosphere:
If I could describe the atmosphere here in one word, it's definitely be "hipster". This place gives off a really rundown grunge vibe and combined with the fact that they have "Bring Your Own Vinyl" nights, they are definitely a very trendy hipster establishment. The layout may be a bit confusing, with 2 bars - one upstairs and another downstairs, a large viewing room, and another main area.
Although I know that they were kinda going for the "rundown" ambiance, it didn't really work for me; I almost felt that you can go for that type of decor without actually being dirty. The toilet seats in the girls bathroom were not screwed on properly so a lot of the seats were at a 30 degree angle slid off the side. We were stuck with a really wobbly table while we were in the viewing room as well which wasn't fun. Any slight movement and our drinks got spilled.
~ Customer Service:
The customer service was lackluster, but nothing too terrible. It kind of felt like they didn't really care sometimes though. Nearing match start, there was a massive queue of people for the bar. Their card machine broke, but they didn't put up a sign or have any notification to let us know until we got to the front of the queue - which was really annoying. I know that something like that isn't part of their job description, but it would at least show some level of care for their customers.
~ Food / Drinks:
If you're a beer person, you're definitely going to be loving Urban Tap House - they have the widest selection of beers I've ever seen. A friend of mine who's a self-proclaimed beer connoisseur loves it. However, if you're not much of a beer person like me, you're probably not going to enjoy it that much. I had diet coke and it was the funniest-tasting diet coke I've ever had. They use the syrup instead of real coke, but I think there was definitely something wrong with the mixture because it was not refreshing at all.
I do have to give credit where credit is due though - Urban Tap House fulfills a niche for beer lovers and I promise that their lack of other drinks did not actually affect the final score.
Food-wise, their burgers are really tasty. On match day, they hike up the prices a bit and limit the menu - fair enough, I respect the hustle. I opted for the Fried Chicken Burger which was HUGE and actually really delicious. It came with a side of fries and slaw. Although my burger was phenomenal (the chicken was incredibly juicy and had the perfect kick of pepper), the sides were not that great. My partner and I ordered some pizza fries to share and we didn't even end up finishing it despite being a pair of gluttons. The burger itself was 4-5 stars, the sides were leaning towards 2, 2.5 to be generous.

Overall, if I judged Urban Tap House by my experience on match day alone, I'd probably give 2 stars. However, thinking about it, I'd be more than willing to come back - just not on match days. The food is great, the beer selection is out of this world, and everything is well worth the price. read more
