While you wait, there is a small market just behind LaWash. The only draw back is that its quiet and near the tram tracks that run outside leaving you somewhat isolated. There is also a wine bar and an a nice Empanada place opposite. Instructions are clear. A wash can cost €4 for the smaller machines - which can do your entire laundry for the trip! Detergent (and softener) is included and dispensed from within the machine. Drying will cost 3 €. Be vigilant in the area - it's nice family oriented but I've heard there are pickpockets in the streets as is the case in a lot of the touristy areas in Europe - (did not have a negative experience myself).
